Gone soon: Right on sister! It's really tough losing weight at any time in your adventure...but at the last 10-15 pounds--WHEW! Thanks for stopping by!

Rachie: Thanks, Girlfriend!

Tom & Bruce: Wicked girls amuse you, eh??? ;)

Sophie: Oooh yeah!

So my boss is out to lunch. Recap:

When weight training this early morning, I added 20 lbs to my deadlift, making it a 45 lb bar with 70 lbs = 115 lbs. It was easy, still! BUT my hands are weak. I NEED to get me little gloves!! Really badly! I found, also, that my arms are getting really, really toned. When relaxed, they are slim, girly arms with slight deifinition. When I'm doing exercises with 15 lb dumbells they get all sinewy and it is amazing me! Also, you know that stand that you hold yoursefl up with your lower arms and swing your legs slowly to a 90 degress position and then back again? I do 30 of those, and today it was easier than usual--it DOES make my hips very slightly uncomfortable but it's not bad, I can tell.

Wine class: Italian Reds. I brought the Ortman Sangiovese for the class.

Haveing a hard time avoiding the mini Snickers and Twix that are in the office--at 50 calories each they are just no good.

Feeling really guilty about not reading the diaries today--going to tonight or so. But at home the boys are ALWAYS on the computer!! Grrrrrrrrrr!

Daydreaming about debauchery today--whew! It's a blast!

Have fun everyone!

Curves, Is this what your talking about, black beans, avocado, corn, green onions, Green Pepper, tomato (rotel), Cilantro and a little lime all together in a bowl and mix well. Eat just like that with baked chips, OH MY GOSH, we live on the stuff during the summer. We got all our friends hooked on it too. LOL :D Oh, sorry this is regarding the post you put in my diary earlier.
Kim

OH MY GOSH, LIKE TOTALLY TUBULAR my friend. LOL gotta love ya Curves!!
I've got a lot to do, I'll get on later this evening after gym and after I find something to eat at home. We cleaned the fridge out last night, so that means I'll have to make up something fresh. Oh boy, what to do, what to do. See ya later!:eek:
Kim

I'm very impressed by your dead lifts! Nice going.
Sorry to hear you got some negative posts. I understand that it's frustrating for people to see someone who is at their goal weight who is trying to be thinner. You're less than my goal weight right now, but I'm perfectly fine with you being here. :) And will continue to support you the whole way. Hopefully you're not hurt. I'm sure people often don't mean to have things sound as hurtful as they end up.

Thanks for the positivity, everyone!

No, Deanne, I'm not too hurt--the person was obviously seething for a while for it to come out all crazy. I'm wild, but at the same time cerebral--not at all judgemental or close-minded, and I stay off of high horses. I DO get excited about new ways of doing things, and am somewhat proud of what my body can do right now.

Stats today:

Wine class--was Italian WHITES not reds. I drank about 4 oz which is 90 calories or so, added to my 1700 or so. I am skipping dinner--all the fault of my fucking co-worker who put the stupid chocolate "fun-sized" candies in our office (mad at myself, not her--regardless of how it sounds).

Today actually marks Month 5 of my vow to be 130-134 lbs by my b-day. My goal was to be 138.5 at this time--which I mastered. However, March 26th I was 141 lbs. So this month I only lost 3 lbs, a theoretical total deficit of 10500 calories.

It is amazing I lost anything at all considering my 3000 calorie days and drinking binges. Oh man it was so fuckin fun! Ahem: viewer disclaimer--some material may not be suitable for ANYONE. Heh heh. Regardless, I did my 5 month assessment:

What is working:
* My strict and fun exercise regiment that is cross training to the T, maihn!
* Watching my calories and staying away from really bad stuff like loaves of delicious breads
* Continued support from the wonderful, sweet, kind, and indulgent people on this forum
* My rising self-confidence and pleasure in my appearance (please give me that without calling me conceited. I know I look decent and know that I am not better-looking than anyone else, it is all in the eyes of the beholder--and I think I look good to me).

What is slowing me down:

* Drinking
* Getting bored and careless with calories--getting sick of being slightly hungry and just eating to maintenance a lot of the time--instead of a steady deficit.
* Binging on chocolate
* Eating too much at work
* allowing myself to indulge with friends when I'm out
* did I mention drinking?

Point to Make:

Three pounds still is not bad. I still did it! I have that to be proud of. I'm very happy with my body and how it looks in clothes--and it's great to be complimented a lot (used to be flustered, now and enjoying it for what it is).

Bottom Line:

Weight loss is slowing down and I know exactly why--my diet and drinking habits are not where they need to be to lose 5+ lbs a month. I know this and am not surprised--I'm actually surprised I lost at all! But I guess that's what happens when you work out 6 days a week and drag yourself out of bed at 6:15 am to run in Cougar Land in the cold! However, I can be at my goal for May 26th at 134.5 lbs....I am going to stop being careless and get back to business again!

Wish me luck!

Valerie, I wish you luck. And some of my incense and burnt offerings to GOM this week will be in your name.

Hey, three pounds in one month is nothing to sneeze at.

And stop at one or two glasses the rest of this month, OK? :)

Curves, You'll make your goal with no problem. It seem you had a lot of B-DAY parties the past few weeks or some kind of celebrating going on, so maybe that will slow down for the month of May and give you more time to focus on less drinking and less eating. Seems you eat GREAT when you cook at home. Do you typically eat out at work?? Or bring in something?? Maybe you should stop by a health food store and pick up some low fat or low calorie snack items that you can grab at work instead of the chocolate all those ladies keep bringing in. You know it's sabotage right. LOL LOL:D Keep up what your doing and you will be just fine!!! Have a good rest of your day. :)
Kim

LOL!

Kim, I ALWAYS bring healthy food to work--but then co-workers bring chocolate, doughnuts, and cookies and leave them on the kitchen counter and I can't help but grab some....sometimes I do well an avoid it, though--usually when I have a lot of fruit. But fruit was making me....TOO REGULAR, HA HA, nah, I'll get more fruit. I'm determined to stay straight and fly right this month--I just need to grab up the willpower I had the first 3 months. THANKS FOR COMING BY!

138 today. Good! I want to lose 5 lbs this month, BUT when I think about it, I get nervous.....I can't even imagine being 133 lbs *sweating* what's my problem? I was so excited about it and now anxiety? Is this how a man feels before he gets married? LOL!!!

Well, why the hell not I have a goal for fuck's sake, trying to get to it!! Today will be a good day. I promise!
