Curves, You look most HOTTIE!!! You take such great pictures, even when your just messing around, I hate you! HAHAHAHAHAHA You know I lub ya! You look like a size 2 for goodness sake. My left thigh is bigger than your whole body. HAHAHA I'm proud you found your way again and are working hard at it. Oh, Love the boots!
Kim

Wow, what a hottie! You must turn a lot of heads when you walk into the room. Yeah, Steve may be right -- bulking time!:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Thanks for all the compliments, but really, I'm sure Christine is making me look better than if I was alone in all the pics *modestly*

Hey Kim, thanks, I was trying to be photogenic. After years of taking pics I learned a few tricks about posing. In actuality, I had a 27 inch waist in those pics and probably 22 inch thighs, and am a size 7 or 8 in conventional dress sizes, so don't be fooled!

On second thought, I guess I DO look slim and a size 7 is pretty small. I don't think I have the build to ever be a size 2 and I'm not at all interested--I'm too "big and tall" for that--otherwise I'd look disgusting.

Doing good

I'm having a great day!

NO fog

Beautiful temperature

8+ hours sleep 2 days in a row

Sex or oral-sex with BF lately!

I really, really like these pictures I posted/just got from C and I want to get back to there. I am all bloated for some reason lately, but I need to really take a look at my nutrition.

Isn't it weird? To take a picture and think, "Wow, I look so thin in that picture," instead of "I look so fat in that picture". It's kind of a big deal from last December.

Today I had my cereal and soymilk and soy yogurt--but I had not only strawberries, but black, blue, AND raspberries!

Banana, some peanuts, a huge apple, 3 crackers, and lunch was a giant wrap--kidney beans on whole wheat tortilla with hot salsa, mango, avocado, and lettuce.

So I'm to 1110 calories, which is great, I don't feel like snacking, I can have a great dinner and be on the low and have a deficit, and I'm doing Kickboe tonight!

One problem: I still have not run since the race (May 6th). My feet are happy and my heart is missing the high intensity. My heel is much better but I'm afraid of opening the wound. I have gained weight since I stopped running, coincidentally--or not so coincidentally. But I shall resume this weekend!

ooo i love your lunch :) i think i might have that on saturday for lunch or friday for dinner.the only thing is we don't have whole wheat tortillas here, but hey can't have it all.
and you're doing great being back on track. sorry you still can't run, i bet you miss that as hell. but at least you're having sex lol...i have to wait another month for that (i'll see my bf in the end of june).
a big hug to you :)
Lena

Morning, Val. So sorry your foot is not quite back to normal. Looks like you've got the calorie intake totally under control.

Hey Val! Glad to hear your getting back into the running scene this weekend! Take care of that heel though.. I know the pain well and it's very uncomfortable.. especially if you are running.

On another note.. we made our final plans last night.. all bought and paid for so, we are definitely there! I'll shoot you a PM and give you the details here in a bit!

Have a great day!!

Bruce

P.S. Yay on the sex!! Best workout ever invented!

Thanks for the affirmation, Randy! Thanks for the kind words, Lena! Have fun getting it on all night! Thanks everyone for the running thumbs up!

This morning:

140.0 lbs

I told you, I knew I had not eaten a surplus to warrant the weight gain! I'd been........bloated and gassy, gross but true, after overeating for two weeks.

What I learned:
#1 It takes courage to admit you ate a surplus of 7000+ calories
#2 Always count--even when you're ashamed. It keeps perspective.
#3 Weight is crazy and calorie-counting keeps you focused so you don't despair
#4 Don't despair--start over and never give up

Gotta go!

All good lessons, Val. And congrats on getting back to 140. You know, there's a National Weight Loss Registry, and most of the people who have successfully kept the weight off do the 4 things you suggested.

It seems kind of daunting to track calories the rest of your life, but the more you do it, the less time it takes. And like you say, it keeps you VERY honest.

Update

Doing well, ready to get back to 137 at least. I liked it there and I need to maintain the loss.

Thanks for the support!

Today I did well, I ate a Berry Wafflewich, a banana, crackers, and a huge wrap! I put some salmon from last night on the kidney beans and kept the salsa, avocado, mango, and Romaine lettuce and cilantro.

Important Realizations:

#1 It is true for me--eating the same thing, or mostly, day in and day out helps me keep to my diet. I DO eat more when I have more of a variety.

#2 Lack of sleep and stress AND aberrations from my daily/weekly routine make me eat more. It's my fault, my will power is to blame, BUT these are influences I am now aware of.

#3 Guests/partying/dinner out also make me inclined to over-eat.

#4 Luteal phase....all bad.....must come up with a game-plan.

#5 Calorie counting is going to be here to stay. I've been doing it for 5 months and I don't see a reason to stop.

#6 Running is good for me. Very good--when I stopped, I ate more than I needed and gained weight immediately. There is no reason (except for injury) for me to stop. My whole family runs--my gramps, my mom, even my gramps on my dad's side ran.

#7 Weight training has kept my body fat in check. I KNOW this and I don't intend to stop. Twice a week is perfect!

Goodnight, sorry I will get to your journals later!
