Cate's Diary

Thank you LaMa. I had a lovely time. My day had started with a very grumpy husband(unusual) & I almost didn't go anywhere. Long story. After talking to my sister this afternoon I am starting to think it may be medication he's on. I have been thinking he doesn't need it & may ask our doctor soon. His BP was high, but has now gone right down & it may be putting him out of whack.
I bought my fresh veg & fruit from the market & met Fourstring Dave(introduced myself & ended up Facebook "friends", him putting on a selfie of us), listened to his music & loved it, stayed to listen to more, met up with some lovely people & some old friends, didn't hug anyone, so came home without any reactions as it was all outside. I had a lovely day!

That´s what I like to hear! Well, except for the grumpy/manky husband. Maybe he´s just reacting to all the stress you guys have been under these past months?

He's over it & so am I. We would never have lasted this long if we didn't learn to make allowances for bad days/ reactions to stress/cranky days etc. He is a lovely person & I think sometimes we both get out of sorts for whatever reason & luckily it's only occasional that we get out of sorts at the same time.
Today we have partied! this is as close to tipsy posting as you are going to get. I have listened to "stomp rock", danced & caught up with lots of lovely people, then been to a house-warming/baby shower & partied some more & generally had a wonderful day. It's not even 5pm! Sitting back home, sipping on a Merlot & thinking life is pretty damned good.

You´re the best :D I love celebrating during the day/early evening so I can back home and relax a bit before going to sleep at a decent time.

Sounds like you hit a bit of a road bump, but have picked yourself right up and had a great day or two afterwards. Happy to hear. :D

Thanks gals xoxo
Played golf today & had an excellent day. I think I may have played some of my best golf so far, with 42 points & that was with a miss on the last (V will understand.) I won 2nd division by 4 points & had the most points in both divisions. :D The company was great, it was cool, but not windy. I do so love golf!

Sounds like lovely autumn weather, I may not understand golf but I understand being outdoors with great company :)

We were lucky to get a good day as we have had wild thunder storms during the night & it's raining again. I love storms. A thunder clap was so loud that it felt like it shook the house. It was wild!
Got my exercise gear on & I have a plan! :D

I grew up in a house built in the 30s. I remember thunder storms rumbling so bad it literally shook the windows and house so bad you thought something was going to break.

I love thunder storms as well! Lightning fascinates me. We had a crazy storm last July where the lightning flashes were non-stop for what seemed like forever. Might have been twenty minutes, who knows. I just sat on the back porch mesmorized.

Hi Bugdude & Oaks. Our house is really solid & is made from stone, but one thunderclap was a great big BOOM! Apparently it seemed like it was right under everyone's house as G went to work yesterday & they were talking about it. It was an amazing noise & the lightning was spectacular! It only went on for about a minute though. We have a really high window(our house is solar passive) so when we do have lightning during the night it looks great. I find it hard to get to sleep when there's a full moon though!

I blitzed our house yesterday. Instead of hopping on my stationary bike etc I did housework for about 4 hours. Backwards & forwards, backwards & forwards. I can get a good workout walking from one end of our place to the other, over & over. I'm glad it's only single story though. I'm getting stuck into more today. It's raining again, but I didn't plan on being outside. We play golf tomorrow so hopefully it will be sunny again!

Please come clean my house! It wouldn't take long, though you would need to shampoo my carpets from when my mom's dog was over!
I remember being 'camping' in our trailer during a massive thunderstorm. We had one of those massive claps of thunder and I'm definitely a wuss when it comes to lightning storms so it wasn't much fun!

I'm too exhausted to do anyone else's cleaning Mystic, even if you weren't on the other side of the world. I reckon I did another 3 hours minimum. I might just have a "nana nap" before showering & going out to dinner (very unusual for us.) Friends from mainland Australia are over on a caravanning tour & staying in our local town & we're meeting them tonight for dinner at my favourite deli, which is now open for dinners as well as lunch/breakfast. D, our older son & the GK's are coming too.

Great news- our other son, R is now out of the lease of the "cafe" & can move forward with his life. He paid yet another 2 weeks rent today & is done with it. He had to really go begging apparently. I'm so glad it's done. In 2 weeks time G, myself & D are going down to Hobart to blitz his house & bring a heap of stuff back again & try to make his house liveable. He's currently sleeping in the living room as the 2 "spare" bedrooms are full of "stuff". He messaged me yesterday to tell me that he was going there today to hopefully finalise it, he rang me again last night, just for a chat & then he messaged me again today to tell me it was done. He seems to be on a relatively even keel at the moment. Touch wood!

Housework is sometimes one of the best ways to work out. I don't stress about getting a "workout" in if I know I'll be moving around cleaning all day. Sometimes it can be pretty therapeutic too. :) Great news on your son. I hope he's as relieved as you are. :)

Had a lovely night last night. The devil (?) got into us though & we shouted everyone. OUCH! It was a lovely catch-up. My stomach is still making weird & wonderful noises though. I'm not used to eating a big dinner at night any more.
Off to golf today, calling in to see them on our way home & we're letting them shout us lunch tomorrow, before they head home.

That's awesome your son got out of the lease, and that your other son is fixing up his house.
I'm not sure what 'shout' means in the way you use it but sounds good!
