All this and a frosty morning - what a great start to the day! I love those clear, bright winter days, when the air is sharp and clean - just right for being outdoors!

Hi, honey buns xoxoHappy golfing, and aloha from Hawaii! Glad you are getting back into the swing of things, literally!
It was good, but pretty cold. I know it's good for me!All this and a frosty morning - what a great start to the day! I love those clear, bright winter days, when the air is sharp and clean - just right for being outdoors!
Glad to be back home though JackWow Greece and Hawaii - you guys get around, huh. Happy trails!
Another good day, thanks LaMa xoHope you´re enjoying the golf and the bright&sunny weather.
I see Australia got snow, did you get any? We don't think of you getting any winter. It's a beautiful sunny Winter's day here today & I'm about to head out into it & help G get firewood.
We do eat very well & probably spend more on good quality food to eat at home than we do on other things. Eating out is expensive & usually not as good as what we have at home. I like my motto too. I think most of us need reminding to be kind to ourselves. That all sounds wonderful - like a luxury health retreat's menu!
I like your motto very much.
It gets cold here, but rarely snows, thank goodness. 3-12oC is the average during Winter. I am used to being the opposite of most people in the forum re morning/afternoon and Summer/Winter, but I must confess that I really do not like Winter. Getting outside & getting sunshine, even when it's cold is very important for my mental health.I see Australia got snow, did you get any? We don't think of you getting any winter.
Summer is just getting started here.
I appreciate your post on my diary and your advice and encouragement. It helps.
Oh, I know how lucky I am LaMa. If only we could clone a younger version of him & I could send him over. He is also one of the best people I know. Actually probably the best.Your diary is starting to make me rethink singlehood: I need someone to cook me all those delicious things!

Funny: I find snoring bed mates soothing - unless they have sleep apnea.Edit: He does, however, snore these days!
Sounds like the modern version of one of my childhood favorites: the whole family gathered around the wood stove, everyone reading something different.E is on her computer, G is reading the paper/doing the crossword, I am on my laptop & C is watching cartoons. It's ok for a while, but we'll do something today.
I don't like winter much either, I grew up and lived in Florida for a long time. We moved to Utah a couple of years ago for my wife, she is from here. The winter is the hardest part of it; that and the lack of a Gulf of Mexico. However all in all its a nice place to be, I'm happy to be here.It gets cold here, but rarely snows, thank goodness. 3-12oC is the average during Winter. And I appreciate your encouragement & advice, it is good to see folks with the kind of experience you have here!I'm happy to offer you encouragement & advice, based on my life experience. I feel that's something I can do. I am not qualified in nutrition or anything to do with exercise. This is a very supportive place & I am so glad to be a part of it.
