Is Scott's Valley the name of the town you told me about? I am looking for hotels up that way for Beth and I in July.
Hi everybody I am new here. I have recently been on a training programme and I am doing quite well at the minute. Anyway I just wanted to say to everybody and that I look forward to all the information this forum can bring me.
hehe look at you all grown up now. I still <3 stoner chicks![]()
LOL, the nerds get all the best girls in the end!![]()
I LOVE nerdy guys! my current, who loves computer games, nintendo, modelling, politics, the list goes on! I tease him about it but I can't deny-nerdy guys really do rock!
I guess I'm a "nerd-jock". I love playing sports, but I don't follow them at all. I love weight training, but I'm a software geek. I was a jock in high school, and a nerd in college.
Hey CG! Hope you're doing well!
I have devised a much easier way of keeping track of my food: I am incapabale of keeping up with FitDay. I found that out. BUT my new Excel spreadsheet for calories now has a colunm: DEFICIT or under it SURPLUS. That way I can track it daily, and look back monthly and figure out if it makes sense. You know?! WHY didn't I think of it before?!?!?!
Calories in, calories out--your weight will eventually catch up with the laws of thermodynamics. Methinks. Seems like a lot of us are either plateauing or something on here lately. I blame it on the warm weather--i eat MORE in summer--the opposite of most people.
I can do this!!!!!!![]()

Sorry, I wasn't clear--I AM recording what I eat, as always, but I changed my spreadsheet so I have a space not only for the total calories for the day, but a space for that day's deficit or surplus. That way I can look at a glance, and do calculations, instead of going back and doing the math. Before I was just concentrating on the calorie numbers and it worked--but then when I got very hungry again I forgot what my maintenance was and I got into trouble. This will help, to know how much I'm up or down at the end of the day.
My BF is such a nerd I hardly have time to get on the computer at all in the evenings and do the FitDay calcs.
At work I can't type too much because I should be doing work! And I don't have my own office--anyone walking by can check up on me.
My diet is so varied, it would take me forever to stick in all the custom foods into FitDay and I just can't find the time to log my food. It's much easier to put it on paper in the privacy of my room downstairs. The disadvantage is I still don't have time for macros. But I am at a healthy weight, and I think I would be judged as crazy by my BF and friends and family for wanting to lose 5 or 10 "vanity pounds".
My goals have changed--it's not 130lbs or bust anymore.
Let me know how your excel spreadsheet goes on the calories, I thought about doing that myself, but then I keep thinking it's going to be a lot of work to keep up with it, I get rather lazy when it comes to updating spreadsheets.
Well, I've missed ya not being on as often, maybe you can get the BF to give you an hour a night or something, work out some deal.
Talk to you later!
