HEy DariQueen~

Thanks for the Compliment;)
It all started with couple us girls here on the forum trying to do Water daily Challenge. And I Just wanna make sure I keep it going. WATER is Important:D
Glasd to hear you drink that much...Keep it up. :D

Hey Dariqueen thanks for visiting my diary. 6lbs is 6lbs - better off than on. My theory is that we the first place we lose weight tends to be the last place we put it on, and the last place we lose it is the 1st place we put it on. Thats true in my case anyhow. You're doing great.

Thanks L-Jay! Yeah, I am happy with my 6 lbs...it's motivation to keep going!

I need a digital scale. Mine is analog, and the lines are so close together that it looks like I lost a pound over night, when I could have only lost 1/2 or 1/4 pound. I'm going out of town on Friday, I hope to find one at wal-mart.

I'm going for a long walk this morning; pushing my baby up the hills. I'm going to walk until I'm too tired to go any further. I was going to walk to the golf club where my sister is working today...it's got one of the biggest hills in town, good for the butt. But a friend just told me there was a bear in her yard last night, and since the road to the club goes by the bush, I've changed my mind! I'll drive there later for lunch instead:D

I have to watch for bears too...particularly as we get closer to autumn and they really start packing it on. They've been known to break into homes for food.

Good for you for kicking the soda addiction!!! That can be a hard habit to break!:)

Hi Dariqueen!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! Congratulations on the new baby and the 6 lb weight loss! You are doing great! I have never had to consider a bear when thinking of going for a walk - that's a new one!! :D

Awesome day today! I made a healthy chili that turned out delicious:) My calories up to supper added up to only 1,200. I treated myself to dessert, but HOLY COW! I didn't realize how many calories was in it until after. I wish they sold low-fat ice cream in this town:mad:

The kids and I went for 2 walks today, and they are both asleep, so I'm going to sneak in an exercise video before bed!

yikes!. Ive had ice cream but its usually more of a taste than a bowl hehe.
Im not so much of an addict that i would buy diet ice cream though.
Chocolate maybe .... *G*

I just wanted something...I'm going to leave the ice cream cake for my daughter, and buy myself some cookies. I could have limited myself to one today, I'm feeling that good!

I remember reading on someone's diary (can't remember who:eek: ), about good food tasting better. Well, yesterday, something I used to love tasted awful! I went up to the golf club to visit my sister who was working (I go there a lot:D ), and stayed for lunch. I had homemade chicken noodle soup (yum!), and my daughter wanted cheese bites. For those who don't know, they are deep fried cheddar bits. Used to love them. I decided to splurge and have ONE. I took one bite and almost gagged. I couldn't taste anything but the grease. And I know it wasn't the deep fryer, because my sis had just changed the oil, so it was fresh.

Woo hoo! No more being tempted by chicken fingers, cheese bites, or fries!

I agree.....long before I started my diet I was losing my taste for fried stuff. McDonalds food especially makes me sick because I feel like my mouth is full of grease---blech! Oh and I used to love Pringles but now all I taste is the fat.

Keep up the good work!

That's fantastic! My hope is that the next time I try to treat myself to McDonalds, or some fast food, that I wont like it nearly as much too. It's just not worth it!
:)

I totally know what you mean about food tasting funky after you've been away from it. I also had an experience with the cheese bites and tasted the grease. Ack! Now I am hoping that cheesecake and fast food will start tasting funky to me so I break my cravings. haha I have noticed I don't like McD's anymore, and don't like fried chicken bites as much, or french fries. That's a blessing, but I still love burritos and an occasional burger. ahhh!

Have a great day!

I feel the same way about fried foods - I think it's the first thing that I lost the taste for. My husband ordered one of those fried onion blooms and I didn't even need to taste it, I could smell the grease - nasty.

DariQueen,

Congrats on losing the desire for fried cheese! I am even more impressed though with your 2 walks and exercise video all in one day!! WAY TO DO!!! All Hail the DariQueen!!! :D

hehe most greasy things are one my yuk list now - my only vice it seems now is fries. Luckily i can usually fit them in with my calories.

Even better day today! It was raining, so we decided to go out of town today instead of tomorrow. Usually car rides for me are the worst, drinking pop and eating chips, chocolate, etc. Then we have lunch at McDonald's, and more junk for the ride home.

Well, today I had breakfast before I left, so I took no munchies, and had a diet pop instead of regular. At McDonald's, I had the chicken fajita and only ate one (I even forced myself to eat the veggies inside!), and an apple for dessert.

Then for the way home, I bought a loaf of "ancient grain" bread, never heard of it before, low-fat turkey breast, and the fake no-calorie butter spray, and made myself a sandwich. It was sooooo delicious!

I also treated myself to 2 sets of dumbbells, an exercise mat, a pedometer, and an MP3 player for my walks!

On a lower note, I splurged and bought a new, digital scale; the Weight Watchers one. I weighed myself on it when I got home, and it turns out my other scale is weighing me about a pound light. So I'm going to have to scrap my first week of the 6-week challenge and start fresh on Monday. So Kaitie, you win the first challenge, I will post my pic on Monday!
