Burlesque Babe

Thanks. I keep hopping around from having good days, then having bad days. Still fighting though and that's the good thing. I'm hoping that if I keep my eyes on the prize and keep fighting that eventually I will win!

Hey everyone. Still struggling along trying to get back to track. Not fitting into some of my clothes well anymore. :(
Gotta get back on track!

Mystic as long as you aren't giving up you'll get somewhere... the good days between the bad will at least slow down any gains. It's when you have bad days on bad days that it starts to snowball into a pretty full on weight gain!

I'm sure you'll get there again, maybe read back through some older parts of your journal to find the inspiration/ motivation you had before. See how far you've come etc. It usually helps me!

Try not to pressure yourself too much. Just relax and get back down to business and ignore anything that seems like a setback. You've still done fantastic, so just be proud of that and get back on track.

A couple of Saturdays ago, my friend had just broken up with his girlfriend and we had a golf date early in the morning. We spent the whole day with him. Had our first beer at around the fourth hole at around 8:30 am. At the end of the day when I got home around midnight, I counted up every beer and for the day had the equivalent of 17 twelve ounce beers during the day (and food to go with). Not good for the diet. Messed up my weigh ins for a week. These things happen.

But I hate seeing the frowny faces. :D Shrug your shoulders, smile and move on and back into gear.

Thanks guys! I'm fairly certain I am ready to get back on track! I was getting so close and now I have to regain some ground but I know what has to happen and what works best for me. I just need to struggle and push past these cravings for 2 weeks and I should be able to get back on track! These next 2 weeks will be torture though!

Thanks luz. Can't say I am doing great. I probably weigh nearly 160 right now, too afraid to step on the scale. I got sick last Friday and that's given me an excuse to eat bad. Still trying to fight my way back. I've put myself on a budget as I'm taking over more horse expenses and I'm going through my 'entertainment/eating out money' crazy fast so I like a week I won't be able to eat out! Haha. Gotta get back on track now!

I'm going to guess you're probably not 160 (at least not really).

Last Friday between the margaritas, the beers and then the whiskey (a very bad idea), I was left with no choice but to defend myself at 1:30am at the International House of Pancakes. Not sure how many calories I consumed that day, but if it started with a '4', I wouldn't be shocked. These things happen.

String a week or two of mostly good days together and you'll be right back on track.

Yea I agree with MrVee, if you've been eating a suddenly increased amount of food even if you weigh that much I'd bet at least 5lbs would be water (I've gained as much as 7lbs after one heavy day that disappeared over a week). Get several good days happening in a row and a lot of it will disappear.

Also maybe you are putting too much pressure on yourself- maybe even try to reduce calories slowly again, eat only a few hundred under your maintenance for a week or even two so you feel in control again before trying to reduce more.

Thanks guys. I've been sick for the last 2+ weeks but really really want to get back on track. I feel so awful and bloated most of the time!! Tomorrow I will eat within my cals!

Howdy everyone! As you can guess from my absence, things have not been going well for me in terms if diet and exercise. I'm very close to my heaviest again which totally sucks monkey balls. Grr. I just saw pics I took of me at my skinniest and can't believe how awesome I looked compared to now. I pray I'm ready to get back to it!
I'm on a very strict budget food wise (and every where really ) so it should hopefully actually help a bit as I won't be wasting money on eating out or chocolate, but it's still amazing how you can over eat on almost anything!
It's super late right now and I need to sleep but I'll come on tomorrow and talk a bit more. So glad (and jealous)to see so many familiar faces still on here and doing a great job!

Hi Ladies and Gents. So not off to the best start. I'm sick again so spending a ton of time at home not doing anything which fosters less than great eating, though I don't think I have been horrendous. Hoping to feel decent enough tomorrow to go and ride. I am gonna try to get around to other people diaries tomorrow so I can see how everyone is doing !
