Changing the way i feel

im the opposite of you...i know its bad but mostly im doing it to look good, fit in clothes , be vain!!!:)) them comes healthy ect...You're doing it for the right reassons good for you!i used to think that girls complaining about loosing 5-10 kg are just whining -cause i have so much to loose- but i ve got to realize that i was so wrong.People complaining about a few kg seem to care about them selves and i hope i do the same!

There's nothing wrong about wanting to look good- I just think it shouldn't be one's only goal when there's health to consider. I have a lot of health problems and so when I weigh more (even just a little bit more in the grand scheme- although I've lost 14kg off the highest I know I've been in the last two years, which isn't "just a little" I don't think) I feel worse health wise- less energy, more aches and pains, less able to think clearly. I know it makes a big difference with more weight- I got really sick when I was at my heaviest, about 100kg, and very rapidly dropped to 60kg (because of my illness- I don't advocate rapid weight loss and the illness was hell to go through), and the difference to my wellbeing was incredible. This is why my new weight loss goal is 60kg, because I felt so damn good then.

I think losing weight is generally a good thing and should be encouraged, though, no matter why you want to do it. Except for those girls who we get on here sometimes "oh no, I'm 180cm tall and 55kg (during the worst bloating of my period). I'm sooooo faaaaat. None of you could be as faaaaat as me". (Those people I want to punch)

Goodmorning!!!!
So i weighed myself officialy today being Monday

90,6
ok its not exactly a kg but its something...as i went on until it stoped at 90,6 i saw for the first time in ages the number 89 popping by!!!So another kg and im saying goodbye to the 90's...Good decade really but bad number on my scales!

Amy im sorry to hear about your health problem. You are determind and have changed so much for good cause!
Im new so havent seen those girls you described yet. That just silly!Especialy here where people really need the change and are trying so hard.

There's something really special about saying goodbye to a decade of kilograms :D I've now started tracking my weight in pounds as well, not only to be able to be comprehensible to the people here, but I get twice as many decades to leave :sifone:

I do mine on Google- I just type, say, "96kg in lb" and Google's calculator should tell you. Where I know the conversions they're spot on.

I weigh in pounds anyway but much prefer the numbers falling quicker than with KGs

5kg loss so far is FAB your doing so well !!

Hey Jasper! My starting weight is 213. Let's race! Just kidding. I don't think I'm up for a race. haha. But I think its cool we are on the same path. Keep up the good work.

For me pounds just make no sense. If someone told me they weighed 145lb (approx what I weigh- 66kg) I'd stuggle not to think 145kg and therefore really quite big (~320lb).

thanks so much for the kind responses!!!Where i live everything is in kilos so i've grow up counting everything like that, i know abroad many countries have pounds. It confuses me but thats ok cause ive got the calculaters!!!

hhhmmm...

Breakfast was (always is) coffee.Nothing else i dont want anything when i wake up
Lunch fresh beans with potatos (cooked in the pot with onions and tomato (my calorie counter said 380 cal. per serving but doesnt say how much a serving is....)-----
then after my late lunch at 4 o clock i had at
7 in the evening a bowl of nestle fitness with light milk and.......
9 o clock Spinach and rice a plate...
I really think i shouldnt of had that/////

After that i cleaned the house for about 2 hours....sat down a few minutes ago...,
I feel like eating again.,.what up with me>>>???im going to have an apple while waching Nip Tuck......then its bedtime.
I sleep late...around about 2-3 Am....
Goodnight to all!

what is nestle fitness? Sounds good. lol. Anyways maybe you need to have more water? I know that sometimes when you are craving food its actually because you need liquids

You are doing so well! I feel the same way, this time is different. I am doing it the right way and I feel unstoppable. I even stopped craving all those old high calorie meals! I am totally fine with the food now I just have trouble with portion-sizing (mostly the sweets - fruits, etc). We are so close in weight; you are almost exactly where I was 2 weeks ago! It's gotta be hard having to cook for everyone. I am a nanny for 5 kids who loveeee to eat the stuff I wish I could so it becomes very hard to prepare all this yummy food for them and then sit there with my fish and salad lol. Just stay strong! And if you ever feel unmotivated just visit this site - it's definitely what has been getting me through it. I've never done this well or gone so long. Keep up the good work!!

Jasper,

I was reading through your diary, your first post and a few here and there.

You should be proud and happy! It doesn't matter if people (Mum and uncle) didn't notice, nor say anything (but about the hair). YOU know you've lost weight! And we know!

You inspire me. There are so many of you around here, very inspiring people!!!

Congratulation for losing the weight you've already lost (pounds or kilograms :biggrinjester: )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need a tenth of your strength! Cooking for other people can't be easy! I only "cook" for myself and husband, but you can't really call what I do "cooking".

Nestle fitness is cereal, and in Greece were i live it is promoted by one of the best fitness instuctor we have , so it sells like mad but ive recently read some articles that its NOT diet as promoted, instead it has sugars and fats in....Dont know what to belive...Dont they sell this in Uk and Us?

Most things have sugars and fats in them- nutritionally this is ok, but it doesn't look like it'd be very filling. It's low fat (1%) and moderately low sugar (4%), but the serving size is tiny (30g). With something like that I'd probably want to eat much more than that serving size (more like 60 or 90g, heh), thus bringing the calories up to 210 or 315 rather than 105 (not including milk, or anything else to have with/ in/ on it). I seriously recommend porridge. This "fitness" stuff doesn't look special.

Yes, most vegetables can be steamed. I actually cook from frozen, but I add a little bit of water to the bottom of a container, add the beans, cover the container, and microwave (3 min on a 900w microwave from frozen).

Re hours- 12AM is the beginning of the day, so if you're up late on Tuesday night and it's 11:59, when it switches over to 12 it becomes 12AM and it's then Wednesday. 12PM is the middle of the day.

thanks amy!
Well im not going to buy the cereal again. Its nearly finished.

Plus i remebered that my mum told me when i was a baby i was alergic to milk. She said that doctor told her my body couldnt process the fat of the milk , thats why i was SOOOOO overweight as a baby...it made me think maybe i still have a thing with milk and dairy products????Not good....

Definitely worth checking out- lactose intolerance is a serious business. Apparently substitutes have improved a lot in recent years though.

Yes, I don't know how you do it, but kudos!! I can't stand commercials with stuff that looks good on it. It would be quite challenging in person. Can you share how you manage? What do you say to yourself?
