Hi from London town!
Dear all you wonderful Cohenettes!
Well I am up to Day 7 on the refeed and thank goodness have not put on weight!

Bizarrely I appear to have lost weight, about .5kg! How is that possible? To eat more food and lose weight! Strange!
The refeed has been fine, if a little complicated. I keep realising I have more food to eat. Loving the pineapple though, this morning I had french toast made with an egg, cinnamon, sweetener and a bit of water instead of milk, fried in olive oil spray and served with grilled pineapple! Yum!
Don't know how I am going to get through 3 pieces of bread on Monday though!
I managed to get through a bbq today, hard though, just ate prawns and salad. However I did eat a bite of sponge cake, then threw the rest in the bin! Managed to resist a table groaning with goodies, my friend Cath had her 30th and she kind of had a kids party theme. Fairy cakes, choccie bikkies, pavlova, oh my gosh!! And there were chips and sausages and bread and then she gave us a party bag as we left! With chocolate and other lollies! I have thrown it up on the highest shelf in the pantry for after refeed!
However going there after a big brekkie made it easier, I was not starving!
I agree with people that the hardest thing about Cohens is the social thing, I have had to literally avoid social situations so I don't deviate, I think that the people who came up with this diet must have been geeks who never go out and have no friends!!! It really requires a lot of sacrifice! Especially for a young single girl who loves entertaining and going out to eat with friends!!!
Juzzy - Well done on joining this program, it really is effective! You just have to follow it 100%. Some tips for you.... I found that shopping for food once a week and then doing all my weighing when i get it home and putting everything in the freezer really helps, that way you are making life easier for yourself. And it is best not to be in the supermarket every few days. Avoiding temptation is my other tip, I know it is hard but you are going have to be a bit of a hermit and saying 'no' more to things. Come up with alternative ways of meeting up with friends, coffees and stuff, it can work, and it is worth it. I also found this forum helpful, reading the posts everyday really helped keep me on track. All the best! Let me know how you go!
Lizzi - Like your planning! Sounds very organised! It does really help to visualise the future, in detail!! I found that really motivating, and once you realise how much longer it is going to take if you stuff up it really motivates you!
Old Me - I know what you mean about a small mistake making you feel like you may as well go crazy. But the thing is, you can minimise the damage! One mouthful of cake is so much less worse than five pieces! And just focus on one day at a time, you have control over the future, not the past, so just work on the day you have in front of you.
Carissa - Know what you mean about bbqs! THe snags today smelt soo good! But just think of how many other situations you have already dealt with well, like the bacon and eggs! You keep doing that more often than not and you will get there!
Ridiculous - Well done on reaching a size 14, must be nice to have people noticing your loss.
ICIW - Thanks for staying on the forum and sending motivational messages. Can you send me the link for the 'post cohens' thread? Can't remember what page it is on! THink it will be really important to keep on one of these forums to keep me motivated. I don't want to regain the weight and have to diet ever again!
Dilfizzle - Good luck ! I find having fruit and bikkies between meals really helped with hunger, and also drinking lots of water
Netski - Well done on sticking with it, sorry you are having a hard week, sometimes it is just like that
Tam - Be patient, the weight will come off, try to resist the temptation to weigh yourself all the time, it messes with your motivation, trust in the program to work. Just keep dreaming of that skinny wedding dress!
MitMary - Glad you are sleeping better, loved the sign on the fridge, that saying really kept me motivated!
Ready to lose - Oh my gosh! Chicken parmagiana! I love that meal at the pub, with lots of yummy hot chips! I have just started drooling! Well done on your loss so far, and your willpower!
Tania - First week is hard, I was so tired, just keep it up. It does get better. BTW, laughed at your story about cheese and bacon roll on the dash, and just eating the bacon!! I love those things....I used to work at Brumby's and ate loads of them - much to the detriment of my waistline!
And the rest of you, how are you doing? Myshy, Lisa - how are you all?
Hope you all have a great week. Only one week for me and I will be done with my refeed. Yeah! Wish me strength and no weight gain!!
Thanks for all your support!
Kathy
