Burlesque Babe

THanks guys. I have no children to blame for my mess (thankfully haha, me and kids don't get along).
Today I was under my 1500 cals by about 36. I made "chili" today, (probably was not really chili haha, just ground turkey, salsa, pasta sauce, hot sauce, salt and pepper) as well as white chocolate chip cookies. They were so good!! So was the 'chili'.
Went and rode my horse. He had a bit of stocking up (fluid) in his hind legs which was a bit weird, gonna have to keep an eye on that. He was good though, though I think his hind legs didn't feel 100% cause of the stocking up.

I think the 130s are coming very very soon. Keep up all the great work.

I think if you can do good during the harsh winters, you probably will do great during the summers. I'm sort of going the opposite way now in that when it gets to June and it's 110 degrees out, it's gonna be hard to want to go out and active.

I remember back in Chicago it was just a pain trying to be active when it was so damned cold all the time. You never wanted to leave the house if you didn't have to.

Hey, I had to skip reading your lunch - it sounded toooo yummy - and I am still on my first lemon water today lol!
I hope that your horse's leg is gonna be fine! x

Thanks guys. I can't WAIT for the warm weather!!
Ate under my 1500 calories today. Went and saw my horse. His legs are still stocked up, and he was lacking energy. It seems he has caught a virus of some sort. Gonna keep him in light work as the work should help his legs and give him more mental stimulation.
Still haven't exchanged that book. Wanted to do it today but was hoping to get off work a bit earlier. Tomorrow is really slow at work so hoping to get off early enough to do that. Also wanting to get a new bed set. Having my dog sleep in the bed with me after running around in the muck and mud of the barn makes my sheets and stuff NASTY!! Haha

I love horses--hope yours feels better soon. Also holding out for warm weather--Although don't think we ever get any in England!!

Great work, Mystic! Eww! muddy dog feet in bed.... I make everyone wipe our dog's paws when she comes in because she always tracks in mud.

Thanks guys. Just stopping in to say that the last 2 days the scale has gone UP!!! I am nearly out of the 130's and if I continue this trend I again won't make my mini goal!! I don't understand why it's going up! The only thing I am hoping it is is that my stomach has been a tich upset and maybe if I'd been able to 'go' then I would have been back to the weight I was earlier this week. Crossing fingers my stomach is not upset tomorrow and that I weigh what I should weigh, though even if I weigh what I appeared to weigh in the days before I started to go up that still is hardly a loss! For the past 2 official weigh ins I was 140.4 and 140.2 and I hit the 130's the day after my 2nd last weigh in, so I thought that last weigh in I should easily be in the 130's, but then I had TOM and my weight went back into the 140's, so I thought that once TOM was over I should actually be showing 2 weeks worth of loss this week. Instead it seems I will barely have lost 0.6 pounds if I weigh the same tomorrow as I did today. Barely half a pound of loss over 2 weeks is definitely not what I want to see. I know I am getting close-ish to my goal but I should still be losing half a pound a week most weeks and for the last 6 weeks my weight loss has almost been at a stand still.

Having a good day calorie wise. Should be at or under my 1500 calories.
Had a terribly slow day at work today. Only one dog for the whole day when normally I do 7. I was able to get off work around 2, and since I got off later than I thought yesterday and didn't do the running around I wanted to do, I did it today. Went and bought myself new bed set (sheets, pillow covers, duvet cover), MAN those things are expensive!
I then went and exchanged that middle aged weight lifting book I accidentally bought, but decided to buy 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30 instead. I have seen some good results with it so gonna give it a try. For these DVD's I needed to buy a set of hand weights, so I went to a fitness store. Nearly walked out of there with nothing cause the service was so horrible. Walk in and the guy asks what I'm looking for and I say hand weights, he points me in the direction of them and states "this rack has as light as 3 pounds and goes to 12 pounds" As if I could only be capable of lifting those small light weights. I rarely need to go below 15 pounds when lifting weights, except a few arm exercises. However, due to the DVD's I'm using it looks like using not overly heavy weights is what it needs, so I did go with the 10 pound weights. Anyways so as soon as he directs me to the weights, he walks back over to the cash register area and I can see him texting away on his phone. There are no prices posted anywhere so I ask him how much they were. He doesn't come over, he talks to me from his desk, through the equipment (squat rack or something), and tells me they are $1.50 a pound (Had no idea dumbbells were sold by weight). I ask 'are they sold separately or as a pair?' He still stays at his desk and says 'pair'. So I'm figuring this out in my head and I'm like ok so 10 X 1.50 is 15 dollars. But then I was like wait, or is it 20 X 1.50 since they are sold in pairs. So I call over to him again and say "maybe I am dense but is that 10 X 1.50 or since it's a pair is it 20 X 1.50?" He stays at his desk and says "well, since 10 X1.50 is 15 and you're getting 2 it's 30 dollars". Now, I don't like being harassed constantly by sales people, but after the first couple questions I yelled over, maybe a sales person should think that I might need some help. So I nearly didn't want to support them by buying something but I had no idea where else you can buy dumbbells.
Gonna start 30 Day Shred tomorrow after my weigh in, no matter how poorly I expect my weigh in to go. Hoping to get some good results!

Hey sweetie - what awful customer service! It could be annoying!! Ugh! We had something similar yesterday - at a place where they usually really good. So frustrating!
Anyway I love shopping!! (when it's not for clothes! YET) so i try not to be bothered by bad customer service - i dont want them to ruin my experience.

I hope you have a happy scale day soon!

Thank you!

Well, a decent weigh in today. Not what I hoped since I saw this number the day after weigh in for the last 2 weeks. I really thought I'd have a good drop. Oh well, it's still going in the right direction and I am OFFICIALLY in the 130's!!! Yay! Really hoping my new workout will boost things a bit more.

tarting Weight: 168lb (Original Weight from a few years ago, my heaviest)
Current Weight: 139.6 lb
Mini Goal: 155lb by October 27th *MADE MINI GOAL Oct 19th*
Mini Goal: 150 lb by November 15th *MADE MINI GOAL Nov 9th*
Mini Goal: 145 lb By Dec 7th *Didn't make it* New Date: March 1 *MADE MINI GOAL Feb 22nd*
Mini Goal: 140 lb By April 5th *Didn't make it* *MADE MINI GOAL APRIL 19th*
New Mini Goal: 135 lb by July 12th
Final Goal: 128lb

Had forgot to add a new mini goal. I almost didn't want to go in a 5 pound increment and yet I like the consistency of it so 5 pounds is what I am gonna do. I set it so I am losing 0.5 pounds a week, plus I added a couple weeks for weeks where I stay the same, or don't lose 0.5 pounds. It seems SO far off (3 months away) to lose 5 measly pounds but I know I am getting close to my goal and things will get harder as they go!

Within my 1800 calories.
Got hit with some really bad news today. May be having to give up my horseback riding and it's killing me. My life is crap as it is with my family so to lose my riding would be devastating for me. :(

On a more positive note, even after that devastating news not only did I stay in my calories, but I got in a lot of exercise. I went and rode my horse (his legs are looking better and his energy is coming back), then came back and did my first day of 30 Day Shred! Some parts were hard (and some parts my 10 pound weights were too heavy which I was a bit shocked by, had to grab some cans of soup haha), but some parts were easier than I thought. The cardio wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, however this is just level 1, they get harder as they go. I do definitely feel my muscles really worked, because some of my exercise came from cleaning my house. I finished off cleaning my room and my bathroom, then I was putting some clothes away I could feel my muscles shaking from my workout. My challenge to myself is to do the 30 Day Shred video everyday for the 30 days. Probably do Level 1 for 10 days, Level 2 for 10 days, and Level 3 for 10 days, unless it feels too easy to stay at one level, then I might move up faster. Will have to see.

THanks.
Wow, the stress from today, as well as that workout DVD has zonked me right out. I am feeling slightly sick forcing myself to stay awake right now and it's only 11:30!! I am up this late nearly every night, and usually much later on weekends (like 1-2am). Gonna give in to it and hit the hay. Planning to be up and doing my DVD at about 10 tomorrow morning.

You're doing great! Keep up the great work!

P.S: What breed of horse do you have? A long time ago I used to go horseback riding and my favorite was this 5 hands Arabian, beautiful dark bay with a white blaze. :)

Thanks guys.
My horse is a Canadian Sport Horse (he's half hanoverian, 1/4 Thoroughbred, 1/4 Arab).
Did 30 Day Shred this morning. My muscles are definitely stiff, legs/butt/arms/shoulders/chest. It maybe felt a bit harder today thanks to my muscles being a bit stiff and sore. It's nice that it's so short as it's much nicer to think 'hey just 20 or so minutes, I can do that!) Rather than p90x or insanity where it's like 'oh, a full hour or more, yuck' haha. It will be interesting to see what results I get. Scale was down slightly this morning so that's a good sign!

Just a quick pop in to say I was under 2000 calories today. Which means that I could technically eat nearly 3500 calories tomorrow and still be under my weekly goal (if I was eating back exercise calories anyways, without eating them back I'd probably have 2800 or so)
