Hi everyone,
Have just arrived back from the interview, and I'm not sure how I went. I think I did just fine on the accounting questions and answered these without any problems, but stumbled on the biblical questions and couldn't answer all of these so I'm not sure what they will do. They said they will ring this afternoon to let me know how I went.
Still no movement on the scales this morning, so I have taken drastic measures....NO SALT, not even a tiny sprinkle. I have also stopped taking my echinacea and the other vitamins that I hadn't checked and I'm really hoping that this will help. I am sure I am still losing as the trousers I bought for last weeks interview are much looser this week.
Mumbine, good to hear that you didn't have a full blown binge. Well Done. I kept a list of all the things that I had had a really bad craving for, so I could eat it once I finished the program. It seemed to help get over the cravings a little bit as it reminded me that I would again be able to eat these things, and the better I stuck to the program, the sooner I would be able to eat them again. When I finished, I only ate a few of the things on my list as I really didn't enjoy them that much.
Miss Kath , good to hear from you. My "Life After" plan says that you should never have carbs for breakfast. Does yours let you have carbs for breakfast? While I was off and doing well, I would have a protein shake (made with soy milk) and a soy yoghurt for breakfat every day, and if you feel like a treat, Woolies now sell "Atkins" bars,no carb chocolate etc. Good for not upsetting the blood sugars.
Jasmine, when I did the program last time, I got half way through and really felt that I needed to do something so I joined "Curves" gym. I didn't have any problems with extra hunger and the first week the weight slowed down a little (I think due to maybe building a little muscle), but after that it stayed the same (about 2kg per week). The consultants seem to worry about you getting extra hungry and breaking, so you need to decide if you think you'll get hungry, or just give it a try and see how you go.
L-Jay, bummer about being up another 1/2kg. I'm sure it will be gone again before you know it.
beebee, I agree, I always space my food throughout the day (at 2.5 hour intervals) so I never have too long to wait till the next thing, and then after I have my dinner I have my "dessert" of my 5 pieces of chewing gum and then I drink my whole litre of diet sprite. I then feel quite bloated and it keeps me satisfied till bed time. Once I go to bed, I know that I can eat breakfast as soon as I wake up again. You're having excellent weight loss. Keep up the good work!!
fornight, I think that is one of the great things about this. Your skin glows, and I think people notice that even before they start to notice the weight loss. People were always telling me how well I looked. I think the water flushes all the rubbish out of your system.
the old me, excellent advise. What a good way to look at it. 1 treat or 21 Cohens meals. I know which I would choose. Your doing great, those "days without deviation" are ticking along nicely.
reb, I have before and after photos, but I don't know how to post them. I'll see if my hubby will give me a hand and if I can I'll post them. You must be a bit disappointes to lose 3 of your crackers, but I totally agree, the re-feed is THE most important part of this program.
Thanks so much to you all for your good wishes re:the interview. All I can do now is wait, but I'm not feeling too positive any more. Will let you know as soon as I hear something.
Have a great day everyone.
Talk to you all soon.
