Cate's Diary

It's the height of summer, your body may not be burning as much as it does in colder months. Or maybe it's starting to adapt to the fasting by upping your intake on normal days. Probably good thinking to count along for a while again.

Hi Cate, thanks for dropping by my diary. Are you still trying to lose weight or just maintaining?
Hi Emily. I almost said I was happy with my current weight, but what I really mean is I would like to get down another 5kgs, back to my lowest weight as I want to have a buffer zone. I am inclined to regain quickly if I don't watch what I eat. I am doing it very slowly, but will count calories again when my sister goes back.

Hi LaMa. I do find it easier to "diet"in Winter. I am going to wait until my sister's visit is over as I enjoy taking her around & enjoying treats with her. I'm going to go back to tracking my cals on MFP for a while then & still doing 5:2. I think I have adjusted up on the "other" days.
You'll figure it out Cate.
You have done so extremely well! *WooHoo*
Thanks Stacy! I do have a plan & I will implement it soon. I have also been very lazy lately.

We were going to go to "town" today to try to get organised for the 2 day vets golf tournament coming up in a couple of weeks, but G has a comp on tonight & he would really like me to do the bar while he plays. We both decided we would go Thursday instead so that we could take our time & also have a relaxing day at home today. We spent a fair bit of time doing golf club stuff yesterday.

I had a good eating day yesterday, even with the Sunday night treats & woke very hungry. We just had a delicious omelette, filled with yummy cooked veg, a little ham & cheese. G is such a good cook. It had Ratatouille, spinach & mashed pumpkin in it. Delicious. We'll have a very small lunch & maybe just a toastie tonight which I can take with me. G can have a pastie at the club. He can eat anything!

We are both very lucky Jen. I find cooking a chore. I made lunch though- tuna salad with home-grown lettuce, celery, Lebanese cucumber, cherry Romas, spring onion, olives, grated fresh Parmesan, 1/4 avocado, walnuts, thinly sliced tiny apple (our 1st home-grown) a little Mayo & home-made Vinaigrette, followed by a fresh fruit platter.
Tonight I am having a toastie, made with sourdough oat bread, a little avocado, a little hot salami & some Sambal Oelek.
G will have a vegetable pastie.
I have actually felt quite bored today. We may as well have gone to town. I hate going somewhere at night, when you have been home all day. I don't often get bored!

Hi Cate...just browsed through your diary...wow...you are doing great!!! and all this yummy healthy food!......All the best.

Maybe the boredom is a sign you´re getting back to a more relaxed pace
Maybe LaMa. You might be right. I'll need a new hobby :D Maybe I could get back into exercise :D

Thanks Saks. My WLF diary is epic- 9 years worth!! I love good food. It should be enjoyed.

Trying to get caught up here... so much catching up to do, but not enough time to do it all in. :( It sounds like you're still doing fantastic and I'm very happy for you. :) As for possible hobbies, are you a crafty person? I'm DYING to learn how to paint, but can't seem to find the time or space to start!

Ha, I actually love cooking but am the laziest cook ever. I use my slow cooker most days and eat so many bags of kale slaw from Woolies (best salad mix EVER).

Hello My internet mum. :blush5: I'm back with my tail between my legs looking very sheepish. Just wanted to pop in and say hi.:beating:
Hi sweetie pie. I love, love, love having you back xoxo
Hi Mandy. I'm not faintly crafty. I need to do something physical and I would also love to learn Italian. I just love the language!(& French)
Hi Allicat. I have been fasting today & about to have a bowl of soup for dinner, followed by some yoghurt & fruit. I am struggling with it & almost always get a headache the day I semi-fast. My sister does too. I drink lots of water.I'm not going to have a FD again until after she leaves, but will just try not to overdo the eating while she is here. It should be fine. I am absolutely ravenous right now!
Hey, Lucy. I might have to get some kale slaw. I haven't spotted that in Woolies! I assumed it was something you made yourself! I'll check it out next time I shop. I love vegetables & fruit!

The next couple of weeks are going to be way too busy. I think I would prefer boredom! I don't think I'll have time to post in my diary, or anyone else's tomorrow. I'll try in the afternoon, but won't have much time between playing in the women's golf comp, afternoon tea etc. G is doing the bar, so we won't be able to get away easily (will have to lock up!) & then we have an 8-ball final tomorrow night. At least the 8-ball will all be over in a couple of weeks, until the end of the year.
Love to all, xoxo Cate

Cate...do you ever take a day off? Like, do you ever just get up in the morning and say to yourself, "No...I am NOT doing that today. I am going to sit my ass down and stay here. I'm going to do nothing and I'm going to love it."

Hi Cate, that salad you made sounded yum. The golf must keep you in good nick. Great to get so much time out-of-doors as well.

Short answer chef - not often enough :blush5:

Hi Emily. I often have a salad like that. There are so many things you can put in a salad. I love them! Golf is really good exercise, especially the way I play it. The worse you are at golf the more exercise you get! It was very hot today.
G just told me that he is 2 players short tonight for the 8-ball final so needs me to play.
I'm about to go have a shower & hopefully find some oomph!

I bet you can handle the busy-level if you're doing well with eliminating the unnecessary stresses in life. Which it sounds like you're doing, so keep it up!

You are a busy bee as usual! ;):hug2:

........lmbo......hahahahaha! Thank goodness I just saw a spelling error... You are a busty bee.... :smilielol5:

Hope you found some oomph!

Hi Oaks. you're right. I had a shower & felt much better. I was all prepared to play & one of our players, who thought he wouldn't be able to play turned up. YAY! We got off to a bad start & were 3-0, got back to 4-4 & then won 8-4, so are in the GF next week. I got to have a couple of champagnes & G drove home.
I'm showered again & feeling really refreshed after a very sound sleep & we are off to Launceston today. I feel on top of things again. I'm getting a haircut today. I'm starting to feel like a shaggy dog. When my hair is driving me crazy everyone says how nice it looks!
Hi Stacy. I'm certainly not a busty bee :D my last 5kg I think disappeared each one by a kilo...well half anyway :blush5: Oh well.
Your new avatar is very nice btw xo
