Hi MissJ :) I know I worked my butt of yesterday b/c I woke up and could feel every muscle in my shoulders! LOL Yeesh! Actually, I don't really mind it after I've been up for a little while b/c it lets me know that I did something worth while the day before. :D I know, I'm a doofus but it sure beats rolling in Ben Gay! hehehe

Good for you. You know you had a good workout when you are sore the next day. Feel the burn!! Go BizeB! Do it! :D

but I listen to COUNTRY. I might as well drive nails in my head! I don't think my speakers have ever had that much trash come out of them EVER! LOL

I listen to country and I've had some conversations with my 4 year old as of late. (He loves music.) Have you noticed all the drinking songs lately?! Last fall he asked me what "All Jacked Up" meant. (Um. I didn't know. Took a few listens to "get it.") There's that Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall off. Had to explain that. What about that song that is simply called, Alcohol? Of course, I have to add that the best song he sings is Billy's Got His Beer Goggles on. ("What are beer goggles, Mom?")
But twang is still better than fingernails on chalkboard!

So where's the full report on the DVD? Did I miss it? I'll scroll back. How is it? Should I order it and add it to my assortment of exercise options?

Waiting w/ 6 kids in the car sounds crazy! I have so much to look forward to. Right now my two year old HAS to have Charlotte Diamond on in the car. I can talk my 4 y.o. into soft rock or oldies once in awhile.

Good mornin' all :) MissJ, i love the burn :D I WILL do it - and keep you in mind the whole time :D

Scrappy - Doo! Glad you could drop by :) I HAVE noticed all the drinking songs. Its funny b/c I was just talking to hubby about that a few days ago. I can't stand "Alcohol" though I love "All Jacked up" and " Billy" and those beer goggles. Jury is still out on the "Tequila" - haven't really decided if I like it or not.

MO2, I LOVE the BL dvd! I would definitely recommend it. The 20 minute "boot camp" is a KILLER - its the kind of pain that makes you wanna cry fowl and give up but makes you so proud of yourself that you didn't die! LOL I loved it! I haven't done the other workouts yet but am going to do all of them before the next week is out :) I really think my "library" of fitness tapes/dvds is complete now. The BL is such a varied dvd that anybody can do it and stick with it. The people he has with him crab at him and get off kilter and have to stop a little, too. I do have to admit though that I swore at him like I have never sworn before - its a good thing he couldn't hear me or his ears would have turned blue! :D I really am not the swearing kind - UNTIL you push my pain buttons! hehehehe Ahhh, the burn was GREAT!

Well, gotta run. I have an interview for a temporary job. Our businesses that hubby and I run are both seasonal so the winter is really rough. this is close to home and only until Easter so its perfect. heres hopin'.....

Don't really have time for breakfast... Gonna have t' wait until I get back. :( I have to go suck down some water so my tummy doesn't talk more than I do at the interview  Will check back later with everybody:D

Good luck with the job interview. I hope you get it!

I threatened my scale this morning and thought of you. I told it that I was going to send it flying if I didn't get the same number as yesterday. What do you know? It worked! :p I didn't have to send it flying!

Hello again! :D Man, am I glad THAT"S over!

Scrappy, I ordered mine from bn.com ( Barnes & Noble) as I had a gift card for there. It was $13 and change with shipping and handling. You might be able to find it cheaper, but I am not sure.

HH, Glad the threats worked with the scale! Great Job! :D See, I ain't always crazy ;) I start the job on MONDAY!!! OMG talk about house of temptation! Its a chocolate factory! LOL Nothing like testing my willpower! Its only until Easter and its 5 minutes from home and the kids school so VERY convenient (sp?). The only problem is now I have to get used to rushing around every morning and working until I have to pick up the boys from school then rushing home to make dinner again.... I can't even have a bottle of water in where I'll be working so getting in all my water will be a challenge. Guess I start as soon as I wake up and go until I go to bed  Oh well, such is life! LOL THE SCALE WILL MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION come hell or high water!!!!

okay, now that I got back from the interview its almost lunch time so I only grabbed half of what I should have for breakfast...

1/2 C cottage cheese
quakes

total so far 170 calories.

water -- just started :( man, i usually have it half gone by now  )

Will pop back again :p :D

Country? COUNTRY?!! its all in how you interpret your music yall!!!

Nah, I like SOME country, but its not saved on my car radio dial, Ill put it like that:p...I also like a little of everything, but will forever be ....

a head bangin mamma!

hope your day goes great!

Hey, maybe you will be like some other people I know and can't stand to it because you are around it all day. Don't really know if it works with chocolate though. My hubby and I used to work in a factory where lunch meat was made. He worked in the part where they mixed the ingredients together, and I worked in the part where we packed the cooked meat. We hardly ever ate any lunchmeat at the time, especially him! But you will do great, because you have willpower, determination, and us to keep an eye on you! :p Congratulations on getting the job!

Kate,
I agree with you. I used to hate country, so did my hubby. We only got to where we can stand to listen to some of the new country mainly because of the kids!

Ki Kate and HH :D LOL Kate, I was raised on country and like it mostly, but I do listen to other stuff too - just not hard rock or heavy metal . Its like nails across a chalk board and gives me a gi-normous headache. One place I worked played oldies all day every day and you weren't allowed to change the channel - I couldn't listen to Oldies for a LONG time after that! LOL I have this gut-busting-laughter pic on my head of a "head bangin' mama" and something tells me it ISN"T what YOU mean! LOL Oh man!! :p :D

HH, I am hoping it is that way with this evil confection! When I was a cook at a cafeteria, also when I was a cook here at a bakery/ deli, I couldn't eat what we served. I just got sick of looking at it every day all day and then turning around and getting it as a lunch option. Just being surrounded by so MUCH of it at a time. One of the episodes of BL put the contestants in a room to "say a final good bye" by eating it for the last time. I know EXACTLY what one of them meant by just seeing it all at once just made her feel ill.

Well, I did get in some exercise today :) We went for a hike in the woods across from our house :) Hubby actually set a pace that had my heart rate up this time :D Usually I don't even break a sweat! LOL Not to mention it is only 5 degrees F here (-10 with the windchill) so we were bundled in all our winter gear and heavy boots  We brought the dog with us this time but we had to head back after 30 minutes b/c he fell through the ice and into the swamp water. He is so old we really wanted to be sure he doesn't come down with pneumonia or lame hips b/c of it.

I came to 2 realizations on our walk. 1) I don' have ski pants as I could bever find any to fit me BUT I have lost enough weight that I can fit my exercise pants under MY JEANS and there is STILL room!!! :D I was still cold, but not as cold as in the past! hehehhehe 2) we JOGGED an eighth of a mile home AND I COULD DO IT! I needed my inhaler, but it was from the cold NOT the jogging! :D I was barely breathing hard as far as the exercise went! :D

Food:

turkey sandwich w/ LF swiss and miracle whip
hawaiian punch

total calories to date: 555

be back later

Let us know abt the job! Regarding the BL dvd. Do you need anything to do it? Weights? A stepper? Bands? I used tohave all that stuff. Somewhere in my garage I suppose. I have a lot of videos. I just haven't dragged them out yet since I usually have good luck at the gym. Lately, life has really messed me up for getting myself to the gym.

Isn't it fun noticing where everyone is? We're spread out everywhere. Fun!

Hi MO2 :) I got the job - I start monday. It sure will be weird working for someone else again, but it is only until about easter. Thats perfect as that is when my business (and hubby's) picks up for the season. If they like me and I like them then they will call me in every fall - again perfect as our businesses slow down by then. As for the BL dvd, weights are optional for the boot camp but necessary for the sculpting sections. I tried the gym thing, but I paid through the nose for a membership and then again for gas and time since it was an hour away (the closest one to our little island). I do have fun finding out where we all are :D I have a little map and I put smiley face pins on it to tell where we all are - all OVER the stinkin' place! LOL It reminds me that, even if I can't get online, I am not in this alone. Hubby thinks I'm nuts but this place has been keeping me going - he doesn't realize how important support is with this "journey" as he has never had to worry about his weight. Just once I wish he could get a glimpse of how hard losing weight really is. Nah, take that back. He' probably whine and say it was too hard then just resume eating

Okay, so I ate a good amount of my calories for dinner  I really hate doing that, but I was soo low - too low, for the day.

quakes

chef salad w/ steak (nice and rare MMMMMM) and LF swiss cheese
asian dressing
skim milk
oatmeal/ fruit cookies (2)

total calories for today 1240

water today: all of it! :D

exercise today: just a hike in the woods - FINALLY hubby set a good pace! not his meandering that he normally does! oh yeah, it was in a full length down parka, insulated hikers with the dog! I felt like I had a heavy load on with all that stuff by the time I got back! It was fun though (despite the -10 windchill!).

Will be back on the morrow :D

Hey Girl! Congratulations on getting a job! I hope you like it. Sounds like you got a great workout in today! Good for you, keep working it. Calories and water intake are great too. You are doing fabulous!

Good mornin' MissJ :) I hope i like this job, too! LOL If I don't I just have to remind myself that it is only until Easter. I hope being good will show on the scale tomorrow. I hate that I get so...... nervous/ anxious about it, but I DO!!! Oh well, builds character I suppose :p :D

Off to eat breakfast...

cottage cheese
light wheat toast
margarine (a li'l dab'll do me :) )
skim milk

water so far - 16 oz (only been up 30 minutes - i got to sleep in unti 6!!!! :D )

Good morning !! Wow ok, so I have slacked in getting to the journals and I totally missed all this new stuff about your new job! Congrats!!! :) I am sure it will be just fine! ;) Yeah just don't eat their profits. lol. :D Really you might get sick of it. I think I would..and I am a chocoholic!!

Looks you are doing great and I will have my fingers crossed that the scales move for you! (ooh and for me too I guess..! as I am in a challenge. lol)

Keep up the great work!

Great news abt. the job! I'm so happy for you. Let us know how it goes. Also, that's great abt. the jeans and exercise pants. Isn't that an amazing feeling? I bought some Tommy Hilfiger jeans in November that were soooo tight. Now they're hanging on me. I love it!

Good luck tomorrow on the job!

I just realized something. I am catching up to you! But you are doing so good, I know you will be lowering that number soon.

I haven't worn a pair of blue jeans since I broke my leg. It's just easier to wear sweat pants or shorts (in the house, obviously). I keep wondering how they will fit on me since I've lost weight since then. Of course, I need new pants anyway since they cut off the pair I was wearing that day! So maybe I will get to buy a smaller size.

good morning, ugh almost afternoon

Looks like that food is still doing great! And the ability to hike and run! Good for You!!

Hey Bize! Congrats on the job! Keep up the great work! Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow!!! Just remember to threaten that scale first! :)

Hi all :) NewLeaf, I have made a deal with myself as far as eating the profits goes.... if I DON'T eat them I won't gain weight and I can have ONE belgian chocolate that my BIL sent from England IF I still want one when I get home :D I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too (toes too -hehehe ) I know you'll do great on the challenge, even without my help!

MO2, it is a WONDERFUL feeling! These pants started out really tight on me but I had refused to buy the next size up. Now I can't buy the next size down as I have 3 or 4 pairs waiting for me already (kind of in-between sizes :( ). I better hurry up and get to the next size down since these others have a giant, 3-finger size hole in the thigh!!! LOL I can't buy any new ones of this size. Nope. Won't do it!

HH, I better get my butt in gear - can't let ya catch me now can I?! :D I bet you WILL be in a smaller size when you go to get new jeans. If we keep "racin'" you'll be there in no time! hehehehe

Hi, Kate :) Running and the hike were great for my motivation! I bet if the weather weren't as cold as was I wouldn't have needed my inhaler either, which is a great improvement. I know I will always need it in the winter, but to not need it when I jog would be heaven!

Fluff, I started threatening the scale this afternoon! LOL I figured I may as well threaten it an extra day so it really knew I meant it come mornin' :D If it doesn't move in the right direction, it gets a sledge hammer and THEN it gets melted down to a glass puddle! hehhhehe Evil ain't I?!?!

Well, didn't get in any exercise today, although I have been really good with my water and calories/fat, etc. I have been trying to get caught up on housework since I won't have the time to take with it as I have had lately. I also packed all lunches for tomorrow so that I can try to squeeze in a workout and shower before going to work. I know I wont' get the time in the afternoon so I want to try to get it in the a.m. I am really worried about stalling as far as the scale goes..... I have been exercising in the afternoons and taking my time with the morning stuff... Looks like it'll be rush, rush in the morning even if I get up at 4 like I have been.... Now I put the crew on the bus and then bust butt to get to work on time.... Now to figure out what to do with the kids during school vacation since they can't go to daycare. :( Man, I don't know that I want them home alone all day even if I am only a quick drive away, but I don't have anybody to watch them... dilemma, dilemma.....

Had an early (really early) dinner so we can hit bed early and be early to rise. Looks like no reading before bed tonight.... jeepers, that's when i get to "relax" afore I snooze! Now I get to pull the boys trick - "I can't sleep! My eyes won't stay closed!" hehhhehehe (yeah, then come mornin' it'll be "just 5 more minutes?!!!" ) LOL well, we'll see!

Okay, rest of Toadies food for t'day...

1 chocolate - an okay for Toadie today, I think.....

Low carb skillet lasagne ( I dont like tomatoe sauce but this was really good!)
-ground turkey, canned green beans (rinsed and drained), cottage
cheese, pasta sauce, spices
2C skim milk (to get calories up)

Water - all of it - well, okay, an ounce or two short 'cause I shared with Big Birdie :)
