It feels good to be back @ home. I was in Idaho and Utah the last week and on the go always. This didn't really help with eating good. There was some positive that came out of it though... I now have more determination to do better and to reach my goals.

I can't wait to get back to the gym tomorrow and start working out again. I am also grateful that I will be able to plan out my meals for the day. It will feel good to get going again.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the support they you are. This is a great place to come and get and give the support that is needed on this journey. Have a great night everyone!

Good morning everyone:
I have been trying to do my journal entry at night after I get home from the gym, but it has been getting later and later. Last night I got home from the gym @ 11:30. So I think from now on I am going to write it the next morning.

It felt really good to be home from our trip, I can know get back to eating like I was before. It was amazing to me that after cutting out the crap that I used to eat that when I did eat it again how it made me sick. I am not sure how I ate that stuff all the time before. It is nice to know that my tastes change and that I want the good stuff to eat.

It also felt really good to get back to the gym. It was a good workout, when I was doing squats my legs felt really good and I did more than I have in the past. I think I am really getting down the form finally. Now I just to work more on my deadlifts. I still have a fear that I am doing them wrong. I will get them though.

I am a little disappointed in myself last night. The only time that I have to work out is about 10:00 at night. I know that it isn't the best time to work out, but it is better than nothing. Last night I was really tired and fell asleep on the couch and stayed there till I woke up this morning. I really needed the sleep, but I missed going to the gym. I missed cardio, so maybe tonight when I do weights I will do cardio as well. We will see.

I did do good on eating yesterday. I still need to come up with different ideas on stuff to eat as I am not getting not enough to eat. I have been doing really good on my daily water intake so at least there is a victory even if it is small.

Welcome to September. I can't believe that another month has come and gone. Yesterday was a good day. Saturdays are my cardio days and instead of going to the gym my family and I went for a 4 mile walk. That was a lot for my 4 and 2 year old. they walked/ran the whole thing. It was a lot of fun to get out by the water with the family.

We bought some turkey burgers at Costco they weren't too bad. We have some ideas to try with the left over ones. It is fun to try and experiment with the food to have healthier food for the family.

Good morning everyone:

I know that is weird, but I am glad the weekend is over. I always seem to have a harder time on the weekends than I do during the week. It always seems that I am on the go and never have time to eat properly and get to the gym. Now that it is the week again I can get back to my routine.

This weekend was good for one thing. It was my nephews birthday and we went to his party. All of my family made comments that it looks like I am really doing good. That made me feel really good. I know that I can accomplish this, but it is just going to take time! I hope everyone has a great day.

Good evening everyone,
This has been a hard week for a lot of things. I have been really having a hard time getting motivated to do anything the last couple of days. I get home from work and just crash, I have no energy to do anything. I hope this changes soon so I can get back on track. I haven't gained any weight, but I fee like a lazy slob. Sorry to vent, but I just had to get it out somewhere. I am going to try my hardest tomorrow to get to the gym. I will post if I am able to make it.

Well after not really doing that well on working out and doing ok on eating I got on the scale this morning and it said 196! I feel good that I have actually lost a pound instead of going up. This weekend I plan to get back fully on my plan. I will be glad to share the success with you all.

I made it to the gym last night and I feel good about that. I was doing the elliptical machine and I seem to have a real bad struggle in wanting to complete the 30 minutes. I did finish it, but I sure wanted to stop. This isn't normal for me, but I am assuming it is because I have missed a little while. I feel good that I pushed myself to finish it though. Tonight is weight lifting and I would much rather do that instead.

My food intake is really good lately, I need to do better on drinking enough water, but it seems that I get so busy during the day that I forget to drink the water.

I know I could be doing better in this whole process, but I know that I am doing better than before. My goal again for this week is to make it to the gym all the times I am supposed to. I am going to have a hard time on Friday as it is my anniversary. I got married 3 days after September 11th 2001, my heart goes out to all the people who suffered during that time.

I have been swamped at work and it has made it hard for me to do the exercise that I need to do. I hope that in the next week things slow down enough for me to get back to my routine. I have still been eating better so am not gaining everything I lost, but I think some.
Tonight won't be good on eating though. It is my 6th Anniversary with my wife and we are going out tonight. I figure it should be ok to eat out on occasion. I hope everyone has a great day

Well yesterday wasn't any better from the work aspect. I am covering for another guy and doing two jobs is a lot of work. I am still keeping my food intake like it should and I am happy about that. I need to do better about getting to the gym. I am determined to get to the gym even if I get home after 10:00. Luckily I have 24 hour fitness so I can go whenever, but it always seems hard to get motivated when you get home @ 10:30. Enough complaining from me, I hope to be able to report to everyone that I made it to the gym the rest of the week.

I made it to the gym last night and it felt really good. When I was there it felt like I actually missed it. It will be good to keep going this week. I have been studying for a certification for my job and it seems that time just flies when I start studying that all of a sudden it is 1:00 in the morning. I decided to try taking a break and going to the gym last night and it actually worked out better. I was able to come back and have more concentration for the next hour.

I can see that working out does great things for me, I just need to keep that in mind when I try to talk myself out of going.

Hello again

Hello all,
It has been a long time since I have posted on here. I have kind of lost my ways and I need to get back into it again. I figure that a good way to push myself into getting into shape is by entering a "try a tri" It is dedicated for the first time triathalete. I am excited to train for it. I will post my training and efforts on here to keep myself honest.
