Hi there!
Much better sleep last night and all the weight that went on came off again - wheeewwww!!!! But it is a week of no loss at all so that is sad. First time in 42 weeks. It wasn't because I did the wrong thing, so I will just have to hang in there. It will happen - I am determined that it will.
kim_j01: your kgs lost are building up now and you must be looking a little different. Good on you.
gayegel: all the best for the golf lunch - you can get through it. And congrats on the loss, good for you!
yoghurt: I love the Tamar Valley one and have been having that, but someone posted about the low-fat plain Vaahlia and I tried it! Yummo even more - it is not as easy to get in my supermarket because they often only have the flavoured or full-fat ones, but it is definitely worth searching for. So thanks!!
Hi Jam: I love the bracelet idea. And I am so pleased you can buy yourself a heart, that is so affirming for you. Just imagine when you have a full bracelet - wow! And so well done about the big loss. You will be there in no time. So proud of you for getting started and sticking to it. You will get there if you continue as you started.
ridiculous: good to hear from you, even if it is only 0.5kgs. It all adds up, and you will hopefully have a better week next time. Bad luck about the social calender. I would be doing everything I could to take control. Can you choose where you go? Can you ask them specifically for the foods you want (keep it simple) and ask them to weigh for you? Can you drink your way through one of those lunches and eat before or after, and just really keep the conversation going and your guest relaxed so that they have a good time and make them feel comfortable eating what they want? Can you take your own and ask them to plate it for you and offer to pay for the service? These days, there are many people who have health issues, and many restaurants are accommodating. Do your best, I certainly understand that it takes the fun out of going out, I really feel that too. But this is your future, your health, your medicine as the program says!! You and your goals are worth something too.
amber: welcome, and I hope you really go for it because it will be worth it. Yes I know some people who have kept it off and look good. Others who have put on a few 2-4kgs, but have the capacity under this program to get rid of those if they choose to, and in only a week or two. That is the majority. One person I know has put it on. And I heard of another couple who have put it on. All of those did not do the refeed properly, or did not stick to the program well, or did not have all the right blood tests which are used for the refeed. So do the program, have the blood tests, and be super strict in the time before refeed and during refeed. It will stay off. If it has to be managed, it is better to be managing your maintaining than always trying to lose and failing. This works, so I would recommend it.
Welcome Netski. Hope all goes well and you achieve your goals. This is a good place for support.
Have a good day all,
lizzi
