Hey MissJ :) I find that when I eat SIMPLE carbs at night ( i.e pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, etc) I don't sleep well and I lose weight like a slug - not at all! LOL My favorite saying for the last year or so has been "If it's white don't eat it at night" :D hehehe stupid, but it reminds me! LOL If it isn't a carb from a veggie or some sort of protein, I dont' eat it at night. Well, TRY not to.

Haven't you noticed that "rotten" people tend to "stink"?! LOL I wouldn't come right out and tell you you're rotten or anything ..... just remind you that maybe you need to use soap when you shower! Lucky I like ya :p :D

Well, tots toys have run out - time for Cat ( their nickname for me) to make an appearence! LOL Oh man, am I glad my kids are past this stage! LOL

Good idea! I like your rhyme about not eating whites at night. I'll have to remember that one. I have noticed that rotten people stink. Every once in a while I will pass one on the streets. Nasty! Luckily I do use soap on a daily basis.. hehe I'm also one of those compulsive hand washers. I hate getting sick, so i am always aware of what I am touching and where I am putting my hands, avoiding my eyes, nose, and mouth. Ever since I took that one nursing class and watched a video on what learks beneath ones fingernails and on the hands, I've never been the same! lol

Anyhow, have fun with the kiddos!

I should keep the white rhyme in mind too, though I haven't really tracked it to see if it affects my sleeping. It just seems like a good thing to avoid in general! I know I slept pretty terribly last night (both FH and I did in fact), but I think its more to do with the fact I tried going to bed before I was actually tired, and just becuase I "should" go to bed by 2am... I'm such a night owl, but I figured less than 6 hours of sleep would be a bad thing on Test Day :p

Hi MissJ and Beagle :D It been so long since I have eaten carbs at night that I can really tell the difference in how I sleep when I DO have them - like those blasted taters! The scale is also more friendly the next day! hehehehe I know - its cheating but it works for me! LOL

Well, all in all, today wasn't so bad. Rest of food for today

1 pc belgian chocolate
2 C popcorn

turkey
skim milk

total calories for today 1162

water - every little drop :D

exercise - absolutely NONE - tomorrow I kick butt though :D

Gotta go and ref. the family - men/boys and their toys!
BTW MissJ, glad to know you know how to use the soap :p :D

HH, I don't know what happened to the cookie! LOL It was sitting pretty on the tray and then *squish!* it just crumbled!! Then the crumbs ended up in my mouth and down the gullet - I DON"T know how they got there! Thats okay, 'cause I have it from a reliable source that broken cookies have no calories ( NewLeaf) :p hehehehehe . Her mama wouldn't lie to her - would she?! LOL

Oh, you poor little innocent thing! I'm sure you had nothing to do with the squishing and crumbling! Lol! Hmmm.... maybe I need to start squishing my cookies since the broken ones have no calories! :D

Oh, by the way, I think my scale is a liar! I may have to get after it with a paddle!

Good mornin' HH :D LOL I WAS innocent!!! Really!!! It WAS supposed to be part of the Cookie Gang that was hijacking hubby's lunch but, alas, it had other sinister ideas - commandering my gullet! hehehehe You should try squishing 'em - first you hear them scream and THEN you get calorie-free goodness! :p :D

Well, got the BL dvd yesterday around noon. I SOOO wanted to try it then but babysitting didn't allow for it. This morning, I am reved and ready to kick but before going to babysit my favorite wee one on the planet - my cousin. :D

So far today

turkey chili (weird but quick  )

32 oz water

Will pop in to check everyones diarys later this morning:D

Morning!! :) As for those broken cookies.. hmm I duno I would write them down in protest probably too!

Yay for the biggest loser dvd. I can't wait to see your next post to hear how it went and what you thought of it! ;) Enjoy babysitting the wee one ! Ooh makes me long for one a bit. ;)

Hi NewLeaf and Angela, thanks for stoppin' in :) Okay, now, I have done Tae-bo Advanced for 20 minutes and the Basic tape for 30 minutes... I decided, since i have a time thing goin' on today, that I would jump in with both feet (and a set of weights) to the BL dvd. Figured, if I can' handle 20 then I have SERIOUS problems.... Yut, I did the warm-up and the cool-down.... AND THE 20 MINUTE BOOT CAMP in between! AHHHHHHHH! Even my socks are sweaty and my arms are filled with so much lead that I have all i can do to reach the keyboard to type an S.O.S.!!! LOL My fingers are so tired, I have to keep hitting "backspace" to fix my danged goofs!!!! It was just as hard as my advanced Tae-Bo tape! Actually, harder, I think, as you don't switch muscle groups as much with BL. BUT, I made it through it all even though I thought I was gonna keel over before the cool down got here:D And just for the record, the others didn'tswear at him HALF as much as I did when he dragged a "give me ten more" to 15 and 20! LOL It was really good to see that they were "dying" right along with me and sweating as much, if not more, than me. I mean, twenty minutes, who'd have thunk you could sweat so much in such a short amount of time!?!?!

Ugh! off to the shower - man, now I stink like a guy! EW! Somehow I don't think "Li'l Bad Biker Baby" would appreciate it! LOL

oookay...lots of fodder here for me to comment on :)

first love that saying!!! NOW i am gonna have to use the internet to look up the whys on the no white at night! cause guess what? I have been eating either salads, jello, or pickles the last few nights, and HAVE been sleeping way better! In fact the ONLY night I have trouble is my CHEAT nights!(and youd think my beer splurges would help...nope!)

second, let's make a pact not to mention those delicious 'round' things we both like! I cant bear it!

third, have yourself a really really great day ok?

HI Kate :) The saying is one my trainer gave me to remind myself Weird but it worked for me. He told me that carbs = energy and you don't need them at night. Your body gears up for business when you eat them. If you don't burn them, your body is geared up longer and then it gets stored as that dreaded, three letter F word :D

I won't mention the "c" word. I cross my heart :D

Great day underway ;) Here's hopin' you do the same :D

Lunch today is seafood/pasta salad w/ wheat pasta... Yummmmmm... Its my "treat" for being good that won't rock my calorie boat :D I would hate to take a plunge now! I just got that scale movin' again :p :D

Off to "biker baby" sit :D

I apologize to everyone I didn't get a chance to visit tonight. I got home later than normal from Aunties and only had time to make it to so many of ya. Tomorrow I promise I will be back to my regular "buggin' y'all " self :D

Well, what a rush tonight. Didn't make it home in time for the bus so the kids had to let themselves in and played for 30 minutes until I got home. :( Man, I hate it when that happens. They are old enough to stay home alone for a short time, but I don't like it. I also got a note in the mail from the school. They got into a fight on the bus on the 10 MINUTE ride to school on the 10th. Instead of CALLING ME so I could take care of it when it happened they send a stupuid letter. Not cool. They don't even remember what they were fighting about. From the sounds of the letter, one twin was defending his brothers "honor" and then had to be defended or get his head bashed in. They are ten! What in the name of all that is holy would make them do that when they aren't usually that sort?! GRRRR! SOO many issues with this situation ( I have) and the way the school handles things!

ANYWAY. Danced around for over 45 minutes to get Li'l Miss Biker Sprout to sleep. My arms felt like lead and I swear I had a spike driving into each hip. I think I might still have the hole from those spikes! Once the burning stopped I felt great, weak, but great. After being pulvarized by the BL workout, I didn't think I'd have it in me! hhehehe

Lets see, dinner tonight is fresh haddock and broccoli and a half glass of skim milk.

Total calories for the day: 1150

water today: only 64 oz :(

total exercise: BL 20 min. boot camp and dancin' with Cuz 45 min.

after dinner (v. soon) I am gonna kick the kids off to bed and take me a long, hot, steamy bubble bath...... ahhhh I can feel the heat in my muscles just thinkin' about it! :D

Good morning all :) Another early mornning  Man, I hope DH doesn't work tomorrow! THen I can sleep in until 5:30...

LOL HH, I call my cousin "Big Bad Biker Sprout" to tease my uncle :D He always said the best child is one you could give back to its parents when they start screaming or turning to biker gangs. Now he has a daughter who is the apple of his eye (he still calls my aunt every time she poos  ). I keep telling him not to worry, I'll tell her she has to wait 'til she's 18 to join a biker gang but he seems to think she'll join one when she's 8 :D Its really funny, just the look that comes over his face when I tell her I'll get her a leather jacket with "Biker Sprout" on the back :D hehehe I love to make him squirm and its SO easy!

Hi MissJ :) I know I worked my butt of yesterday b/c I woke up and could feel every muscle in my shoulders! LOL Yeesh! Actually, I don't really mind it after I've been up for a little while b/c it lets me know that I did something worth while the day before. :D I know, I'm a doofus but it sure beats rolling in Ben Gay! hehehe

Okay, off to make the kids' lunch and do some dishes before I have to yank them out of bed - well, I don't yank. I beat on their door and tell them to get out of bed REALLY loud (but not to scream ) then I pull the covers off and leave the room :D Figure, if all the noise doesn't get them up then freezing their skinny tushes will ;)

Well, thanks to the pouring rain, I crammed 6 kids into my car to wait for the bus! Here's hoping I don't have to do that again any time soon! Man, I don't like their music (it sounds like nails on a chalk board to this simple country girl  ) and they STILL don't know how to keep the voices down in a small space when they are all together! Yeesh!

Food so far today:

cottage cheese
yogurt
quakes

total calories so far: 240
water: 32 oz so far

exercise: as soon as I sign off I am going to tackle another BL workout - NOT Boot Camp! I am a glutten for punishment but not the painful kind! LOL I maybe a twice a week thing but definitely not two days in a row!

ROFL!!!! (rolling on floor laughing), I love Biker Baby!! That is hilarous. :) OMG, if it wouldnt' cost a sig. amt of money, I'd say get the leather jacket ,just to see your uncle's reaction!! hehe. People are so funny when they become parents themselves..! (I should bite my tongue here, as I have yet to myself haha :p )

Sounds like you are doing great!! Good job on the BL, can't wait to hear how today's gone. And the bootcamp IS a real kicker!!

Lol! That is so cute about the biker baby! They are going to come after you if she ever does that! lol!

I know what you mean about the kids and not knowing how to use inside voices. Just remember though, that many of those kids will remember you when they are grown and have their own kids and tell stories of how nice you were to all of them. :) And the music thing. I am not looking forward to when my kids get into the music that currently seems to be popular. Right now my son and daughter likes country and the "old" rock music. She also likes some of that new stuff by those little boys, but I can handle all of that. There is some of that stuff though that I don't think I could handle for very long!

Have a great day and keep up the good work!

Hi all! Well, Angela, I wasn't able to get to my work out like I planned  I decided I had better eat something first as my belly was announcing its emptiness. THEN WE LOST POWER!!!! We didn't get it back for over two hours! I had to wrap my birds in blankets to keep them warm enough and manually light my stove burner to boil water to bring the temp up :( The one draw back to having tropical birds. But I love 'em anyway. Needless to say, once the power came back on, I had to catch up on all the other things for the day and workout time had passed  GRRR! Darned High winds!

NewLeaf, I have this picture in my head of a black baby leather jacket with

"Li'l Biker Sprout"

written on the back - in a pea green, of course :D Man, wouldn't Uncle and Auntie have a cow!!! LOL My uncle is the sweetest "new daddy". When I get there to babysit, he just can't seem to leave her! yesterday, he left 40 minutes late! He was sooo late to work and he didn't even care! It was funny, yet annoying (only b/c I am WAY past that stage! LOL)

HH, they WILL come after me if she does decide to do that! Problem is, I'd laugh them to death. "see" I'd say " I told you it would happen and I was right, wasnt' I?! Cousins never lie!" then they'd bash my head in (lovingly of course! hehehhe). AS for the kids' music - it was Pink, which isn't as bad as it could have been, but I listen to COUNTRY. I might as well drive nails in my head! I don't think my speakers have ever had that much trash come out of them EVER! LOL

Well, since I didn't get to exercising today I wanted to keep as close to 1200 calories as I could.

rest of food for today

egg and olive salad (no bread)

skim milk
chicken
broccoli
2 oreos  well, they were calling me and since I can't reach the chocolate (and had enough calories left).......

total calories for today.... 1180

total water today: all of it :)

exercise.... NONE

Better this weekend - I have to be as Monday is weigh in!!!! I think I can, I think I can..... :p :D
