Cate's Diary

That kid is SO cute! I so looked like that measuring my waist this morning, only less cute :D Thanks for sticking around here, never giving up, it really helps me get myself back together after every crash-landing.

Love the pic and the wording!
Soooooo True! I have done that after a week of doing everything right and like.... Ummmm, excuse me - I worked really, really hard! Why are you not cooperating?!! :D

Exciting times indeed Delsid. Finding a safe & supportive place to share your experiences, doubts, successes etc makes you realise that you can make positive changes yourself.
Hi, tete. Although we have kept in touch on MFP it has not been the same. I'm really glad you're back xoxo
LaMa- that is very sweet of you. You support me too! We all have crash landings, but we also learn some more every time. Thank you, sweetie xoxo
I know Stacy. We all do that :D It is cute. Love your new haircut btw xo
Hi, Cory. Isn't it cute? How are you going, sweetie? You haven't updated for a while. Hope the side-effects of the antibiotic have subsided & you are back at Zumba. Take care xoxo

Something is going on with my body at the moment which is very painful. I have inflammation all over. I literally hurt from top to bottom. My calf muscles really hurt. The podiatrist gave me some stretches to do & maybe I am better off not doing them. I also have Asthma & a slightly upset stomach. I'm going to go soak in a salt bath shortly. I did not do my squats this morning as I woke up hardly able to walk. I know it's not serious & will most probably just go away, but I wish I knew what caused it. I might make a doctor's appointment this week as I need to get a flu vax anyway. I have usually had it by now.

We had planned on doing some outside work today, but it looks like raining again. We'll see. I need to try to work out the soreness.
Anyhow, I hope that didn't sound whiny. I feel ok mentally, just in pain physically.
Love to all, xoxo Cate

So sorry to hear you are not feeling too well Cate, sending you some positive energy and hope that you feel better very soon dear.

I didn't know you had a history of Asthma...do you feel a difference in it based on weather?? Is it winter for you now?

Xoxox

Sorry to hear you´re feeling crummy, hope it´s not some kind of rheumatoid crap :( More likely you´re hatching out some kind of virus... Get well soon please!

Thanks tete, CaliGirl & LaMa. You're all very sweet xoxo
I don't usually talk about my Asthma, as I feel like I have it under control. We are coming into Winter & damp weather aggravates it. I do have Arthritis LaMa, but it's Osteo. It's probably the colder, damp weather affecting me. I think that's all it is.
I went outside with G & I raked for an hour while he tidied up some branches with his chainsaw that had fallen down next to our driveway. It was hard work & I got a blister, even wearing gloves! I had massaged some magnesium oil into my aching muscles before I went. I felt I needed to try to work off some of the aches & pains.

Just saw this & had to share- WW cutlery :D

Quick check-in-
Did my 1st FD for this week. G has been out at 8-ball so I have been home alone. There is a packet of GF vege chips in the pantry & they have been talking to me all night & I have resisted!! YAY! What a bloody struggle it has been though!
It's my birthday tomorrow & I feel funny about it this year. G never buys me anything. It's my fault. He hates shopping with a vengeance. We have been together forever & I usually let him off the hook by buying something myself. I have told him that I would really love him to buy me something, but I feel quite sure he won't.I wouldn't mind if he organised D, our son, or his GF to get me something.
I am playing golf tomorrow in the 2nd round of the foursome championships. We are 2 shots behind the leaders. It would be really nice to win, especially on my birthday.
I think I'm feeling a little tired. I often do when I fast. I must admit though, for some reason, this year's BD feels like a let-down. 3years ago we were in Paris. That was heaven!Maybe we should go out tomorrow night.
Enough of the pity party.
Lots of love to anyone reading my diary, xoxo Cate

I think I need your cutlery... I was a bit confused, by the way, by "I wouldn't mind if he organised D, our son, or his GF to get me something" as I thought you meant your husband might get his girlfriend to buy you a present ;) I hope you have a lovely game tomorrow (today) and I wish you the most wonderful happy birthday! All the best for the upcoming year, with plenty of love, health, happiness, good company, fun new experiences, understanding, parties, content slow days, fine wine, great food, light weigh-ins and piece of mind. :grouphug:  :biggrinjester::hurray::grouphug::party::biggrinjester::hurray::grouphug::party::biggrinjester::hurray:

Thank you LaMa. What wonderful wishes! I didn't sleep well during the night & gave myself a big talking to about being happy with what I have. The love of my family is more important than anything in the world. I think I get a lot more emotional (& down) on fast days. I may have to stop doing them I think. My sister says the same. I have such a good life & such a lovely husband & 2 lovely sons. What do I have to feel sorry about? Nothing.
Your post made me feel really good. Thanks, honey, xoxo Cate

Happy Birthday, Cate!!!!! Can't beat LaMa's wishes so just signing my name under what she said :p

Hope you have a lovely day today!!! By the way, I do think it's ok to feel sorry for ourselves from time to time, such is human nature (especially on an empty stomach ha ha) ;) Having said that, I'm sooo happy to hear you're feeling better and see all the amazingness in your life. Enjoy to the full!!!

Lots of birthday love and smash that golf championship ;)

Happy Bday Cate!! Hope you have a wonderful day and a spectacular year! :beating::grouphug::seeya:

Totally agree, no matter how bad the day goes or life gets out of control, I have my hubby and boys here and healthy so everything else can be fixed!

Thank you LaMa, Delsid, tete, CaliGirl & Stacy for your lovely words. It made me feel really special. I love this forum & the friendships we are making. It is a very supportive place. I think the diary section of the forum is the best it has been since I first started here back in 2007. I love that people are getting around other diaries & showing they care, xoxo

My golf was fairly ordinary, but I don't think I have ever laughed so much on the golf course. It was "Happy Gilmore" stuff. My partner hit a ball which ricocheted off a tree into someone's buggy & then into her crotch(it didn't hurt). There were so many crazy shots, penalties for hitting wrong balls etc that even though we didn't win anything we still had a ball!

The women were very friendly yesterday & I got lots of birthday kisses & hugs. Both of our sons rang me, as did other family members including 2 of my GK's. When I got home G had driven 80km during the day to the coast to buy fresh oysters & Trevalla & a bottle of French Champagne (Mumm- YUM!). I had no idea what he had planned, but it was a very pleasant surprise. I love this man!

On my birthday I played 18 holes of golf & did 63 squats. This number is significant :D

Lots of love to everyone. Thank you for helping me feel special on my birthday, xoxo Cate

Hi, Folks. Nothing much to report really. Have been exercising, eating well etc & having a couple of days at home with GL, which has been nice. About to put my head back in a book :) xo Cate
