Cate's Diary

Have a great trip!
I love that you give them fragrance free cleaner to use. Most people wouldn't think of it, it's very thoughtful.

Tattooed? How many does he have?
Some people hate them. I'm no fan of big ones that cover most of the body and I'm not a huge fan of colors or writing but each to their own... but love average sized ones.
I have a question mark on my lower back with a design around it, an origami crane on my upper back and my top and bottom eyeliner is also tattooed on :-o
Hubby doesn't like tattooes but didn't mind when I got my second one.
Hope all that luggage was with in the weight, they can sting a fortune for excess luggage.

You had a gain but stay focused and it will come off,

Quick post! Have had trouble with Internet connection here!
Am doing the best I can but know I will go home gaining! It's very hard when every meal is eating out. Am fitting in walks though. Am tired this afternoon & may just have a nap. We play again at 5 so don't have much time xoxo love to all Cate

Glad all is well Cate, you are doing the best you can and yes it is hard when eating out. You will be home soon and the weather is getting better...will make a difference. ox mw.

You are very sweet. Got home last night but have not weighed yet. I know I don't feel like drinking any alcohol for a while, or eating out! We are both very tired! I had a good time & enjoyed being team manager. I got used to the paperwork fairly quickly & think I did a pretty good job of it. It is very costly going away for the Nationals though- probably about $5K! They are in Darwin next year & we would love to go there. We would think about going beforehand though & doing some sightseeing.
I have lots to do this week & my sister is arriving next Sat for a week & our YS will be coming home that same week probably. So, I may not be spending much time in the forum.
I had better have a quick look around now.
Bye for now xo Cate

Hi Cate, sounds like you had a great time.....but lovely to be home.
You must be so happy when YS comes home.
Your dog must be happy when they come home too ...I love dogs. My ex has a shih tzu, and he is like my second son. As I have known him since he was 4 months old and now is at least 10 years.
5k :ack2: I cannot even think of that.

Have a great day back at home tomorrow...talk soon ox mrs woods ...mw.

Welcome home!

Sounds like you had a good (though expensive) time.

Don't worry too much about the weight. Just hop right back on track.

Weight after our 2 weeks away- 86.5kg :(
Tomorrow is my new Day 1!
I'm going to go back on My Fitness Pal & chart everything I eat & drink & my exercise, but will not eat back my extra calories.
I have a very sore throat & a heavy head :(
While we were away lots of people got very ill, with "lung infection," "chest infection," "viral infection" & so on. I think the air conditioning is very faulty & should be thoroughly cleaned. I thought we had escaped illness! I'll go to the doctor tomorrow if I wake up sick still. Regardless, I am back on track with a firm commitment to lose weight!
Thanks Mrs W & Mr Vee (alcohol is out for me too for a while!) for welcoming me back home xo Cate

Hi Cate,
hope you feel better soon, I hate those air conditioning things in hotels.
You only put on 1 kg???....I would have done that in one day.....Oh that's right I did...week 9 ish.

I thought you were going to say 4 kgs. I think you have done very well...having to eat out etc.
Am so glad to hear you are still so committed and go see doc if you are not feeling good as you don't want it to get too bad.

Take care Cate... lovely to have you back ox mw.

Thanks Mrs W- I feel awful this morning! I'm in my PJ's & dressing-gown on my recliner & I don't want to move. At all. My head is splitting so had better get off the computer! xo Cate

Hi MW & Q- I actually went out & played 18 holes of golf yesterday as it was one of our annual tournaments. I probably played my worst game ever, but I did complete 18 holes, & considering how bad I felt, that was a minor miracle! I am going to the doctor today. Thanks for your pm MW- that was sweet of you. Thanks Q for wishing me well, when you're feeling crook yourself. You get well too! I love this forum.

I have not weighed today, but know that I have lost- maybe even the 1.5kg I re-gained in Western Australia. I'll weigh tomorrow, or Sat. No alcohol for a while. I'm going to stay on the wagon for as long as I can. If weight comes off easier it may be quite a while. Being sick means I don't even miss it.

I had better get a move on. There is so much on at the moment, with the Golf Club mainly as it's the time of year for all the tournaments. My lovely husband is the captain & I am the Bar Manager. I have gone on the general committee now so will be going to their meetings. Goose! They were short!

I almost forgot. Yesterday was our 38th wedding anniversary & we both forgot, until mid afternoon when I saw a phone reminder! :blush5: That is the first time we have forgotten!! No French champagne or dinner out though last night. We'll save that for when I'm better! It's not the end of the world forgetting. Our marriage is wonderful. That's the main thing :beating:

I'll go before I get too mushy, xoxo Cate

PS to above post- went to the doc & have a temp, swollen glands, red raw throat & yep, a chest infection & am now on a dose of strong antibiotics & with a repeat. I have felt worse.

Well the good news is that you're getting treated now. Rest up, kick back and take it easy for a day or two (at least a day anyway) and you should be back to functionality.

Get well soon!!

Hope you feel better soon Cate, hate chest infections.
How fantastic...38 years, congratulations, that does not happen much these days.
Talk soon way past my bed time. ox ms.

Hi V & MW & thanks for the good wishes. I am starting to feel much better & even played a prank on my LH this morning, which is a good sign. My sister is arriving tomorrow from interstate & it's my Mum's 89th birthday on Sunday. We are taking her out to lunch at the local raspberry farm/cafe, which she likes. It is the annual championships at the golf club over this week-end, but my LH will not play, so he can come to lunch too. He'll see the golfers off & do all the paperwork & then go back again afterwards & probably do all the cards/bar/presentation etc. Our OS & the 3 GK's will be there for lunch too. Hopefully it will not be too difficult with Mum & that she enjoys it.
I doubt there will be many (any) more birthdays for either of our mothers.

Weight last Sunday- 86.5kg.
Weight today 84.5kg :D . That's 2kg in 5 days :D

I'm staying on the wagon for a while. Being sick has helped as well. I have been staying under 1400cals per day. In every cloud there's a silver lining :D

Time to move. We're off to Devonport today to do some shopping for the golf club (surprise, surprise!)
Bye for now xoxo Cate

& we had lunch at our favourite Chinese restaurant & had their lunch special, which includes a glass of wine or soft drink (soda) & I asked if it would be possible to share a pot of green tea instead. Yep! Done :Angel_anim: This being on the wagon is making me feel quite saintly :D xoxo Cate

Hi Cate...great news on 2 kgs in 5 days, you must be so happy.
Hope you all have a great time at your mothers 89 th birthday, hopefully the weather will be kind.

You are very good being "on the wagon". I have so many friends and neighbours that just drop around with a bottle of bubbly. We have a great time and so far has not affected my weight loss, I think that I used to just eat too many carbs....and they are all so skinny, and too have said they cut the carbs.

Cannot wait for the warmer weather...have air conditioner so it will be nice.
Take care and enjoy the weekend (long, as Tuesday is a holiday).
ooxx ms.

PS..I use a on line spell check, and have to laugh when I put in carbs and it wants to replace it with....Crabs.:smilielol5:
