Weight gain can really pizz you off. Maybe you have been over estimating calories. Just start over and keep going.Hi, folks & thanks for your visits. I'm not good company today I'm afraid. I'm feeling very sorry for myself. I crept onto the scales this morning, expecting a 1 kg drop & I have gained yet another kilo. That is now 5 kg since we got back from Sri Lanka in May & the highest weight I have been since 2007!![]()

Now, I have not been eating any more or drinking anymore, but this happened once before. The diet I went on back in early 2007 was very restrictive & they recommended if you start to regain weight to go back to the recommended foods on the initial program until you get it back in check.
So, that is what I'm doing, as of now.
Natural yoghurt, blueberries & stewed rhubarb for breakfast (no starchy carbs).
It is not always easy to pick yourself up & be positive, but I will try!
Lamb pics to follow. They are staying well away from us for now.
Golf club- much less involved than before- not on committee.
I'm glad xoThat sounds lovely. No sunshine here and I don´t need wood but otherwise I´m planning something very similar.
I'm in a house of non- dieters so yea, it can be bad.I'm glad xo
I really wish I didn't get so f*{ۥn; hungry!
Nice me- seriously though- it is so hard to lose weight when you get so knuckle- gnawing bloody hungry. G hardly ever gets hungry. He can also eat anything & not gain weight. It's not FAIR!!!
Rant over...
Every time I cut carbs my body thinks it's starving no matter how much food I have. I think it must be normal for your appetite to kick up when you switch to low carb. It tends to calm down but the first 3 days or so is just horrid. I've always had a huge appetite and the low carbs made it worse. The diet pills help with all that for me.Being able to have 25% more calories every day is quite a lot... And if you´re dieting and he isn´t it´s even more than that. But if you´re just cutting back on carbs it´s normal to be hungry, no? I think I´m starting to get less hungry now that I consciously eat more fat with my meals (it certainly helps my digestion, ahemhem), but I´ll need a bit more time to be sure.
I'm not really sure why I have gained weight, but I think it just has to be carbs.
Oh I would so love that.....Ah, spring... I love autumn and I'm going for a walk now but Vienna will often go without a single ray of direct sunshine for more than a month this time of yearSometimes more than two.
I'm not searching for anything Em. I have had such a full life xoDo you think G and the farm is enough for you? I sometimes feel like you are searching for something. It might not necessarily be weight loss.
It was very low carb & I now have a low tolerance. I know I can nip it the bud, but it requires a strength I'm struggling to find at the moment. When you lost the weight in 2007 did you also had a low carb diet? Myself - I as well lose the weight better when I eat less carbs. However, after a while when reintroducing them back in the diet, the weight creeps upMaybe you should (as me) just use the good carbs and still leave them in your menu in that way you will not feel that hungry. Also I have found out that rice (as well white), buckwheat and items like these are helping to keep me full longer and does not affect the weight loss that much.
Keeping fingers crossed that while G is away you lose the planned 1 kg!!! Good luck!![]()
I would really struggle with so many days without sunshine! Hope you have a lovely day LaMa xoAh, spring... I love autumn and I'm going for a walk now but Vienna will often go without a single ray of direct sunshine for more than a month this time of yearSometimes more than two.
