Changing the way i feel

im trying too Ashy..it seems its a lot more harder than i thought....i think ill make it.At least im gonna really try!
I'm so new to this calorie thing!it looks like Amy has a lot of experience on this subject.Im picking up from here and there.
I would like to thank you to for giving me the idea to write down in advance the meals so i dont have to calculate every day.

So!im feeling ok cause today was BIG temtation day 4 me!
Went to the super market for some chicken breasts for tomorow and some snack cause my fridge is emty.SO many goodies around.Plus i was realy hungry.I thought i'd get a small chocolate and looked at the labeling...SHOCKED
my fav choc was 593 cal...i used to eat one every night....
Then i found a small one aroun about 180 cals, i decided not to get it!YES!!!!I could cause my cal.intake today was very low but im feeling a bit miserable about my weight loss and knew that i would feel worse!
I got my cereal bars , and also some cottage cheese and a light philadelphia cream cheese (it was on sale both of them together!)I havent had cottage cheese, i taste a tiny bit and didnt like it....
I didnt get my cereal.Too many calories for that, i think
So then we went to our best friends house , and there was one of my favourite dishes.Mousaka!!!!(eggpland,zucchini,potatos , minced meat in red sause , creamy toping with cheese!!!!)
I didnt even try it!!!i didnt know the calories and just couldnt risk it.
So eveyone was eating this lovely stuff and i had my diet huge yoghurt!
Then out came the icecream , chunky chocolate pieces with nuts...ohhhh god...
Did not have any!!!i thought it would be better to save the cals for 2-3 toast(the ones ive uploaded)with a scool of light cram cheese while watching nip tuck at home , once everyones sleeping!!!
So here goes

Breakfast Coffee 100 cal
Lunch Rice with veggies 350 cal
Snack 2 cereal bars 140 cal
coffee 100 cals
Snack/dinner yoghurt with fruit and cereal 204 cal
Extra something 2-3 toasts with cream cheese 150 cals maximum

TOTAL 1044

Work out 40 minutes st.bike---500 cals

Way under my 1500 im supposed to eat for 1 kg weight loss each week.
I know its bad but im only now begining to learn and at least i dont feel so roten tonight.
 
hi everyone!
I woke up today feeling realy nice.Not bloated at all.
So went for vegie shopping today.
Got cherries , apricots, green beans, zucchinis , pepers , carrots , melons , lettuce ect
Made chicken breats in the oven with potatoes and i put in only 50 ml of olive oil and water.I never used to put water in there but had to cause the oil was little.I got to think of how much olive oil i used to just pour in...its scary!!!!
So i had half a breast half a potatoe and a serving of steamed veggies.
MY husband said that sure theres a difference in the tast cause the oil was little but better anyway,to cut back!So maybe hes getting warmer in the new eating ways:hurray:
 
Jasper!!!! You are AWESOME! Really, you are!!! You resisted temptation at least twice yesterday, and are staying strong.

Such a drastic change in attitude from the previous days. Way to go beautiful!
 
Well done, that's fantastic! And really good that your husband liked your meal with less oil- if he can eat similarly to you it'll make things a lot easier.

I was thinking that different countries have different dishes of course and totaly different ways of eating
Where im from people eat late at night.We're going through such hell as citizens with our economic crisis but you'll se that the taverns and souvlaki shops are always busy...:blush5:
The dishes here are all made with olive oil , even fries are done in olive oil.
(I remember when i was working in New York olive oil was sold in small bottles and over priced.)So going on a diet i must also adjust to the general way of eating but in a healthier way BECAUSE when i do get slim and healthy its going to be very hard to stay that way if i'm going to be eating only 100percent diet food.So im trying now to cook the foods i usually did but healthier.
Also Feta cheese.Its everywhere.The most common and cheapest cheese here.I love it.Before i used to eat it with no limits.Now i understand the calories in it as well as the fat, so im thinking of not eliminating it from our diet all together but instead have a piece of it example 30-40 gr.
TOday was i good example with the chicken breasts in the oven with potatoes.Such less oil,and on my plate just two pieces of potatoe and filling the rest with veggies.
For sure ive learnet my lesson with yummy pasta!so now on ill be so carfull with that.
Meatball (that we love) can be made with half the beef and that can go NO FAT meat and half veggies!The list goes on and on.
I dont want to stress myself out over eating cause knowing me ill just give up again.I'm going to try for the same in helthy versions and NORMAL portions!
I really hope this will work out.Time will show.

I barely made it ...i was exausted and my legs and butt hurted so much
35 min.St.Bike,slower than usual --400cal burn
 
That's exactly the attitude to take. Well done. :) It's what I try to do as well. I don't really have any "national food" (being from Australia, we just steal from everyone else) but I'm always looking for ways to make my food lower calorie or just better for you. Lowering the amount of oil is one such way. (Incidentally, when I fry, I always do it in olive oil, no matter what the recipe calls for. It's supposed to be better for you than a lot of other oils)
 
i wasnt quite sure that its a good attitude,scared about maybe putting on what ive lost.So really happy to see that someone agrees.
I must also be carefull of portions and then i think i ll be ok!
 
and yes its a sure thing that olive oil IS good for you when controlled.I make face masks and scrubs for my face with it!!!
 
That's exactly it. My big weakness is chocolate. Chocolate's really bad for you and really high in calories. So I have a little tiny bit at a time (one or two squares every couple of days). My feeling is, if I can control my portions I can have it regularly- if I can't control my portions then I can't have it at all (or I won't lose weight).

I sometimes use olive oil in my hair (leave it for awhile then wash it out). It's a little bit messy but it seems to make my hair softer.

Woke up and felt thinner so got on the scales again(i think im adicted!!)
89,4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!eighty nine point four,,,,,eighty!!!!!Not ninty anymore!!!!
I just wish that it wont go up again as last week...

Day before yesterday i was 91,4
Today im in the eightys!!!!!Even if it said 89,9 id still be happy!!!!

I ve got another 1,5 kg for reaching my first goal!!!!!Never new that it could happen.I new i'd do it but didnt actualy belive it..i cant explane..it was like a very far dream...God know how ill be reacting when going on to the 70's or even reaching the end at 65!!!i felt like calling everyone and telling them!!(i didnt!)

I love souvlaki with tzatziki(the yoghurt sause with cucumber and lots of garlic!!!)I LOOOOOVVVEEEE it!!!But right now i love me veggies more cause they've put me in in HAPPY LAND TODAY!!!!

So today i was out all day , went to the airport to get my nephew(is that spelling wright?|||)so then we went to my sisters house and had lunch.She had made lunch from the morning so it would be ready so i had no idea about calories.
It was......SPAGETTI...Oh yes...Evil spagetti!
She didnt have a scales so i just guessed...i put Much much less that i usually did.only one spoon of sause (it was made with meat) and a tiny drizzle of grated cheese
I filled up a plate with salad and had that too so i could feel full
So that was around 5ish...I havent had anything else since then
In the morning i had 2 boiled eggs.
Dont think ive gone over...but anyway better be sure its just a few carrots for dinner!!!
No exercise as well
Tomorow is scales day...Dont think i want to do that though......Very scared!
 
forgot to mention.
My mum and uncle were at the airport as well
She was saying that i look much prettier and my skin is great
So i just had to ask my uncle Leslie.He says the truth(in a plain hard way)\
He said "yes you look much better,you ve lost that bloated look you had.YOu know Jess you were getting close to looking like youre sister you started to look really ugly...."
I have 2 sisters.One is thin and the other is VERY VERY Big...so even though his words are a bit harsh , i know its the truth!
 
Wow. He is very blunt! But like you said he isn't putting a spin on what he thinks.

Great job managing the spaghetti situation. I think you handled it quite well!
