Burlesque Babe

Um, YUM! I am right now trying to figure out a grain free dough recipe so I can make perogies. They look awesome!!!! Your food is looking good too, yay!

Does your horse trailer well? Is he also ok in new environments? I used to ride saddlebreds. Most of them are batshit and lose it if the wind blows the wrong way. :p

Yes, my boy trailers quite well. He was a touch excited just cause he got on a trailer to move on Saturday, then was getting on the trailer again today (and again on the weekend!), but still was good.
He's also pretty chill about new places as he's been a show horse for me for the 4 years I've had him (though the last 2 years I haven't shown a lot). Even at the place we schooled today. They tried to make it extra spooky for good practice but he was pretty relaxed about everything (though jumped a couple a little bigger than needed).
My first solo trailering went well today, and my horse was super to school. Especially the last course we did.
Ate pretty good today. Had a salmon sandwich for lunch (prob around 500 cals) then had perogies for supper (I think on the high side this would probably be around 1000 cals). I did end up having a can of pop (I was at my mom's, I don't have pop at my house) which is 150 cals so ended the day probably around 1600-1700 which is perfectly fine cals for me.
Work has been far too slow lately. The girl that works for me is usually fairly happy with not working, but I guess things have been slow enough lately that she's becoming unhappy with it. I of course wish we were busier too, but my shop is in no danger of ME quitting. My groomer? Possibly another story. Hope we pick up soon!

My scale showed good things today. I had been up a little bit after the weekend due to sodium, but am not back down to what I was Saturday (which was less than what I was Friday by over 2 pounds I think). I think I should have a decent weigh in as long as I don't eat a lot of sodium.
Today so far is going well eating wise. I had made myself tuna mixed with miracle whip to have a in a pita for lunch today, but my miracle whip was old and I think it tasted old. So I asked my mom to bring me an apple so I could have an apple with peanut butter for lunch. Was done work early due to being slow, so rode and got back home by 2:30. Often this would make me want to eat being home and relaxing so early, but I nicely held off till dinner. Made myself salmon with cream cheese, and mashed potatoes for supper. I'm currently chilling some Jello I just made to have for a snack around 8. I still need to get in more veggies and protein I know. If I wasn't showing this weekend I would get together with my mom and make a few meals in large portions to have frozen in my freezer. I would make probably a couple soups as that's the easiest way to get veggies in that I otherwise wouldn't eat. Maybe the next weekend.
As I predicted, my groomer gave her notice today. Sigh. Back to 6 day work weeks for me till we can find a replacement.

Ug. Was looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in till today. Gave in to some temptations.
Had a bagel around 11:30. Got home from the barn/stuff at around 2:30 ish and was feeling very craving-y. I had some jello, still wasn't satisfied so I had 2 bagels with peanut butter! Then went to a friend's house and she ordered in pizza so I had 2 big pieces of pizza and a can of pepsi. I wouldn't really feel all that bad about one not so great day, but I don't like giving in to my cravings, and it was the day before weigh in so now the scale won't read true. Also, tomorrow my bro and his family are coming in to town and want to go to a wing place, and I have a horse show this weekend which could try to put me off track! Ah!

Decent weigh in today. Was up a bit due to the pizza but not by a ton.

Starting weight: 168
Current weight: 162.6
Mini Goal Weight: 156 by Feb 28

So down 1.6 pounds.
Today definitely wasn't the best day eating wise either. Went out for lunch with family to a chicken wing restaurant (and had pop too), was at the show riding and getting ready till 8:15, had 2 cookies at the show when I realized I was starving. On my drive home I picked up Tim Hortons, a sandwich, a pepsi, and 2 donuts. However I have not eaten the 2nd donut. The only good thing about having a pop as you eat is it makes you feel full (and gassy/burpy).
Gonna try and be better tomorrow about eating, though I really don't have much of anything in my house to take with me. I think my mayo is old so no tuna sandwich, no microwave at the show so anything I have to warm up is out. I have no meat in my house currently, but I don't want to spend money at the show for food either. Will take along a couple granola bars maybe. Hmmm... I just cannot fall off track again due to shows.

Had a better day today eating wise.
Had a small home made muffin, and a couple after eights throughout the day at the show. Went to Edo Japan for supper and had the noodles and chicken, and a coke (gotta stop with the pop! good thing I don't keep it at my house). My guess is that I finished up around 1500 or so. Last day of the show tomorrow.

I think I did pretty well today cals wise. Not the healthiest, but cals I think were ok
Had an egg burger (like they have at mcdicks) for breakfast. Had a couple after 8's during the day. Went to my mom's after the show was over for waffles. I would guess that max I ate 1500 I think.
For anyone interested I had a good show. Still working the kinks out but I was happy. Here is a video of one of our rounds.

Wanted to add that I tried on a pair of breeches for the show that I hadn't been able to wear a few weeks back and they fit! I still get a bit of fat rolls over the edge unfortunately, but hopefully those will go away in not too long.

Thanks for the video, Mystic. You look sharp in your riding digs!
Great job on being consistent with the calories lately. Over 5 lbs lost. Awesome!

Yay for the breeches!

I meant to ask what style you ride. You might have said so before, but it slips my mind at the moment.

Thanks. I'm a jumper (there should be a video on the last page from my show this weekend.
I ate well today. I need to go grocery shopping as I don't have much to take for lunches and running out of supper stuff too. Just had granola bars (and stole a pepperoni stick from my mom) for lunch, had some popcorn when I got home, then mashed potatoes and salmon for supper.
Tomorrow I probably just have granola bars for lunch (or maybe a KD bowl, the kind you just add water to), then I'm gonna have pasta I think for supper, or maybe egg burgers.
Had a very busy day at work, but got all 8 dogs done in time. No riding today as he gets the day off after the horse show.

Horse is beautiful

As for the pierogi, having grown up in the city with the 2nd largest Polish speaking population in the world behind Warsaw, I'm all too familiar with them.

Thanks.
Was doing totally fine today till about 10pm. I then gave in and had jello, 2 granola bars, and a bagel w/ butter. Probably finished up right around maintenance. Not horrid, but still, I don't like giving in to cravings.
And now I will probably have a heck of a time falling asleep eating so much so late.

Haven't had the best couple of days (actually I think it's more like 3 days) and I don't imagine I'll love what the scale has to say, but hopefully it will motivate me to get back on track. Though it'd actually be more motivating if I got lucky enough to see a 'good' number, to think I hadn't lost any time with these last few days and I can keep on working it off. We'll see tomorrow morning I guess.
I desperately need to go grocery shopping, but I suppose it was a good thing I didn't go these last couple days as I don't think I would have made great choices in what I brought home.

Ugh. Haven't done great lately. Currently I am sick with something, which is slight motivation to get back on track with my weight loss. Since I haven't had a big appetite and am going to the bathroom... frequently (if ya know what I mean... ew) when I weighed in this morning I had no excess water weight built up so was much lower that I 'should' have been which meant I ended last month (though weigh in was a couple days late) on a loss. Having a loss when things haven't been going great just makes you feel like you didn't waste all that time eating well and you're right back where you started so why even try! I'm hoping I will hop back on the train and that it will be one of them super fast japanese trains!

Glad to see you back.

Obviously for all of us getting where we want to be is a long haul type of process, so no reason to get too caught up in what's gone on the last few months (particularly since you're quite young). Sometimes taking a deep breath and relaxing can help you to refocus and get a little more consistent on doing what you deep down really want to do.

You've been doing pretty good Mystic! Great horse by the way :)

Glad you have been losing weight but hope you feel better soon! No good being sick.

Thanks guys. Weighed in when I got back home from the barn today and I was under 160! Hope I an keep that (or a bit lower) for my weigh in on Friday! So far I'm doing well eating wise today. Feeling a bit better too. Will try to make rounds yet today to other people's diaries.
