Hi Faye! I like the exercise log:) Sounds good and those machines are low. you have to put your weight in and then it will be more accurate. I find this website interesting:
Hope you have a wonderful day today!

Hey Faye! Thatnks for the rep!

Don't be too hard on yourself with your dieting and exercise. Trust me, it will make you nuts. Good luck with your plans and keep me posted on your progress.

Amy

im about to go check that website out :D

Hiya fayefaye,
I seriously wouldn't think about your slip up, it happens to us all. I've had that moment many times before. Recently I found myself snacking on some cheddar goldfish and just couldn't stop! They tasted so good and i was telling myself what the hell are you doing?! but i kept going till the last crackled goldfish left the bag. It didn't mess me up too bad at the end of the week but I think that it made me want to watch what I snacked on more. If it were a bag of carrots i def wouldn't have overate on them. Anywhoo, I'm glad you're back on track!

make that 850 cals worth....i mis calculated... omg... i hate myself right now

Girl, don't worry about it. You do so well on the rest of your diet. Actually, based on what I've seen, I'm not sure you're eating enough. Strong cravings can indicate deficiencies in your diet. I know it's really hard to find a happy medium between the calories you used to eat and the calories you need to eat to maintain your future weight. Are you taking a multivitamin? Throwing stuff out isn't a bad idea if you feel you need to.
Also remember that your BMR is rising, so you're burning more calories at rest than you did when you were sedentary.
When I have a major sweet tooth I drizzle a serving of chocolate syrup (you can substitute lite syrup if you want) over a banana and eat it with a fork. It's not nearly as bad as eating a candy bar or whatever. And because I eat it with a fork I feel like its more of a treat like anything you would need a utensil for would be (cake, ice cream, etc.).

1220 may be too low for you. It's easier to stay on track if you allow yourself to eat a little. Try 1400-1500 calories and see how you feel. Also try to eat every 2-3 hours a small meal or snack. This will keep you full throughout the day and keep you from being tempted as much. It also keeps your metabolism going.

And take a multi-vitamin!!! This will help keep your energy up!

Well my aim was to have an intake about 1500 i just find it so hard hitting that without eating TOO much, like it seems my meals are just often too low cal. I try eat often, and if im feeling hungry will grab a wheat cracker , cheese stick or something similar to snack on.

Any advice on a good multi-vitamin? or are the generic store brand ones ok

Howdy store brands are good I used to take a oneaday made by krogers(store brand).Did ya get those candy apples yet they are so awesome and hard to believe they are 160 cals .Hope you have a wonderful day Tammy

There is One A Day Weight Smart Advanced or One A Day Active that you could try. I switch between the two depending on how I'm feeling. The Weight Smart Advanced gives you a little more energy. Grab some fitness magazines like Oxygen or Muscle and Fitness Hers. These will have tons of workouts, recipes, and meal plans to help you get the proper amount of calories and nutrition. My dietician told me to split my calories into 3 categories. Fat, carbs, and protein. For example, if you have 1500 calories a day, 33% of your total calories needs to consist of protein, 33% of carbs, and 33% of fat. Fitday.com will break down what you eat into the percentages. Go to the site and put one day's eating log in there and see how you are doing. You may need to change up what you eat at each meal and snack.

wow, thats alot of fat, 33%! I get a multi vit from my doc, can't remember the name of it. I also like Self and fitness magazine, they have great meal plans that you can tweak and excercises that use minimal equipment.

It's about 45 grams of fat a day. Which is a healthy amount to have.
