It does feel good cate. I need to dwell on that feeling for a bit.

Well guess what my chubby friends?
I just rode my bike for 33 minutes and 8.08 miles.
Calories for the day are 1600.
Today I don't suck!

I do fear the scale Friday morning but gotta get on that dang thing.

"Well guess what my chubby friends?"
That SOOO made me laugh! Thank you, my fellow chubby friend!

No problem! If we cant laugh at ourselves we will cry.
Today has started well. I have had a event that has caused me to reflect...Here goes..

Reflective moment from Brawny. Written in color to add a certain "philosophical" quality.
So my hot water heater went out. First I ask why do we call it a "hot" water heater? It is a cold water heater. If the water was already hot it would not need to be heated. But I digress. Well I had this stray thought last night that I didn't want to do my workout because I didn't want to get off the bike all sweaty and then have a cold shower. I suppressed the thought, did the workout and endured the cold shower which really wasn't that bad as it was 92 degrees here in Texas yesterday. But here is the rub. That kind of little thing happens all the time. We could let any little thing get us off plan. I think what I am going to take away from it is this. I must expect the unexpected. People, events, little injuries....will continuously be obstacles in my path to skinnyland. I must have the resolve to take the cold shower metaphorically and even literally. End of reflective moment....I need a tissue and a diet coke.

I am an expert at making the tiniest excuse not to do something I need to do.

Oh, I shouldn't go outside and walk, it isn't as cloudy as I had hoped it'd be. Or, I should really eat what's left on my daughter's plate because I don't want myself or my wife to have to put it in a container and wash it later, so really I'm doing something helpful, right?

I'm not going to lift tonight cuz the kids were up later and I'll be too tired!

I can't row, I had a big dinner!

May as well have 3 more slices of pizza, I already had 2, and blew my calorie budget.

These are thoughts I've had and believed them. They're tough to fight at times. Buuuut, it's a good feeling when you can modify it, even a little (Have a lame lift, have a shorter/slower row, have 1 more slice instead of 3).

& me this morning...
"I'm not going to fast today as I'm hungry & I had decided on avocado on toast & G's toast smells so good. YUM"
but, I feel fat, I have put on a couple of kilos over Winter & I want to look good in my new bathers, so.....
I am going to fast today(<500 cals).
I am having my metaphorical cold shower.
Well done on having yours Brawny!

Thanks Cate and thanks to all who participated in excuse confessions lol.
No excuses today. Just got off bike...36 minutes 9.11 miles. I am tolerating more exercise pretty well. That is 13 out of 18 days of exercise. Ate lightly today (about 1100 calories). Weigh in is in the morning.
Hey you remember that guy? The guy who quit?....no one else does either.

100 kcal isn´t a lot for a grown man, but I´m sure you know that and this was an accidental exception ;) Good luck for your weigh-in!

I know Lama...it was a payback for going over a couple
of days ago, I am usually shooting for about 1600 to 1800.
Well just weighed in...lost 2.2. Current weight is 304.2. That is 8 lbs gone in 3 weeks which is just fine . My goal is about a lb loss every 3 days and that is what I have done so far. I could be below 300 in 2 or 3 weeks if I don't screw it up,
And now I will do an interpretive dance that symbolizes the elation of a 2.2lb weight loss!
Stand back...this is gonna get jiggly!

Gettin' jiggly with it.

13 days no fast food. I just got home from the football games. This is when I would usually do some pretty ugly eating but I am at 1600 calories today. Planned a skip day from exercise because I knew it was gonna be a 15 hour workday counting the ball games . I think instead of eating I am just gonna take a nice hot shower using my newly installed water heater which cost me an arm and a leg.
