So i only joined today, and have seen most people start diaries so this shall be mine.

Ive decided im going to record my weight loss in this diary once per week.

As of 2 hours ago i weighed in at 218lbs... my goal is 145lbs.

Im at home all day long.... so if anyone has any fun websites, fun workouts, interesting recipes, or anything fun to do to help keep my mind off snacking id love it !!!1

please let me know all your secret success tips <3
 
My biggest tip at the moment would be to carefully manage your mood so its easier to make good choices. Do not put off a daily dose of joy. Exercise helps with both of these. Also, there is no deadline. You will immediately feel better once you lose ANY weight. Wait for fulfillment. It takes time to get things rolling and it does get much easier once you figureout what works for you.
 
thankyou for the tip. i know once i get the first 10lbs down ill be super in the mindframe.its just atm i keep on yo-yoing at the moment between 218 max and 210 min.... i push myself hard when im able to get the gym, i just find it so hard being home ALL day, with nothing to do. thats when i turn to snacks

i try keep stocked on healthy-ish snacks (atm 100cal pretzels, and 90cal brekfast bars).
 
so today was a good day. I did 40 minutes on the elliptical, and 20 minutes of toning/ab work with my friend the yoga ball :)

I also did 15 minutes of what i call " fayes crazy dancing around in heels to REALLY dancey music ", probably isint the best idea considering how accident prone i am. but alas it was fun...and heels are nothing but great for toning up them legs !

Baked some low-fat brownies tonight, im hoping our friends come over and eat most of them. I LOVE baking so often when i plan on something sickly and delicious ill invite all our friends over to eat it, and allow myself 1 slice/piece etc :)

But a few days into my diet its going well. Cant wait until the end of the week to see how much ive lost
 
It seems like you're on the right track. You're stronger than I am, I'm horrible about limiting myself. Fortunately I love to cook more than I love to bake (baking is too precise for me...) so I just don't allow myself to buy snacks. Well, with the exception of lime sherbet. I'm addicted to icecream, especially since it's so hot, and this is my way around it as long as I force myself to behave. :angel:
 
WTG on the exercise! Have you tried the No Pudge brownies? They come in a variety of flavors and the 2 flavors I have tried are excellent- which reminds me, I have to go out and get some to make! Hey Penny, there are a lot of low fat versions of ice cream that I think taste very good- like the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwhiches and Slim-a-Bear low fat Klondike Bars. Keep up the good work!
 
no i havent tried them. Havent heard of them either. do you buy them online? cause i havent seen them in any stores locally i dont think
 
So today has gone pretty well. i feel awesome and NOT HUNGRY at all, or NOT CRAVING sweet stuff like i normally am.

So far ive eaten : Grilled chicken salad, 60 cal fruit pot, 1 diet soda, 3 bottles of water and im about to go have a steamed chicken microwave meal followed by a banana.

Doesnt sound alot but i got up pretty later today !

Also took my puppy on an hour long brisk walk, have done 15 mins of dancing and going to do 15mins of dancing in heels later tonight woohoo..

I love feeling this happy. Cant wait to see how much i have lost this week on tuesday!!

I need to go buy a tape measure also so i can start taking measurements.

I highly suggest the tape measure! some weeks I don't lose a single lbs, but I lose inches. I weigh everyday though, because I'm OCD and I HAVE to know if I've screwed up royally. Waiting an entire week would kill me. Keep up the good work, and I loved the part about dancing in your heels, I thought I was the only one who ever did that! One of these days my legs are going to be heel toned and other women will drool with jealousy...lol!
 
ehehe dancing in heals is so fun !

I weight myself daily and keep it in a journal, but im only going to post it on these forums weekly, because i feel it'll be a better indicator of how im doing.

As for our puppy. were not sure what he is !!! We adopted him when he was 2 months old. we THINK hes a german shepherd cross with something smaller, maybe a beagle. He weighs 25 pounds, is brown,black and tan.... has a little head with fluffy ears and is super soft. Hes so cute. When i figure out my new camera ill upload some pics :)

I'll also FINALLY upload my before pics!

No Pudge is a packaged mix that's sold in most grocery stores sometimes it's wiith the packaged cake mixes, sometimes it's in the diet food aisle - but - there's a clone recipe that's been posted here:

is the website - and the picture of the box is there - I find it helpful to know what i'm actually looking for.

But the copy cat recipe is just as good and you can keep the mix in a ziplock baggie in thefreezer and just make the single serving recipes when you need it.

yeah im 5"4 aswell my goal is also 145. I have a small frame so i could go lower, but i love having curves and boobs so somewhere around 140 is my ideal weight i think :)

okay... so im not too happy today :(

Yesterday i thought i did soooo well. Ate right, exercised loads, danced my ass off.... and i hopped on the scale today to find i put on 2lbs. i dont get it,

Alas im not going to let it get in my way, ill just carry on doing my thing and eating right. Boyfriend took me to lunch today..... i had water with a ceasar salad and half a wheat sub. not GREAT, but better than what id normally choose. I think i may do less exercise today, ill stick to the 1hour dog walk and 15 mins dancing.

Ugh. im upset. i was so hoping for a smaller number :(

So i just had a YUMMMMY dinner. I baked the fries in the recipe forum, the ones dipped in egg whites. And had them with a piece of grilled chicken thats i seasoned with dill and paprika. Those fries were so yummy !!

Took the dog on his walk earlier, it was so hot that when i got back i was a stinky sweaty faye ! But i guess sweating is good.

After my dinner has gone down im going to treat myself to a bubble bath, and give myself a body scrub... try even out a few dimples :p

Im SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about tomorrow. I have my personal Halloween challenge and septmeber challenge papers pinned up and decorated and my whiteboard all ready to keep track of my *'s and +'s during the challenge.

It seems like its going to be a busy weekend , helping 2 friends move, visiting my bfs parents house and going on a crazy shopping day courtesy of my bf :D woooooo.

Im not so upset anymore that i put on 2lbs today, i understand there may be days where you go up and down, its the overall weeks LOSS im excited to see. As long as it is a loss, which im making sure it will be, then ill be a happy bunny and on my road to a slimmer, healthier me
