Casey's Diary!

Thank you so much mal...after my workout this afternoon I felt refreshed and much more optimistic about everything.

Dinner was yummy...lots of mexican food! I ate until I was full (not miserable full, just until I felt satisfied). My cals total about 2100 today, but I think that's acceptable because I had a really tough workout in the pool this afternoon. Lap after lap after lap, and then a few laps with the flippers. Flippers help with technique but make your legs work so much harder! Tomorrow I am planning on a run in the evening. I'll probably have to do it on the treadmill, even though I really want to get outside. I am anxious to get outside and run around the fitness trail with seven less pounds on me!

I am almost halfway to my goal...the 140's are just around the corner. I still have a hard time believing that I am accomplishing all this. I thought that if I lost weight I'd become this great person, and I'm losing the weight, but I still have all my flaws and problems. It's illogical but I think a lot of others have this mentality that "If I lose weight, my life will be perfect."

size 9/10, huh?! oh, i can't wait for that day!!! :)

i was a snug 16, but now comfortable in 14's, so i'm on my way there! :)

just wanted to say congrats on all your success and hard work!

Go lean crunch...!

Looks like you love the stuff, too. It is sooooo good, seriously. Yum. Okay, anywho, you're doing great, keep it up!

Thank you so much for the encouragement!

Bad night. It was RA Appreciation Day at the dorms, which translates to "Let's Cook the RA's Every Unhealthy Dessert Under the Sun" Day. I ate a piece of chocolate/oreo cake (delicious!) and some banana pudding. So today was not a good day for me. I am planning on trying to do two workouts Wednesday and two Thursday to make up for it. I can't believe I let myself eat that crap. This reminds me that I'm still in progress and have some work to do.

My body just isn't feeling right after taking in all that sugar last night. I'm hoping to redeem myself today. Not a lot to report. I'm hoping to go for a run this afternoon after my swim class. My Spring Break starts Friday at 12pm, and I can't wait to see my family. More later.

I hadn't realized you had a journal. Now that I do, I hope you don't mind me dropping in. :)

Ahhhh, how I wish spring break.

Today I had my first outdoor run since early January. It was incredible! I feel a huge difference. With the weight gone I can go so much faster. I recovered much more quickly. I no longer need to use my inhaler. The only problem is that the top of my inner thighs rubbed together until I started chafing! Ouch. I guess it's time for the spandex! Even more of a motivation to eat healthy and work out...haha.

oh spring break! yes!

the students have a 1/2 day tomorrow, and then they are gone! unfortunately us teachers have to stay and work the rest of the 1/2 day and on friday. oh well, it will be nice to be student-free! :)

i hope you enjoy your much deserved spring break!!

Daisee- sorry to hear that! i know what you mean, my mother has been an educator for the past 14 years. she almost always has to work a full day, even when students get a half-day.

Steve-I am so glad the run went well too! Thank you so much. It finally feels like I'm running again, and not trudging along. I'm not sure what to do today...I might to a light elliptical workout at the gym and some ab work later on. I'd like to hop on the gym scale to see if my weight has gone down any. I'm just waiting for the next 24 hours to pass so I can go home and see my family! Spring Break can't come quickly enough.

Breakfast:
1 bowl oatmeal
1.5 tbl peanut butter

Snack:
1 cup salsa
1 serving multi grain chips

1 foot long veggie on wheat (no cheese): lettuce, onion, green peppers, banana peppers, pickles, honey mustard

Snack:
1 cup apple juice

Snack:
Bit o' Honey candy: 1 serving

I feel like crap. My stomach is torn up from the candy. The Chinese isn't helping, I'm sure. Blegh. I'm retaining water. Sometimes I just get sick of trying. Tomorrow will be better.

Ate too much, again. Stomach is still bothering me. I am really hoping tomorrow will be better. I'm too tired to write all of what I ate, but trust me, it was a lot. No exercise. Blegh.

2 slices wheat bread with 2 tbl peanut butter
1 cup orange juice

Lunch:
food court-2 cups lo mein, 1 cup cooked vegetables, 1.5 cup cooked potatoes

Dinner:
1.5 cups Kashi Heart to Heart
0.5 cups soymilk
1 serving raisins
1 serving mixed nuts

Treadmill...? possibly.

Today was great! Mom took me shopping and I can finally fit into the jeans I like again. I measured myself this morning....

Chest-39
Waist-28.5
Hips-39
Thigh (widest part)-24

I've lost 1.5 inches off my stomach and 1 inch everywhere else since Jan 1st. Yay!

congrats on the loss in inches!!

i really wish i would have been smart enough to do that! (take measurements in the beginning, i mean ). but i still plan to lose more, so it wouldn't hurt to do it now, i guess! :)

have a fabulous day!

Thank you, photocrazed and daisee! I am really proud of myself. I still have far to go. My mother doesn't think I should lose anymore, and I appreciate her opinion, but I really want to look good in short shorts and miniskirts! I feel like I'm determined enough to get to this goal, so I want to work for it. I'm hoping to lose another lb this week- last week was not a good one for me and I am almost positive I didn't lose anything. I have a run planned for later on this afternoon (4 miles, if I don't collapse first!). I can't wait to get out there again. Thank you all again for the encouragement. This forum has helped me so much.
