Thanks for the posts!!!
Flumes - its only just beginning to sink in!!! And I think I'll only really believe it when I get the first paycheck LOL!
Sarah - thank you for your encouragement! Knowing people are reading and cheering me on REALLY REALLY helps! I look forward to coming on here and posting how I am doing
My great week continued! I managed to get some antibiotics for the sinusitus which kicked in after 36 hours so sleeping again - phew!! The bad news is that they make me feel sick (I am allergic to penicillin and have a bad reaction to some of the -mycin antibiotics but have to take clarithromycin for this...) all the time - worse than mornign sicknessand also mean I have a constant taste of chewing on metal filings...a bit like sucking a copper coin...constantly. Needless to say this is tampering with my appetite - the "up side"!
So, Mr X called me twice on Thursday to do him a favour and he told me his schedule on Friday so I could call him for a chat. I left it until last thing on Friday afternoon and when I phoned he said he was just about to call me as I hadn't called him
We chatted for nearly an hour, despite both of us being at work (and his team sitting around him)...and there was no pretense that any of it was really about work..we texted a few times after that in the afternoon. He was pretty impressed with my promotion, asked what was the next grade above and said he'd be seeing me at the next grade up soon! (I'm now equal/slightly above his grade in his organisation although not half as experienced). I'm not that bothered about seeing him physically, its so nice to talk to him so often and we actually get far more personal than we do when meeting as other poeple are there. It's not normal to talk to someone every week for that long about personal stuff unless you have a connection - its like some teenage telephone call - I feel like I am 14 or somethign LOL
and the other news....down to 200 lbs!!
Very happy with that! The next 5lbs are what I call my "magic 5" - i.e. when I stop looking so bulgy around the middle, the spare tire isn't very noticeable and I can switch to wearing tighter tops that emphasize my bust to waist ratio (big bust, smaller waist, big hips). Does that make sense? I look curvy (and overweight) but more smooth curves when I get down to 195 and under. Plus the weight at the top of my bottom/hips is reducing which makes trousers a better fit. Feeling very motivated. Keeping calories down to 1400/1500 per day is working and the cycling is definitely making a difference. Looking forward to upping my running now that my foot is better. Can't remember the last time I craved or bought a chocolate bar or had some crisps.
