Ive posted this before but its a good thing to think about
There are many things besides food that I enjoy
Non caloric things I love:
Coffee (I take mine black and staight up)
Fireplace fires
Things made out of leather or wood or cotton (I know this is random)
Having lots of friends but only a few really really good friends
A warm bed on a cold morning
A new book to read and lots of time to do it
Teamwork
Humor
Guitars and watching my sons start to love them too
Music…all kinds…well almost all kinds
Old beat up barns (they don’t get any more beat up than mine)
Good dogs (these fall into the few really good friends category mentioned above)

Lots of good things to enjoy that are not FOOD!

Exercised twice yesterday!
Ate pretty good too
I have been mostly on plan for 10 days now.
Surely I will see scale movement by weigh in tomorrow.

Nice to hear from ya again.
Well I did something today that I havent done in 6 months...I exercised twice. Just did 20 minutes on the bike.
Also had the day off and cut some firewood........feelin pretty manly right now.

Nice work Brawny! Keep it up! Two workouts is great! I like to do a morning and after work workout but don't always get around to it. Thanks for visiting my diary and saying such nice things! Always glad to have another vistior. I really like fires in a fireplace and warm beds in the morning too! Wish I was by either right now!

Support can be beautiful

I did not like my weigh in this morning. Only lost half a stinkin pound...So....I just rode that exercise bike for an hour...17.07 miles...I just gotta make something happen. Sometimes the ol body can sure hang on to those pounds kinda jealously...I cant quit when Ive just got started again...its just takin a little longer to see good numbers. I am determined to ramp it up till I see downward scale movement. I am getting in better shape....thats one plus.....half a pound...CRAP
 
One of those weekends...Food put in front of me everywhere! Went to Mrs Brawny's company Christmas Party at a nice hotel in Dallas, then yesterday it was my oldest's 14th birthday and he wanted to go to the fried catfish place....sigh....back on the bike today. I will weigh in wed and see if I am back on track.
Just gotta get right back on the horse that threw ya.
 
Never give up and never see anything as less than a challenge! The places with bad food are super tempting, just try to make the healthiest choices possible, even if you do throw a little somethin extra in there. Half a pound is better than gaining it, yeah?

That is sage advice. You know it isnt rocket science, you just gotta expend more than you take in....I can do that with my check book. Why cant I do it with my calories? (ha)
I was back on the bike this morning and I plan to put in one more workout this evening. If I dont see a loss on the scale in a day or two I am gonna take my calories down from 1800 to 1500 for a while (easier said than done but I am not going to quit)...I aint no quitter

What a week!
Had an event every night this week...
Slows ya down
Will weigh in and see where I stand in the morning.
After tomorrow I am off for 2 weeks!
 
Hi Brawny, it can be hard to fit in exercise, can't it? Even if I don't have time for a proper workout, I'm making sure I do something small like running up and down the stairs 5 times each day...
 
Thats true....just moving around a lot. I have been trying to get out and walk my campuses every day. If Im not careful i spend too much time sitting at my desk. I swear that makes me more tired than when I move around for the day.
 
Well don't beat yourself up too much if you don't lose any weight this month. The holiday season makes it almost impossible. You'd almost have to completely isolate yourself from the rest of the world. LOL

Just stick with the exercising, then when Jan 2nd hits, start being very strict with your diet too.
