Having a good day calorie wise. Should be at or under my 1500 calories.
Had a terribly slow day at work today. Only one dog for the whole day when normally I do 7. I was able to get off work around 2, and since I got off later than I thought yesterday and didn't do the running around I wanted to do, I did it today. Went and bought myself new bed set (sheets, pillow covers, duvet cover), MAN those things are expensive!
I then went and exchanged that middle aged weight lifting book I accidentally bought, but decided to buy 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30 instead. I have seen some good results with it so gonna give it a try. For these DVD's I needed to buy a set of hand weights, so I went to a fitness store. Nearly walked out of there with nothing cause the service was so horrible. Walk in and the guy asks what I'm looking for and I say hand weights, he points me in the direction of them and states "this rack has as light as 3 pounds and goes to 12 pounds" As if I could only be capable of lifting those small light weights. I rarely need to go below 15 pounds when lifting weights, except a few arm exercises. However, due to the DVD's I'm using it looks like using not overly heavy weights is what it needs, so I did go with the 10 pound weights. Anyways so as soon as he directs me to the weights, he walks back over to the cash register area and I can see him texting away on his phone. There are no prices posted anywhere so I ask him how much they were. He doesn't come over, he talks to me from his desk, through the equipment (squat rack or something), and tells me they are $1.50 a pound (Had no idea dumbbells were sold by weight). I ask 'are they sold separately or as a pair?' He still stays at his desk and says 'pair'. So I'm figuring this out in my head and I'm like ok so 10 X 1.50 is 15 dollars. But then I was like wait, or is it 20 X 1.50 since they are sold in pairs. So I call over to him again and say "maybe I am dense but is that 10 X 1.50 or since it's a pair is it 20 X 1.50?" He stays at his desk and says "well, since 10 X1.50 is 15 and you're getting 2 it's 30 dollars". Now, I don't like being harassed constantly by sales people, but after the first couple questions I yelled over, maybe a sales person should think that I might need some help. So I nearly didn't want to support them by buying something but I had no idea where else you can buy dumbbells.
Gonna start 30 Day Shred tomorrow after my weigh in, no matter how poorly I expect my weigh in to go. Hoping to get some good results!
