Heck, you gots 279 no problemo! :D Good to see you back. I never left. Still here after 2 years. I got pretty depressed last year but still posted about once a week or maybe a few times a month at worst.

Diet is everything in terms of losing weight. Just remember that.

Im glad there are still a few folks I know on here Derrick.
I really do think checking in on here helps me. I can remember when I was on a real roll and I would get a good loss on the scale, I couldnt wait to report it on here. Somehow I just wondered away. Maybe I will learn from that.

Here something I posted when I first started It helps me re focus

Non caloric things I love:
Coffee (I take mine black and staight up)
Fireplace fires
Things made out of leather or wood or cotton (I know this is random)
Having lots of friends but only a few really really good friends
A warm bed on a cold morning
A new book to read and lots of time to do it
Teamwork
Humor
Guitars and watching my sons start to love them too
Music…all kinds…well almost all kinds
Old beat up barns (they don’t get any more beat up than mine)
Good dogs (these fall into the few really good friends category mentioned above)
Kneeboarding (havent done it in about 5 years but if Im fit enough by summer....)
Sunsets (especially from this one special spot at the lake)
My kids laughter

Lots of good things to enjoy that are not FOOD

Brawny!!!! :jump:!!! I'm so glad you are BACK!!! :D!!! :hurray:...and doing GREAT at that!!!

You really are doing the damn thing! I was just talking to Ivette on the phone right now and telling her, "Hey guess who is back on the forum!? Our amigo, Brawny!!" She got excited!! She asked me what you were up to, and how was your weight loss going? I told her that you were doing GREAT! That you had mentioned going up a bit but smashing right back down and on track for the LOWEST in 13 years!! She was really excited for you!!! ...then she started laughing and said... "I need to go back on there! Update everyone and my TICKER that I gained all my weight back after surgery and back at square one! Hoorayyyy!" She's a crazy one I tell you! Love the girl!

Motivate her to come back Brawny!!! We can all use some accountability here!! :grouphug: Glad you are doing SO AMAZING!!!!

Love the list as well!!! This is what we should all refer to! :)

Hey Brawny! So I really liked all your support in my Diary so I figured I would check yours out and return the favor! I read back a little ways and saw your most recent posts as well! I think that youre doing great and on the right track! Everyone falls off the wagon at 1 point even if just for a second but it looks like your back on and doing great!

I have not posted on here in a long time. I was at 283 about a year ago (down from 336)
Then I proceeded to gain and lose the same 15 lbs 3 times. At least I didnt let myself gain all 50 back. Well...today Im at 284. I am almost into weight territory that I have not seen in 14 years. .

Hi Brawny,

I was skimming through your diary and you really sound a lot like me :D I kept going between 295 and 275, I went down to 251, and now I'm back to 275:cuss: Like you, I'm looking for better points of motivation and strength and I DO NOT want to get back up to 295 again! I'm also setting smaller goals and trying to accomplish them. Congratulations on your weight loss and reaching a major goal post. Keep up the good work, and I'm sure you'll pass it in no time!

Glad to see ya back on here :) thats kinda why I keep dropping off... I post and post and post, and never see anyone I "know" on here, so then I just burn out and go my own way, lol! I'm here for ya, man :) Hope all is well in TX; Montana managed to avoid all the snow, BUT gets to deal with -40temps. psh. whatevvs, I can handle the cold, just not the snow! See ya round :)

Hi Brawny,
Good to see you are back. I am currently taking a break as I'm pregnant again, but will be back after I have the baby (due in July). Good luck - keep at it!

hey - welcome back!!
also i love your list of "Non caloric things I love"
you inspired me - i ll think i ll do the same :)

I made it home (barely) What a nightmare. Saw two wrecks right in front of me and about 40 cars in ditches... Then I was disappointed in my numbers when I weighed in. All that working out and eating healthy on that trip and I only broke even. Dang! But Im not quittin. I just gotta push through this. I know my body will turn loose of a little weight if I keep pushing. One small victory. I got into somsize 40 slacks for the first time in about a year. I was in size 46 two and a half years ago.

Alright for the slacks!! :cheers2: It was funny, my weigh in day was Thursday and nothing down. Zip. Even went up .2, then two days later, I was down 5lbs. Go figure?! Keep at it!!! You can do it!! When you don't expect it, then it comes! :D! CONSISTENCY WILL ALWAYS WIN! PERSISTENCE, BRAWNY!!! :D!

Believe it or not, at my heaviest (251) I was wearing jeans and pants ranging from size 40 to 44. It got to the point where some normal stores didn't even carry a size big enough for me. I was in total disbelief.

For you to be around 280 and fitting into size 40 is not as bad as you might think. Heck, lose a few inches off your belly and hips and you might be down to the 38 or even 36 range!

I was 253lbs and in a 38-42 so about the same as you. Choice beyond 40inch is restricted.
On the journey you become aware of the differences in jeans sizes. I typically wear 32's but for WalMart's work jeans I can wriggle into a 30. I have some American Eagle 31's that are very snug though.

Iain
Thanks for stoppin by. I would be totally pleased to make it to 36 jeans. I wore 34s when I played college football at 246lbs many many moons ago.
