Brawny's time machine

I've dropped 34lbs now and not a single person who didn't already know about my dieting has mentioned seeing any difference in me.
Are they people you see daily? Don't worry about that, they'll suddenly see it one day, might be thinking to themselves "Has he lost weight?" Also, if they're guys, they don't notice or care. I speak from a guy's perspective.

Brawny, great to see your progress!

So I added push ups to my routine today...well actually I fell on my face and I had to use my arms to get up!
That Counts Right?

That Counts Right?
Of course it does!
Well done on an excellent September brawny! I think I will set myself some October goals & keep them to myself until the end of October. I like the idea of that.
I found when I lost 36kg in 6 months, back in 2007, the people who saw me every day hardly noticed, but it was the people who hadn't seen me for ages who really noticed. A few didn't recognise me. Men rarely said anything about it.
Slow & steady is really frustrating, but definitely is the right way to go. It establishes good habits & puts less stress on your body. It's really good to see you back in here, moving towards where you want to be.

Sun has riz
Sun has set

Way to go, man. Welcome to the 200 club. :p

I imagine you did something like this after looking at the scale:

Thank you my friends..Yep it was a good site to see on that nasty device known as the scale.
I enjoyed it for about an hour and then I started worrying about the dreaded bounce back ( I know pretty pitiful right.) I want to really focus in this week and put more than .8 lb between me and 300lb. A little wiggle room if you will. But enough of my mental neurosis.
Happy things:
1. Goal of losing 10lb...done
2. Goal of gettin below 300...done
3. Goal of riding 100 miles on bike in Sept....done
4. Goal of no fast food for 100 days...In progress
5. Next goal...295
The saga continues
By the way I just did 32 minutes and 8.17 miles on the bike. It should cool down here soon and I can add some walking to my exercise which will be good because that bike seat is making my butt hurt.

299!! Awesome!

I hate riding bikes for that reasons. I don't know how people get over it. Does your butt just get used to it? It's seriously painful... or maybe my butt is just delicate? I don't know...but it hurts really bad. haha!

My bike has a gel-cushioned skirt saddle, which is to say it lacks the pointy bit in front. Makes biking more strenuous but it´s sooo much better for my vital organs :p Congrats on crossing the 300-border!

Sunday was bad...very bad...ate like 1000 calories too much...ugh felt terrible
Today...much better, back on track 1400 calories and 40 minutes on the bike.
Just gotta keep going
Press hard press forward
I took one step back. Now I gotta take five forward.

report o the day thus far
Calories are great so far. Sitting at 1050 right now.I just had dinner
Came up with a new dish that was really good.
Here is what I did...
I sprayed a non stick pan with canola oil spray. Then I grated in a very small potato. It was like 1/3 of the size of a baking potato. (I figure 70-80 calories) then I added like 1/8 of a purple onion and 1/4 of a bell pepper diced. I also diced up about 1/4 of a grilled chicken breast I had in the fridge. I cooked that for a while, sprayed just a bit more oil on it to make sure the potato got a bit brown. Then I cracked in 2 eggs and added about an ounce of shredded cheddar cheese. It was very big and only about 400 calories which for me is a nice dinner. I still have enough calories left for a small bowl of bran flakes later but now I am gonna get in some walking

That sounds just like what I put into hobo meals except I use beef instead of chicken. I usually wrap it in foil and throw it on some hot coals for about 30 minutes:

Mowens- looks yummy I remember cooking like that back in my scouting days!

Ok mini rant to self...here goes
So I talked to my oldest sister yesterday. she is 61 which is 9 years older than me.
She has always been heavy and sedentary.
She has lost 90 % of her sight to diabetes.
She has had problems with sores on her feet and legs that won't heal due to diabetes.
Today she started having to use a walker thing just to get around.
She is only 61 years old! I doubt she makes it to 65.
I bought her a stationary bike a few years ago. She used it once and sold it a short time later.
If I don't watch it...this is my future as well.
I walked for 35 minutes tonight
Calories for the day were 1650
Do or die...that's what I am faced with
I choose do
