Ooh Congrats on buying the BL dvd!! I love it for the days I don't want to trek over to the gym!! :) Its got 4 different routines in one section, you can even make your own like combination, say.. you want to do your own stretching, you can jsut set it up to do two sets of 30 minute cardio sessions. Theres like moderate cardio, difficult cardio, sculpting and boot camp! Plus I think there is awhole other section I have not even ventured into yet!! :eek: But I think you will REALLY enjoy it.. the moves aren't too fancy either. Plus, I have to admit, its funny to hear the people exercising griping at the trainer.. They'll be yellin at him "What are you smokin today?!" cause they can feel the burn. lol!!

Ok, now I am laughing! You are so funny!! :D I actually have a new scale though and this might not work with it. If it gets moved the wrong way, you have to step on and off to reset it so it won't give a fake reading. If I do that much too it, it might really give a bad reading and I would have to beat the heck out of it! Lol!

That's too bad about the kid. There are more and more like that these days. I don't know about where you live, but here the kids only get one recess a day, and the teachers always seem to take it away when they get in trouble or don't get their work done so then they don't have one at all. Then they complain about childhood obesity! At my son't middle school for lunch, they have "a la carte." They have three choices anyway - regular line, sandwich line or salad. Then they can either not get that at all or get it plus extra stuff like pizza, nachos, hamburgers. It is disgusting! Some children get from the lunch line and then add stuff and others just skip the regular lunch and only order this fattening stuff every day! But now in this state, you can't send candy to school except for certain days for parties, but then at the same time kids can buy this crap at school. And they say childhood obesity is all the parents' fault! This stuff makes me mad. When I become an attorney, I think I am going to try to get involved with making changes with this.
 
Hi NewLeaf and HH :D NewLeaf, I really hope I like it - I can't wait for it to get here!!! I soooo want to try it! LOL then hide it from hubby for a while! hehehehe

HH, on my scale, I had to MARK where to stand as it depends on where you are standing as to what reading you get! :rolleyes: I took a permanent marker to it it made me sooo mad! One second you are at a good number but if you wiggle a toe over too much you add 20#, I mean really! I wish I could afford to get a new one, but alas, this one is only 8 months old or so and it was pretty expensive so I'll have to wait a little longer...... The school here doesn't exactly offer the healthiest stuff:mad: I guess, since we are a dinky little island, they don't seem to care too much about the effects of their crappy food on our children. Offer a child a pizza or a salad and you tell me what they will choose!! jeeze, somebody really didn't think the lunch thing through to well!


Okay, well, I only got in 20 min. of Tae-bo - AGAIN! :rolleyes: I am going to try to get in another session before hubby walks in soon. It makes me so mad that I can't seem to make it farther in this thing! I start to get dizzy when my breathing pattern gets off or if I do it too early in the am. So I did it later but either breathing got off or drank too much water but man i started to feel really sick. Come on body get it together! :mad:

Add'l food today:

homemade tortilla chips w/ ground turkey and refried beans

YUM CITY!!

water so far: 64 oz... only 40 or so left :D
 
Tae-bo's no easy task girl so don't beat yourself up about 20 minutes! You'll get there.
And I hear ya on the scale! If I weigh in on mine fully dressed (knowing that's probably an extra 2-3 pounds) and then step on it again naked, it still says the same weight! So basically the first reading is the only reading for the day I guess! LOL! Talk about a lazy scale! ;)
Good job on the water so far today... which reminds me. :eek:

I had a tempermental scale too Bize. It was your typical love/hate scale relationship. I loved it when it would weigh me less...and I hated it when it would weigh me more. Didn't take me long to figure out that if I leaned to the left, the scale weighed me considerable less than if I stood up straight. So, of course I leaned to the left as much as possible!

I finally bought a new scale last month. Turned out the new digital scale didn't fall for that leaning to the left thing. Not only that, but it weighed me about three pounds higher than the old scale (even when I was standing up straight). It was depressing to find out I was fatter than I thought!

Guess I am over it now. lol.

You are doing great! Do you really drink 100 oz of water a day????? Keep up your good work! :)

Oh my goodness! That is so funny! Maybe I should try leaning to the left! I weighed myself this afternoon even though I knew I shouldn't since, after all, it WAS the afternoon and it is that TOM. It gave me a number that I didn't like too well and if I could have bent over to pick up the stupid thing I know I would have thrown it! Oh well, I keep telling myself to not worry about it. Wait a few days and weigh in the morning (and lean to the left :p ). And to be honest, I am seriously considering marking mine!

Paula, the tae-bo thing only frustrates me b/c I have been stuck at the twenty minute mark since I started the advanced tape. I found out today that its harder for me to even reach the 20 minute mark if I try it a second time during the day :( I really want to get further in the tape to "show" myself some progress...... Oh well, try and try again I guess. My first scale was lazy (it didn't move the needle and I KNEW i wasn't THAT light! LOL) this scale is just a tempermental hunk o' glass!!!! This one had "rave" reviews in consumer reports and a few people I know who have one - guess they don't really USE theirs! :rolleyes:

Hi MissJ, marking where to stand was the only way to ensure the "same" reading all the time :rolleyes: I found out the hard way though, that the projector markers arent a good idea... They come off on your toes!!!! LOL I left black big toe marks on the floor the first time I did it!!! Good thing they rubbed right off - we have white floors! (some ninny who built this thing did it!) BTW I like friends :D I keep them like I keep eggs ... all together and only keep the good ones! LOL


Fluff, if I tried leaning to the left on this thing I'd chip a corner and hear it cry really loud! Its such a baby, I mean really. WHen I readjust on it, you hear it groan and creak, then it flashes bad numbers at me - the equivilant of scale swearing I am sure! LOL I really DO drink 100 oz a day - minimum of 80. I take a B-complex vitamin that , if I am not careful, will dehydrate me due to its dose. I have to take it or risk getting my migranes back up to 3-4 a month. With the B vitamin, I have only gotten two in the last 6 months (just got rid of a 4 day one).

Hi Angela! V-day was just another day.... Hubby seemed to pick this day to work late (the last 2 weeks he's been home by 3 but tonight he got home at 6). Homework with the kids and dinner as he walked in.... Oh well :rolleyes: Other than that all has been really good. Thank you for checkin' on me!

LOL Don't just think it - do it so that the scale knows you mean business. Well, short of dropping an anvil from the ceiling, its the best i can think of for you to do "in your condition"! LOL :p :D

Okay, so like I stated to Paula above, a second tae-bo session just is not a good thing right now. Guess when I do a second workout session I choose something else. I had all I could do to get through 15 minutes on the second round - and my shoulders are really sore now. Huh. figures.

Did better on food today. Actually, if it weren't for the dinner I made for hubby and stealing some of the mashed potatoes I don't usually allow myself, I wouldn't have hit 1000 calories tonight. Taters added 319 calories for 3/4 C! He likes them with whole milk and lots of butter - and I stole some :eek: I also had some angel food cake with strawberries and splenda - Dessert is something I don't allow myself at night either. I figured since it was valentines day I would treat myself since nobody else would. I feel kind o' guilty but not a lot since it could have been chocolate or something worse for me than a fat free cake and fruit.


so total calories for today was 1275 - even after taters

Oh yeah, dinner was turkey tenderloin and taters with "strawberry shortcake" for dessert. No whipped cream or chocolate sauce

exercise total today: 35 minutes tae-bo

water: 90 oz

well, off to make one more set of rounds before early bed so I can rise early (4 am comes fast!)
 
Hey Cassie, sorry I haven't been in to check on you in so long! It looks like you're keeping yourself pretty occupied though with lots of other checkers-in :p Its good to be popular, eh?

Anyways, an interesting fact that was told to me the other day (and I'm not entirely sure of its correctness, but it makes sense) is that you should wait until you stop hurting after a work out, and then wait 12 more hours before doing the same workout again! Supposedly, that's how long it takes to "regrow" the muscles that you've worked so hard, and stressing them again before their ready will just make it take longer for them to repair and get stronger. So I wouldn't worry if you can't do the workout twice in the same day - take some time to rest, and maybe work on a different part of yourself :)

Anyhow, you had a great day!! You guys all motivate me so much! You have a lot of control and alwasy seem to fit that exercise in. I am happy w/ 4 days a week. I just don't always get it. Keep it up!

LMAO. Toe marks! Too funny. Good thing they rubbed off! I have white floors too, every little thing shows up. I'm always seeing the smallest things on it. I like your egg analogy, very cute. Good mornin' all! :D Beagle, glad u could stop in again ;) I like friends - they good for Toadies motivation! :D OMG, I woke up this morning sore in places I haven't been sore in a LONG time!!! LOL I know they say no pain no gain, but Beagle, I AM resting today. I had all I could do to heave myself out of the danged water bed at 4am! Not b/c I was so bleary-eyed I couldn't find the edge of the bed but b/c I was so sore I couldn't pull to heave my considerable self out of the thing! I am going to try to do my bobyball today but if muscles can't take it I am not goin' to push it too hard. I am SUCH a wimp! :rolleyes:

MO2, unfortunately I don't always get in my exercise..... i've just been lucky lately ;) I use YOU GUYS for inspiration - like lots keep sayin', its a cycle that keeps on giving :)

MissJ, I don't know who thought white floors were great to put down but they should be shot! They are throughout this whole place - how stupid is that!?!?!?! Oy! I don't think I've met a rotten egg here, but I'll be sure to tell ya if you start giving of a stench d' sulfur! hehehehe OHHHHH those taters..... well, i blame them for not sleeping too well last night! I haven't had potatoes, rice or such at night in over a year and I have slept fine. Last night was a WHOLE other story. Stupid spuds! LOL


Okay, so today, since I am unsure about how the exercise thing will go, i am going to try to keep my calories around 1100 - if I am stay away from the tempting goodies, I won't have a problem. I didn't start the morning off all that well, though.... I was packing hubbys lunch this morning and putting cookies in a little bag for him. Well, see, one broke trying to take it off the tray..... I ATE IT :mad: URRRRR!!!! I was hungry but not so hungry that I couldn'thave waited. :mad: Oh well, I ate it already, its not like I can give it back or anything! LOL

Will be back later to check in with everybody :D

Good Morning! ;) Everyone's body needs a rest day! So don't sweat it (no pun intended) if you don't get to the bodyball today, your muscles need some recovery time! IT sounds like you are doing really good. As for the broken cookie you consumed. Well, as my mother always said (who is a petite 115lbs) don't you know a broken cookie has no calories?? ;) Hehe.. Of course that was the theory. :D She's still stick thin! Who knows! But don't beat yourself up over it. Enjoy your day.. relax! :) Have a great one!

Lol! I guess I do! It sucks having to balance on one foot on the scale. I am always wondering if it is the true weight! I have to do it several times to see if it still gives me the same number before I believe it!

One cookie?! Shame on you, you bad bad girl! Lol! JK! Don't worry about one little old cookie. Especially when you are having difficulty making it to 1200 calories. You are doing great! :D
 
Speaking of cookies....My downfall is peanutbutter cookies...I made them several times during the holidays, and attribute a good part of my weight gain back then to them.:mad: why oh WHY do they make them small enough to force you to eat more than one? You showed restraint, Im tellin ya!

Well, i guess if I ingested the crumlby sucker, it must write it, but I do it in protest! LOL I won't sweat the bodyball if I don't make it :) I just got good news.... my Biggest Loser dvd is "in transit" from a town about 40 miles away TO ME!! YAY! I may have to pop it in before I get the kids I am supposed to babysit today - IF it gets here in time. I HOPE it gets here in time!

HH, I don't know what happened to the cookie! LOL It was sitting pretty on the tray and then *squish!* it just crumbled!! Then the crumbs ended up in my mouth and down the gullet - I DON"T know how they got there! :rolleyes: Thats okay, 'cause I have it from a reliable source that broken cookies have no calories ( NewLeaf) :p hehehehehe . Her mama wouldn't lie to her - would she?! LOL

HI Angela:) I have decided that I wont' worry too much if I DO end up missing out on this exercise, but I really don't want to if I can help it. I tend to get lazy when I miss a day :eek: I mean REALLY lazy - the "I don't feel like it today" kind of lazy on the next day. So I will TRY a low impact one but then make myself kick butt tomorrow. :)

Um, Kate...? IT WAS A PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE WITH OATMEAL AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!!!! It was sooooo good but sooooo bad for me and NOT on my "menu" for today! These little suckers pack a HUGE calories wallop but man are they tastey!!!!!! The melt in your mouth kind of Tasty! *slap, slap, slap* they taste awful, they taste awful, they taste awful"... um, didn't work :eek: I still want one. Good thing they are at work with hubby!!!!

left over roasted turkey tenderloin

2 oz fresh parm. cheese

calories so far... 680 ( right on for my "menu" of 1100 - 1200 today)


Water so far: 48 oz. look out lake I still have a while to catch you with the straw! hehehehe


On another note, I get to babysit my cousin tomorrow (again) YAY! Good thing she seems to like me :rolleyes: Today, I babysit a friends kids - one sick the other is getting off the bus here. Not really looking forward to it but she helps me often enough I guess :eek: If I don't pop back in for a while you know these two got me!

You crack me up. Stench d' sulfur! I love it. hehe The taters kept you awake last night? Interesting. I've been waking up every single night, wide awake in the middle of the night. I usually fall back asleep within an hour. No taters on my end though. Hmmm. Well, let me take that back, I do eat some curly fries now and then. Do you notice any other foods that keep you up? I hadn't thought that food could be the culprit of my late night wake up calls.

Anyhow, I hope you have a great day today girlfriend! Kick some booty!

Hey MissJ :) I find that when I eat SIMPLE carbs at night ( i.e pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, etc) I don't sleep well and I lose weight like a slug - not at all! LOL My favorite saying for the last year or so has been "If it's white don't eat it at night" :D hehehe stupid, but it reminds me! LOL If it isn't a carb from a veggie or some sort of protein, I dont' eat it at night. Well, TRY not to. :rolleyes:

Haven't you noticed that "rotten" people tend to "stink"?! LOL I wouldn't come right out and tell you you're rotten or anything ..... just remind you that maybe you need to use soap when you shower! Lucky I like ya :p :D

Well, tots toys have run out - time for Cat ( their nickname for me) to make an appearence! LOL Oh man, am I glad my kids are past this stage! LOL
