Hey there... nice new pic!
2 nights ago he said in bed, that I was the "light of his life" and his "best friend," at this point. I told him that I don't know what I'd do without him and he means everything to me. This is true, to the emotional extent--but if I wanted to wax pragmatic on the matter I could say, honestly, that without him I'd probably be enjoying myself with someone else. I'm one of those that needs love all the time, and I have a penchant for dating wonderful, caring, sweet, nice men. I just fall for the nice ones. They're the best. I've never dated an asshole before. I just couldn't--loves are for making me feel better, not worse.
Glad to be alive and glad to have someone I love and who loves me.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Yuck!! I'll shut up now.
yes love is grand! I said this before and I'll say this again, "I'm a spoiled bitch."
BUT hey--life is what you put into it, and I'm a heart-sleeve-wearer. We get hurt, but because we put ourselves out there, we get what we deserve--what we put into it. When I first started dating my BF, I was more intense than him. Then after a year and a half, I started to relax--just as he started getting more intense. Now we're matched. He is such a loving sweetheart. So warm and nice to me! Caring and considerate.
Ahhhhhh!
and @ cannon
i know you will find someone you will click with. i also know what its like to feel lonely. but now i could never be with someone just to be with someone. that would never satisfy me. this is why i think its very important to gain confidence and learn to love one self. because when you love yourself the others notice and want your attention. a big hug to you cannon![]()
I've been sort of coming to some conclusions regarding dieting.
1. When you lose a lot of weight or get down to that final 5 or 10% you are literally fighting your body and it is going to fight tooth and nail to stay chunky.
2. You are guaranteed to go off track if you stay at it long enough. The trick isn't staying on track, the trick is getting back on immediately and not going on a binge. If you're off for a meal don't make it a day. If you're off for a day don't make it a week. If you're off for a week don't make it a month.
3. Exercise is key.
4. Constant support like I get from this forum is key.
You're on the right track. Find out what you were doing that worked and get back to it.
I'm on week 3 of couch to 5k now, I'll be catching up with you soon lol!!! (not Hi Valerie. It's awesome that you got back into running so quickly! Good for you. As great as other types of exercise are, nothing beats running, in my opinion. It just feels soooo good.
Umm hellooo, if you are coming down south...well you can't just not stop in santa barbara.. while we're at it, why dont we get everyone to come out to cali to have a WLF party, lol

Val I'm glad you're back on track. I love that you're not trying to be some rail thin supermodel, but a kick ass athelete. You really have the right idea to take this weight off, keep it off, and not feel deprived doing it.
