Cate's Diary

Cate great to see you are totally relaxed and had a lovely sleep after the golf. Sounds like offering and being there for support with G family is the best way to be.

Love the good restful sleep after lovely days doing nice things. Glad you are doing well Cate and yes so good you can remain strong to offer the support that's needed. I'm sure they do really appreciate that!
I have really enjoyed my lazy day thanks Liza & we got some more rain, which was lovely.
Enjoy your home day with the clean after-rain air.
Thanks, LaMa. It was nice.

I enjoy Sundays, Petal. I try to make them feel different & often have a lazy day. Sunday nights we also have a little chocolate with our fruit platter. I don't have any left so will make sure I buy some very good quality chocolate next time. A little of something delicious is a good thing :)
I made a big fresh fruit salad today. It had fresh honeydew melon, pineapple, white peaches, apricots, strawberries, watermelon & mango. I'm going to have some for breakfast with Greek yoghurt & some almond meal.
I have a busy week this week. Tomorrow I have an ap't with my GP, Tue breast screen, Wed golf & Xmas breakup, Frid cardio. I'll spend Thursday & Sat at home. Sun we head down to see R as he's having a delayed birthday bbq with live music & we're staying the night around the corner from his place.

I'm loving the sound of your breakfast, especially white peaches - what a treat! and with honeydew melon! That's Fruit of the Month, over in the 170s Club! https://weight-loss.fitness.com/threads/club-170s.12254/page-23 (via @petal at post #451 All welcome in the Club, by the way, whether as members, as travelling through down to the 160s or just dropping in to see our decor!)
Fruit is going to figure largely in my Christmas menu, but I think not quite as brilliantly as your glorious fruit salad.
It certainly sounds like a full-on week - all the best for the medical side - and for the celebratory sides as well!

I didn't end up having that fruit salad after all, Amy. I'll have some after dinner. My GP was very happy with my BP readings & said I could drop one of my meds. I said I would wait until I see my cardio on Friday.
I have done lots of gardening & am pleasantly knackered again. It's about 20oC here. A lovely day!

Thanks, Rob. The temp here is half what it is at Tru's place in the shade. 20- 25oC is perfect for me :)
Thanks, LaMa. I hope so too!

Thanks, Liza & Amy. Happy about my day :) Moving to Tassie, Amy was one of the best decisions we ever made!

Happy to hear the BP readings are healthy Cate and yes you are right to wait for the cardio to approve though . Weather sounds really lovely . We are wrapped up in wolly hats here today at 5 deg with a wind chill

Rob & Petal. I am really grateful that we don't get the extreme weather but still experience the seasons. Today's medical ap't is for a boob squash, aka breast screen. Afterwards, G & I are going to attempt some Christmas shopping & then have a Japanese lunch.

Sounds like you're doing well. Good luck with your screening, boob squishing is not fun but necessary! Have fun shopping xx

Oh, I hate boob-squash! But I'm glad the program is out there (for info: in Australia, women over 50 can get a free screening every couple of years - the theory is that early detection greatly increases survival rates). It's not perfect, and there are concerns that the squashing in itself could be bad for the breasts, but still, it's there.

Hi, Misty, LaMa & Amy. The boob squish went well & didn't hurt. Fun & shopping do not belong together. We did buy our 2 sons a Christmas present each & that was a nice surprise. The Japanese restaurant was unexpectedly closed so we had Chinese instead.

I so agree about shopping not being fun anymore . I used to love it when I was younger . Glad the screening went well Cate . I am still waiting on my appointment. What kind of food do you chose in the Chinese ?
