Changing the way i feel

i think a made a mistake yesterday cause i went back on again and i was 91,2 not 92...Didnt go on today..its going to be once a week every monday or tuesday ill see.
Yesterday no workout at all with my baby been sick.i just finished the 20 min.zumba.Tryed to start a new dvd i just got , after that with some power yoga but as soon as i started my husband called out wanted something, i got really mad and didnt continue.i hate it when i start doing something and then someone interups.So i m still a bit cranky this moment,
In the afternoon i made some chicken but that also just tasted horrible so i had only some salad,,whats going on these days and my food is turning out really bad????My husband said it was fine and ate it....Anyway ...im going to have a shower ,i got really sweaty with the workout , but feel i did nothing today.
Maybe i should jump on the bike for half an hour...
I really need to loose a kg this week...

Good news is that a pair of capri pants that didnt fit last year fits!YES!!!
i tryied it o this morning , the zip goes up and the button closes, still a bit tight so ill wait till i wear it in public!

Butterfly ill not stop, its really fun to do and i see im getting better at the moves the more i do!
 
Can someone please tell me how do we know how many calories we should eat to LOOSE weight?and also please tell me, when you are calorie counting do you go around all day whith the little book in hand?How can you know how many calories are in something home made lets say chicken and potatoes in the oven?

i think i am consumin far less calories and that will make my weight loss take even longer.Please hepl me out on this
 
If you sign up for a calorie counting site like fitday or in my case calorie king Australia some members use an app on their phone which makes it easier to track what your eating because these types of sites have most of the common foods already in their database if you choose one that matches where you live. eg the US sites don't have the brands I need in Australia but the Australian site does.

for fresh food you cook yourself you need to have a good set of digital kitchen scales so you can weigh your food to be able to get an accurate count.

you will also find BMR calculators on those sites. Basing calorie intake of BMR is ok to start with but it is only an estimate and usually need to be adjusted to suit you as an individual.

I find this site to be the easiest to show people what they need to do with BMR calculators: (aim to lose no more than 2% of your body weight per week, and not eating under 1200 calories per day)

And yes, for calorie counting I try to weigh everything- if I can't I overestimate what I think it is- write it down, and enter it on my calorie counting program ASAP.
 
hey guys thanks so much for replying!Loved the video too!It seems really hard to actually count my everyday food cause i cook for my family and have a portion of whatever i make.I do count everything else i eat , exept my main meal....I checked out some calorie counting sites from my country but cant seem to find something for my phone, ill keep searchig!

So yesterday i tryed on some of my dresses i had from 3 years ago that fitted , tryed them on and took pics...so very dissapointed to see that NONE fitted.Well a skirt did mut i bought that last summer...
\The one tha made me sad the most was my Nearly Wedding dress.I had it made in 2008 cause we had planed to get married on a greek island just our best friends and us!it was a lovely period then...i was so happy generally!I went on a diet and also had taken some natural diet suppliment i had my 2nd dress fitting and it was actually BIG so my dressmaker hade to make it smaller!!!i was then 84 kg.Stil a lot but really i felt great.i even was going to the beach in a bikini!!!Then i got pregnant before the marriage and cancelled it cause i felt bad with nausea ect..So the dress stayed in my cuboard from then.It does not fit at all i mean the zip doesnt come close to closing...
I ll upload the photos later on and hopefully when im back down to a normal weight i will feel great again!!!
Also this morning i realize that the weight i am now 91,4 (200 gr.up or down) is the weight i was last summer after dieting and i could get past it.It seems i stick there, as well as now...Wonder why?i eally need to fight this guys im not going to be dissapointed again in myself

The only thing that springs immediately to mind as an easy one to calorie count for a group is a meat-and-three veg sort of meal. If you (say) have steak plus a few different serves of vegetables, you should be able to weigh your piece of meat (make sure you get that one), weigh the vegetables and take a portion (say you have a family of 4, a quarter), record the weight of each of the meat and vegetables, and then take the amount of oil/ cooking stuff you've used and divide it to the size of the portion you've taken (similar with sauces, which should be reasonably consistent). As I said in my video, cooking for others is somewhere where I'm not sure what I'm doing with regards to my calorie counting.
 
Your pics look fab im about the same weight and my stomach does not look anywhere near as good as yours!!!
But you have things to aim for the fab wedding dress being the one i would be aiming for its stunning

Well my husband is not going to eat salads and diet stuff for sure.So cooking everyday is something i have to do...and its soooo hard not to stuff my face as usual, and just be carefull on my portions! ve also just stoped with all the sweets so my baby isnt having any either and that wonderfull.Before when he saw me eat he would also want , so now that there arent any in the house my babys benefiting aswell
Ahhh....my wedding dress...
As i said lovely period in my life , ok the marriage didnt happen cause of my pregnancy but still i have lovely memories.I had down payed a small hotel-room to let on the island Sifnos , i had found the church and spoken with the priest , and my dress was made kind of plain cause i had the fantasy of everything been really natural and comfortable.I didnt even want to wear shoes , but finally i bought a pair cause i fell in love with them.
So getting married in this fantastic place next ot the sea and then evetyone going to this sea shore taverna for sea food and salads....

butterfly i checked out your profile but didnt see any pics.
I saw picture of people about the same weight of mine and there are huge differences, its just different body types.My Big problep is my back side and my sides.Lots of fat there!!!
I havent worked out from tuesday , and feeling guilty , but there is so much housework around i cant bring myself to do any exercise after cause im already tired.Try to get on the bik this afternoon.Monday is scale day so hope i have lost a kg...im so craving Eclers.........
 
Could you try low calorie recipes and sneak some low calorie food into his diet without him knowing? I use recipe websites and I swear I eat better now than I did before I started calorie counting. Try and search under a calorie range you want to eat in, or and search for low kilojoule recipes. (There's 4.2 kilojoules to a calorie) I honestly think you'd be doing him a favour, even if he doesn't want to eat "diet food" (no offense intended, but that sounds like an utterly obnoxious attitude to me!).

Its not that he sayed NO to diet food its that he will have a healthy lunch and then complain that hes hungry and wants to eat again so i find myself cooking twice....
The thing is he doesnt really like meat, that good neither do i , but he LOVES bread and oily food...he could loose some weught as well mostly for health and not appearance.
He loves his lolipops at night and cheese tosts and chips....I dont buy them any more and at nigh he opens the fridge and cupboars searching for food and moaning!!!!
 
I honestly think that if he's not happy with what you make him he should either suck it up or make something himself! (that's what my mum used to do with my dad- she'd serve him a healthy, portion controlled, nutritionally balanced meal, and not allow him to take anything reserved for leftovers. He'd then go and eat a loaf of bread most nights, which is bad- but I agree with my mum, don't enable the behaviour)
 
Im still scared of myself to honest.I mean im still thinking AM I GOING TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?sometimes i feel im going to give up, then o feel strong again.He has seen me dieting so many times and then giving up...so i want to see that i am actually doing this before making a fool again of my self.LAst time i tried dieting a usued to tell him "you re eating at this time of night?Stop it its stupid , bad and ugly." then i stoped dieting and eas doing that myself.....so i really need to change myself first.I think its a good way to start eating healthy as a family , is low calorie recepies....i m going to give that a try!
 
So tommorow will be the end of my 5th week on my new eating/living!
Started 96kg and today i am 91,2 nearly 5 kg lost.

Don't worry about what others think- you know you're doing really well. (Perhaps post progress photos here? I do mine without my head so I can't be identified as easily. I've received nothing but compliments in my before/ after thread)
 
didnt know you had a before after posting..I check it out and yes you re doing great,To he honest i like the way you look now.Wish i get to that point!!!

I have a post in before after but even with the little loss i can see any difference.I ll update even though...Thanks again for your advice!!!
 
Thanks :) I'm doing it for health reasons- I think I'll be healthier when I get down to 60kg (I'm willing to adjust that figure when I get within 3-4 kilos and I think I'm healthier, or if I get down and think I have more to lose. It's all relative). It's actually never been about appearance for me (although I'm starting to feel good about myself and so get a little bit vain :D )

Definitely update- I've never seen any negative feedback there (other than with very skinny girls being told to stop losing weight). I bet others can see a difference at 5kg, even if you can't. I was surprised when people saw a difference in me, even when I couldn't see one in myself.
