Brawny's time machine

As long as "being light on the eating" doesn´t mean you´re having less than 1500 kcal I´m fine with that... We´re just human, we don´t need punishment for not being perfect or we´d be self-flagellating constantly. Take care :)

Keep going Brawny! You should see me when I cheat. Last time I decided to track myself cheating I recorded like 4000 calories. And that was me being reasonable and not going [completely] all-out.

Stay strong man! those 1000 extra calories will be gone in no time.

Has it been 5 days? Dang! Thanks for the call out KC I need to report and re focus.
Mixed report - I have been doing pretty well with exercise but have been eating a little too much.
I have biked 85 miles and walked 16 miles in July. If all goes as planned I will hit 20 miles walking tonight. Haven't stepped on the scales because..well ...people have been feeding me...and I have been letting them...gotta get in a good day and then maybe step on the scale and see if I have gained.

Don´t wait too long, I´ve been dodging all week and all I do is eat more than I otherwise would. Hope you´re smarter!

Weighed in ...272...up 3...time to put a stop to that. Here is the new plan
1.eat no more than 1400 calories a day with no cheating at all for 5 days in a row and see what that does
2. Plan my daily eating. Write it down.
3. Continue with exercising. That part is good.
4. Try to be more active at work. Less desk time.
I need to get well into the 260s to feel like I can kiss those pesky 270s goodbye forever.

So? Did you hit the 20 miles?
Good plan with steps 1,2,3 & 4. I know how you feel with people wanting to feed you. I have my in laws visiting from out of town and well for some unknown reason my MIL feels the need to bake every goddamn day that she is here. Every visit I say the same thing "Please, Mum, do you have to bake so much?" And get the same reply "No one is making you eat it." I've been super strong and only had a small slither of her apple and coconut slice. Keep at it, mate!

I have now walked23.25 miles and biked 85 miles in July. Been unseasonably cool here so I have been walking.
My eating is doing better. Maybe I can re-lose those 3 lbs...I hate re-losing...so frustrating

Don't give up Brawny!!! The exercising is awe-inspiring....I find that the exercise part is always the hard part of the new life style, once that is in place eating healthy falls into the routine!

Thanks for the encouraging words verobc I am hoping to get all the components working at the same time.
Still cool here which is really really rare this time of year. It's usually blistering hot here in July. I have the day off so I hit the track at 9 this morning. I just walked and walked...5 miles in 93 minutes!

So far today my eating is perfect but evenings is where I am most tempted. Trying to fight through it.

Maybe you can change your schedule to be more distracted in the evenings? I know I have a lot of trouble not grazing when I spend the evening watching tv or reading (which is one of the reasons I don´t have a tv) but I don´t even think of food when I do crafts or go for a walk.

Tonight I came upstairs earlier than normal. This got me a bit further away from the fridge and pantry. Worked pretty well. A little sore from the long walk this morning but it's cool. Heck 2 months ago I would have been glad to walk a mile and today I did 5. That is progress.

Exercise report
So far in July I have walked 38 mile and done 103 miles on the stationary bike.
That's the good news
The bad news is my scale seems to be frozen

You´ll get it to move again. Mileage will go further up with time, you´ll get a handle on evening grazing and you´ll find what things are best for your body. But sometimes it takes a while...

The evening grazing is my big issue right now. I have blown a few good days from 7-10 pm

Speaking of such...I gotta get off here and crawl on the bike...(poof...he disappears)

Ooo that puff of smoke was impressive! Otherwise: have you tried making low-calorie drinks for the evening? I like herbal teas at night, iced or not, they give your taste buds, your hands and your stomach something to do.
