That's a damn nice dream! I wish someone would win the lottery so it could come true!!! :D Sounds like a blast! :jump:

Awesome workout Curvie. Thanks for the support in my diary. It sucks being down but I"m doing my best to get back in to things. Going for a bike ride right.........NOW. (Thinking of taking the insurance off my car for the summer to save money and force me to ride more.) Okay, NOW! Love your energy.

Curvie, your diary packs a punch! I've learnt so much from reading your posts. Well DONE on your progress and all the best for future challenges!
:) :) :)

Kezzypear, congratulations on getting to week 3 of C25K; that's a stunning effort and you should be pleased! I only hope I can be doing what you're doing in 3 months' time!

Shinsplint (aka kneesplint this week).

Oh Cannon, I'm sorry that you're a bit lonely! You're right, though, and I hope you can find someone good for you. Sometimes I worry that I am the type who needs someone to love all the time--but I can't put the extent of that to the test because I AM with someone fantastic. But I truly think that if I was alone, no way would I settle for someone bad for me. I've seen my mom and my best friends do that and quite frankly, it's a waste of time. Better to be alone and grounded, I think.

Lucky you dear! I always pick the bad boys who take months if not years to realize what they have in me  . I must take a play from your book  .

Oh well Happy Birthday or almost! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I wrote it thinking about my boyfriend and best friend. I seem to get along best with Geminis, Aries, and Sagittariuses. Hmmm, and Capricorns, too!!

What?? You weren't thinking of Angeline and me when you wrote your Gemini tribute? :rotflmao:

When are you coming to NYC??!

I've been sort of coming to some conclusions regarding dieting.

1. When you lose a lot of weight or get down to that final 5 or 10% you are literally fighting your body and it is going to fight tooth and nail to stay chunky.

2. You are guaranteed to go off track if you stay at it long enough. The trick isn't staying on track, the trick is getting back on immediately and not going on a binge. If you're off for a meal don't make it a day. If you're off for a day don't make it a week. If you're off for a week don't make it a month.

3. Exercise is key.

4. Constant support like I get from this forum is key.

You're on the right track. Find out what you were doing that worked and get back to it.

Canon, I think you're onto something there. It IS really hard to get that last 10 pounds or 10% off, nearly impossible it seems. The body must be tricked, either with different food or different exercise or a break or something. Lately I'm thankful that I've been maintaining rather than gaining back pounds I've lost. Val, perhaps you might focus on maintaining for a while rather than constantly worrying about the last few? I think you're looking pretty darn hot already! But I can see your somewhat of a perfectionist so I doubt you'll like that unsolicited piece of advice.

Cambodian Ground Fighting sounds pretty crazy. I bet that would be fun! I don't think I'll be getting involved in anything like that. I'm still covered in bruises from Saturday night when my bro-in-law and I got a little too strongly influenced by the UFC match. There are pictures and I'd show them, except I'm getting my ass badly whooped. Not a proud moment. Heehee

Morning Val!

That sounds like a pretty intensive class! Good for you for getting focused and motivated! And kudos on the running, girl! :) Have a good one!

Thank you Beth! It was very intense, and it sure is weird to wrap my legs around the waist of someone other than my BF!! Better not tell him the details....:rotflmao:

WOW! I am so happy to hear that, what an awesome dream! Wish it was reality....I need to get over to Eupope again, been to France, Germany, Czech Rep, Hungary, & Austria--but never for very long at all.

Nice for saving money and bike riding! Oooh, and less pollution!! Well, everybody gets the blues, eh? Hang in there!

Sorry your shins are messed up! Wow thanks, I didn't know people could learn much from here, ha ha!

Angeline! How cute! NYC, Europe....San Diego, Santa Barbara! Sheesh!! I've got some traveling to do!!!:jump:

Oh yes, and :eh:

PERFECTIONIST?!? HA!!
Sorry, don't mean to snort, I'm just flabbergasted. Hmmm, I guess I sound like it, huh? I always feel like I'm forgetting something....and sometimes I feel inadequate in getting things done....and I always try to keep on top of things and feel like I can never....then I say fuck it! and party hearty to feel better....yeah I guess so. Hmmmm *troubled*

Hey, thanks--!!

This morning: Cambodian Ground Fighting. A different type of workout altogether!! Let me tell you.....
Grappling. Wow! I'm not sure if I like it but it's interesting. Climbing all over each other, jumping over each other's backs and crawling between the legs. All started with 500 sit ups/crunches.

Sigh! But I'll be doing it every Thursday at 6:30am. :jump:

That sounds CRAZY!!!!!! Go CG :)
