Cate's Diary

Hi, Rob. I think I did need it. Dan T is really good.
It's 4 pm & I have had 225 cals. It has been a real struggle today, I must admit. I'm going to have a plate of mostly veggies, with either a small steak or some ham for dinner. I'm having a diet tonic with ice & lemon now to help fill me up. I have drunk lots of water!

Hope your allergies are better now Cate, you’re so good for supporting the music by buying CD’s. Hope the 500 cal fast day went ok!! Well done for drinking loads of water, I haven’t guzzled it down the last 2 days

Loving the sound of that weekend Cate. the music, the love, friendships...so glad for you to have such a great relationship with your son and his friends. That's just all so lovely :)

Hope your fast day gets a little easier. i don't know how you do it!

My allergies are much better tonight, thanks Kate. A day at home, mostly inside usually does the trick.
Thanks, Liza. It is lovely & special. I found today tough, but I put that down to not eating enough yesterday.
It was lovely, LaMa. Thanks for the hug. :grouphug:

Cate you really had a super weekend and you are very lucky you have such a wonderful family and that your son is so happy to involve you in his life .
we often have guitar and songs in the yard at a bbq but no one professional just my son and my brother . It’s fun though .
Hope that cold stays at bay and you eat lots today . Nice healthy stuff .

Em, I think you would have loved the weekend! I think living with your family when everyone is adult is a very difficult thing, for everyone. G & I love having our own space, after a lifetime of sharing with others.

I sure would have. I love that R promotes local musicians.

I actually loved being at home this time, but I do feel it's better now that I've moved out. I feel like a 'grown-up' again.

Petal- Backyard music with friends and/or family is my idea of happiness. Yours sound lovely too. I don't think I do have a cold. I think it's Autumn allergies. I don't feel like eating anything unhealthy at all, but just am enjoying my healthy meals even more than usual.
LaMa- I did make it through & my hunger yesterday was telling me something :D
Em- It is great that he supports local musicians. They really seem to love the atmosphere too. I thought you did seem to enjoy being home this time, but it is better to feel independent. It's nice that you have them as a backup.

Well. I woke up this morning, not wanting to get out of bed. It was raining lightly & it was meant to be my sponsor day at golf. I just felt lighter so tentatively got on the scales, against my better judgement & I am down 2kg. What a relief! I have been doing 5:2 for almost a month now. I feel settled into it now. I'll stay off the scales until the week after next I think. Every second week should be ok.
I'm not going to golf as it's meant to rain for hours. I'll be playing on Sunday.

Congratulations on that drop!
I don't think I do have a cold. I think it's Autumn allergies.
Same here, but spring. And I do want to eat unhealthy things. But we don't do that anymore; not when allergies are already high.

Well i'm glad you both didn't seem to develop a cold, though i guess allergies can be as bad or worse....at least colds finish after a week!
Really great about the weight drop Cate. Always great to get that encouraging feedback from the scale!

Happy dancing for you Cate what a super loss and well deserved. I think staying off the scales works for you . And how great you don't want to eat unhealthy foods . I'm like LaMa I still do but I don't.
Congratulations and hope you have a nice day and stay dry .

Thank you, Petal. Staying off the scales does keep me on track. My brain works in mysterious ways. I have had a way too lazy day & must amend that tomorrow!

Thanks, Rob. I feel much better now that I have seen a good result on the scales. It had felt very frustrating for the first few weeks.
Thanks, Em. I feel like I am into it now & back on track to getting my weight down to where I want it to be. I hadn't given up, but I was getting down about it. I'm so happy it's starting to work :)

G & I have dentist appointments today. We have a lovely dentist, but there goes lots of money. Fingers & toes crossed we don't need much done, but we both have a broken tooth. :(
We're having Japanese food for lunch. My FD will be tomorrow. I'm getting fuller with much less food now, which is great. I had oats with chia seeds, goji berries, psyllium husks, skim milk, Greek yoghurt & some stewed fruit for breakfast & I am very full.

Well done on the 2kg loss that’s brilliant!! Woop wooo!!!! :):)You must be feeling incredible seeing that loss on the scales! Best of luck with dentist later! I know how expensive it can be!! At least you have a lovely dentist who will put you at ease :)

Thanks, Kate :)
I'm in the waiting room now. At least I never feel nervous at the dentist's.
