Cate's Diary

It has settled down a tad, M2M. We hit off early today & got in before it got too hot.
I can see now what a difference getting around in a cart makes, Marsia.
I played much better today & was runner up in the ladies. I also was the closest to the pin on one of the holes. I hit it to within about 2 feet. My shot was better than anyone including all of the men (about 100 players). Happy with that.
Four whole rounds of golf in one week is huge for me. We are back home again & don't have to be anywhere until tomorrow night, for the presentation dinner. I have loved it & it has rekindled my love of golf.

I had another very solid sleep last night & didn't get up once. It really is doing me so much good having all that exercise. I just ordered a new pair of golf shoes for each of us. $160 in the local golf store, $55.61 online. Now to buy some nice clothing......
Have a lazy day planned & presentation dinner tonight.

Wow, so happy to hear it went so well! New shoes are always wonderful, and really happy you got your skills back so fast!!!

Thanks, Marsia. I'm not sure that I had skills to get back, but that's the joy of golf. It's great to have that handicap. I did get a couple of prizes last night for Friday's game. I was runner-up in the women's comp & got a nearest the pin & a mention for how close it was.
Exercise really is good stuff. Enjoy your recovery day!
Thanks, LaMa. Exercise is the best medicine. I really do have the golfing bug back again!

We had a ball last night at the presentation dinner. The meal was sensational, there was a great rock and roll band & we danced & danced the night away. Happily tired this morning.

Sounds like overall the week was well worth being stressed beforehand!

Sounds lovely! I get so happy picturing you dancing the night away with a big smile on your face. So, so happy you are enjoying golf again! I feel similarly about my art. It is more representational, so not "in" and I really don't care - it makes me happy, so no need to compare myself to how other people do it!

You are sweet, Marsia.

That's what we have to learn to do.
I had another very solid nights sleep, but still feel fairly tired. That was a big week!

You did a lot, none of it routine, and didn´t get a ton of undisturbed sleep to digest it all. I say it´s normal to need a couple of days to recover.

You're both right, Marsia & LaMa. I am obviously still very tired as I forgot to post in my diary this morning.
I also think I am getting something. A lot of the interstate golfing women had the flu & G has it. I think I'm getting it too. I hope not!

I think I may be putting up a good fight & have been taking echinacea for a week (as soon as I heard people were getting it), but poor G is SO sick. I have slept in another room for the last couple of nights, but neither of us is getting much sleep. He coughs & coughs & has been fighting a fever. Hopefully, it will run its course. He's dozing now. Lots of fluid, lots of rest, lots of Paracetamol, honey & hot lemon drinks at night, fruit & veg & I'm giving him some echinacea. Poor thing. I just feel tired & a little headachy.

Oh, that's no fair. He sounds miserable. Hope you can get some sleep and keep this at bay! Sending lots of citrus and honey vibes your way!!
