Thank you Marsia. You really are very sweet. The woman who messaged me is the one who rang me all those years ago & asked me if I was interested in having lessons. She works in the aged care home my Mum was in. I like her & her partner & I miss her & her friend, K, who is probably the nicest of all of them. We'll go out to lunch I think. I don't think she knows I'm coming back.
Thanks, LaMa. Fragrance-free friends would be lovely, at least while they are with me. I don't think K wears perfume & M is considerate. Another friend who took lessons at the same time as me, but didn't persist with golf, might want to come too. I haven't seen her for a while either. I used to work with her & she was a teacher's aide at our son's primary school. She's lovely.
G is quite a bit better this morning & not as grumpy. I got some cold and flu pills into him last night & some soup & have been pushing the fluids onto him & lots of fruit when he wouldn't eat anything else. He ate breakfast this morning (avocado & egg on toast).
A guy punched our grandson, A, in the eye the other night at a nightclub. A didn't know him at all & was just walking past him. He later punched someone else & has been barred. I hated seeing him with a black eye. I asked him if he knew the guy's name & he gave it to me. He asked, "Are you going to stalk him, Nan?" He then told me that he decided not to tell his friends on the night who punched him as he feared any reprisals & we discussed that more violence never solves violence. I had a look on FB last night & think I worked out who he is. There were no obvious red flags.
A friend has moved in with A so that will help with our son's mortgage & be company for A. He's a mutual friend of our son & GS. It will be better for all. I hope A gets his drivers licence next week. I have to take him in again tonight. I don't much like driving at night, especially with so many cars leaving their lights on full beam.
