Well, the IF investigation was an interesting experience, I guess, but if it was messing with your own equilibrium, let alone blood pressure, I'm glad you're setting it to one side.
I like the bird-watching talk - I've wondered often if the changes I see in what birds are in an area are "major" changes, or just cyclical, over decades. For instance, it's a long time since I've seen quail - but maybe when I was seeing them they were just a passing flock, not a settled population at all.
As for flying dinosaurs, LaMa, did you see this?

Pterosaurs weren't real dinosaurs of course but they are amazing. Takes a good bit of luck for bones so light and fragile to remain intact long enough for fossilization, too!
 
Sorry to hear about the BP, it is so annoying to have to deal with that. I think you should just try to be balanced, eat when hungry, keep doing what you are doing really, and lots of positive affirmations. I really do think they work. Sorry to hear this Cate.

Over the years I have had moments when I have been obsessive over dieting & I could see that I was heading that way again. It was foolish to ignore both my cardio & my GP.
I am back to just eating 3 meals a day, trying to stay under 1430 cals, going for a walk each day & just trying to be as healthy as I can & live my life with balance.
There are so many different (& duplicate) threads in the forum at the moment & so much spam that I am spending too much time just double-checking. I may not post as often or as much for a while.

Posting and reading here - let alone checking for spam and keeping things on the rails! - is a big commitment - thank you very much. But we need you to look after yourself, so don't worry about big posts or reading everyone every day - just let us know when it suits you that you're still ticking along! :)

Hi Cate! Sorry about all the spam and having to check for duplicate posts. I really agree - thanks so much for doing all that!!! I am glad you are really listening to your body and doctors and not stressing over food. It's so hard because stress makes it so we don't lose! Happiness is the best cure for everything, I think!
 
Your policing the spam is much appreciated, as are your posts of support and help.

However your well being is more important, do what you need to do to feel good. I know you will.
 
Thanks, folks. I'm ok but was just getting a bit overwhelmed by the number of posts. You do have to check every single new post as the spammers can be quite sneaky. I hate spam & love getting rid of it. Tru is a busier person than I am so I want to do my fair share. It's the answering everyone that I will cut down on.

My day has been a bit of a crazy mixed-up day, but mostly very good. We had the GK's for the day & asked their older brother along too. We took them to a zoo & then lunch in town & visited our BIL who was not good today. I'm glad we went though and he told me that he really does get a lift when we do.
On the drive home I got 2 messages purporting to be from the bank, saying there had been unusual activity. I rang them when I got home & my credit card has been hacked. They blocked the transactions as they looked suspicious & temporarily blocked my card & after the call they have now cancelled my card & are sending me another one. That shook me up somewhat. I bought tickets earlier this week to a live show & had to provide my cc number & the security code on the back & I had not done that for years. I usually use paypal. I have contacted the woman who's show it is to let her know.
It was a lovely day with the kids. The meercats and the marmosets were the highlight & we all got to pat a baby Tasmanian Devil. SO cute!
 
Cate I am sorry you were hacked but glad the bank were on the ball. It's a more common occurrence now . Delighted you had a fantastic day.
I barely manage to keep up with the few diaries I do follow so hats off to you and Tru for reading every single message.
 
I get a message on my phone whenever my credit card (number) is used and I hope that´ll help if anything does go wrong. I still feel uncomfortable using it though. The rest of your day sounds lovely!
 
I just looked up what the Tasmanian Devil looks like again. They are so darling! Sounds like a really nice outing with the grand kids. Sorry about the credit card - that's so stressful when that happens. I wish I could help out some with the forum - that must be so much work reading every single post! Do you know if there is a low carb group on the site? I remember someone mentioning one, but I can't find it.

Hi, Petal & thank you xo. Credit card fraud is more common now, that's for sure. Having the bank being on the ball is a relief. They rang me once when we were on a trip to make sure it was me using my card. I will use my credit card less & less I think.

Hi, Marsia. Tassie Devils are really interesting animals. The little one we patted was well attached to our guides finger!
There isn't a low carb group in the forum as far as I can see. Under Weight-loss Programs, there is one sticky (which had to be closed as it attracted a crazy amount of spam) & on that 1st page only 2 threads(1 is Slimming World) & the rest are deleted spam, Page 2 is all spam, page 3 is all spam.

Yesterday was a really nice day. It is much more enjoyable being out and about with the grandkids, rather than just hanging about at home with them. Next week will be different as we will be playing golf during the day & then they are arriving late afternoon & staying the night & then we'll take them home to their mothers on Sunday morning.
Today I think I'll do some more gardening. I transplanted lots of ferns the other day from our bush to a double bank above our house. Now I'll mulch them.
 
And are you out mulching right now, or in having lunch? :) Whichever it is, have a lovely time doing it!
I love the sound of both your out-and-out (with grandkids and Tasmanian Devil) and the forthcoming overnight stay - are they little enough for bedtime stories? Or maybe it'll be board games together?

Hi Cate! Thanks for that about the low carb forum. Hope you have a good time gardening! I am getting ready to mulch for winter, too. Have immense piles of redwood duff in piles just waiting! Happy Sunday!
