Today has been ok. I ran on the treadmill and went about 5 miles (accidentally hit the power button near the end of my session so I lost all the numbers), and burnt about 750 calories. Ate well today though gave into a craving and had some cream cheese my parents had in their fridge. Though I still have enough calories left for my smoothie later this evening.

Hey Mystic - don't worry too much about falling off the wagon--

-

... just follow your own great advice you gave me...

"As long as you get right back on track, no harm no foul!" .

.....we are all human - and life isn't perfect- road-blocks come along- just part of the trail... trick is to get back on ... keep up your great work gal - U are getting so close to goal....

Thanks!

Today has been a pretty good day so far.

Had an egg white, cheese, and turkey omelet for breakfast

Had my usual mini pita sandwiches for lunch

Snack while driving to the barn was one of my scones

Tried a new chicken recipe, it didn't look right and I made a couple of mistakes with the recipe but it tasted pretty good

And now had a snack of one of my muffins

I still have room yet for my smoothie (which I make thick and eat with a teaspoon in a bowl to make it last as long as possible!!)

No exercise today, and probably won't exercise Friday but will do the rest of the days for 5 days this week.

Ate just a hair over my goal today, as after my smoothie I was feeling a bit hungry so I took my iogo yogurt (I am not a huge yogurt person but this stuff is good and only 35 calories per half cup!) and half a cup frozen raspberries, and a packet of splenda and WOW it was SO good! I think I like it even MORE than the smoothies even though they are made nearly of the same thing (smoothie has half a cup milk) because I love biting into the whole frozen raspberries! Yum Yum. Next time I will have a whole cup iogo, and a whole cup raspberries which will only be 140 calories for 2 whole cups of yummy!

Today at half a but each it was only 70 calories!

Hey Mystic - the frozen fruit + yogurt sounds like a terrific snack ( I like both...so will be putting this one on my snak list:p)...& the fibre in the whole-berries likely lot more filling than the blended smoothie...

Good work on the good day , and keep it going girl ...

..I'll be away next week or so ... but wishing you lots of good choices... U are on a Roll !!

cheers,

maryann C.

Thanks. Yogurt and frozen fruit is definitely a new favorite!

Well, I was at it again! Tried a new recipe!! Pizza Muffins!! Why is everything better in Muffin form?!

Only 60 calories for a full sized muffin!!

Hehe I have an obsession with making everything into pizza! Must be the same kind of thing with you and muffins. What is in them that they are only 60 cals??

Haha, I based my muffins off this recipe but took some stuff out, changed some stuff cause I am picky and I didn't have mini cupcake tins.

Looks yummy. Maybe a touch carb heavy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, particularly if you're looking for some quick energy before a workout. Been keep meaning to try Luz's mudballs thing but have been busy. Also my kitchen has now been destroyed by my pumpkin pie efforts. Going to get FEMA down here to survey the damage some time next week.

When that's all settled, maybe I'll try these.

Ya, carbs are my bestest friend!! I wuv them haha. TOO much!!

Had a good day today. Ate well, had an "open faced' grilled turkey and cheese sandwich, haha. And my yogurt and frozen raspberries! Yum!

So the elevator in my apartment didn't work yesterday so I was like 'ok, the stairs should be easy with all the exercising I have been doing!' NOT!! I have never been friends with stairs but I though that it would make SOME difference after working out for 2 months!! So guess what got added into my exercise routine?! Yup, stairs! Today I walked up SIXTY flights of stairs (aka. I went from the 2 parkade/basment level, to my 4th level floor (6 flights of stairs) up and down 10 times each direction!!!) Phew! I then went and did the treadmill for 30 mins. 9 min intervals at 5.5 and the last 2 minutes at 7.5.

Not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. I don't feel like I look like I lost anything this week, and it's TOM, and I was UP last week so... ya. Not gonna be good.

Ooooo, stairs. That's quite brave of you! And you probably won't need to add squats to your lifting regime when that gets going!

I hear ya on the smiling thing, my MIL gets upset when she can't get a picture of me smiling, and even more so when someone else DOES. Difference is: that someone else has capture a moment, where as she mumbles over her camera for 10 seconds - not a great source of pleasure for someone who hates having his picture taken!

Good luck on your weigh-in!!

Thanks.

So I did manage to go down this week. Just a pound. Which means in the last 2 weeks I have only lost one pound. :( Really need a big lose next week!

Starting Weight: 168lb (Original Weight from a few years ago, my heaviest)

Current Weight: 148.4lb

Mini Goal: 155lb by October 27th *MADE MINI GOAL Oct 19th*

Mini Goal: 150 lb by November 15th *MADE MINI GOAL Nov 9th*

New Mini Goal: 145 By Dec 7th

Final Goal: 128lb

Thanks, ya it's not so bad. If I take my weight loss to date and divide it by the number of weeks I have been working on it I have been lost about 1.8 pounds a week and since I was not crazy overweight that's not so bad.

I am so incredibly full! But still stayed right around where I wanted to be calorie wise. I accidentally went 100 calories over thanks to my wonderful math skills making me think what I was making was less than it actually was but still close. Day off exercise today, but did ride my horse.

Thanks. Today was again not a great day. I did leave myself 500 calories cause I knew I was hanging with friends in the evening and there would be snacks and I was making cupcakes (for the first time ever, they didn't look at all like they were supposed to but they tasted quite good!). But I used the 'I'm hungry' excuse too much and ate a lot. I would say probably atleast around 800 calories which puts me over again by about 300. But I think so far this is my least bad eating weekend in the past few so I guess I will take it. I did attempt to do a bit of weights today and I ran 30 mins at a speed of 6mph in 4 min intervals and went 2.74 miles.

Meeting a good friend of mine who's done kinesiology and such programs and he's gonna show me some weight training stuff and I also got a work out program from bodybuilder.com to try out if I want!

Hello :)

thanks for stopping by my diary - I can use all the luck I can get! I will measure eventually - before Christmas. But not just yet, I know I'll get too obsessed if nothing much moves from day to day ...

20 pounds lost already, congrats! I've grown up in Europe, but you know, there's still sooooooooooooo much to see, so many places I haven't been. It's worth taking some time here to explore. Never been to Canada yet though... it's on the list, my best friend's favourite place on the planet :)

See you around, and best of luck with your efforts!

Good on ya for getting the weights started! (can you tell I like lifting?). Don't fret the occasional over-run, but if you're finding yourself doing it too much, it might be worth doing a few days of bad eating. I've done that in the past, and was able to quickly lose what I'd gained, and then some. That was a good confidence-booster, too.

Certainly sounds like you're getting in good shape and if that happens the weight should ultimately take care of itself.
