Welcome back!! I had been wondering where you were:) Time to start afresh eh?? Maybe make a new diary to commemorate the new start?? Hope you've been well. Feeling good about yourself doesn't sound all bad;) just have to feel good and stay on track:D
 
YES. Yes. Yes. I have absolutely no self control. I find this harder to do then when i first started. I dont understand it. When i was a junior in highschool... i went on the atkins diet and lost 20lbs. i loved it. I had 100000 percent self control. Now i dont. I tried to go on the atkins diet again recently. And i get AWEFUL headaches. I dont know if it is from lack of carbs or not.... but it sucks. Plus i hate eggs. And i know that its one of the main foods on the atkins diet. Anyone here have any ideas?? I want a strict diet. If someone could make one up for me??? A sorta diet. I have lots of cereal in the house. Not many that are sugar free. But some that arent so bad for you. Raisin Bran Crunch OK?? I also can definately get my mom to buy turkey and lettuce. Anyone know of any healthier salad dressings that still taste good. I like italian, french, ranch....

I really need someone to tell me. I need help. I ask people around me that i feel comfortable with to help... but they dont want me to feel bad. So they let me eat what i want. I dont want that. And i have a hard time saying no.

I also have a lot of fruit cups and yogurt in the house.
I can go on walks, play DDR, lift weights, and do sit ups in my ab chair. I dont have money for a nutritionist, or for the gym.

I would love it if someone could tell me how many calories to eat per day. ( i can definately do 1300 per day. I've done it comfortably before) And if they could tell me the exercise to do. Not so much of a "telling"... but an almost "challenge"

Thankyou. I am in dyer need of lots of help. Anyone who can through me back on the right track. I dont want to get random sites that make suggestions. I want a real person to tell me. That way i feel i should obey. If i see a paper see it.... i dont care.

Granola bars are also another food thats in my house a lot.

I felt good about myself for a while... and now my face is fat again. And i look 20 months pregnant. yes....20 months. lol. could you even imagine??


I want to post new pictures. I will soon. I just took more pics.

you should try the sacred heart diet that wishes did. i think theres some info about it here:

OH i have a great new salad dressing. It is a wine vinegrette and it is new. They come in squirt bottles and 10 squirts is 10 calories! They are great because they coat the whole salad without dumping the dressing on the top and having too many calories. I am so excited with it. I think 1300 calories a day is fine. You should find something you can live with and do comfortably. Also if you add exercise even 1500 would be ok I am thinking. You can lower your calories until you start to lose and then when you get to that point you stay:) Good luck!!!

Are you living at your mum's house now?

I know a couple of people here have been happy with using the Sacred Heart diet, but it is something that is just meant to be used for a week. I know wishes said she found it created cravings while she was on it, and when I used it a couple of years ago I found that as soon as I stopped using it I went straight into a bad binge. I have the idea that you might want something that you can stick with in the longer term?

If you want a better idea of how many calories might be right for you I think wishes site sets out how to work this out in a straight forward way. The is in her siggy.

I lifted this from it:

Imperial(US) BMR Formula

Women: BMR = 655 + ( 4.35 x weight in pounds ) + ( 4.7 x height in inches ) - ( 4.7 x age in years )

Men: BMR = 66 + ( 6.23 x weight in pounds ) + ( 12.7 x height in inches ) - ( 6.8 x age in year )


Harris Benedict Formula To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor (BE HONEST WITH THYSELF), as follows:

1. If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2
2. If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375
3. If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55
4. If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
5. If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9

I don't really know how to recommend what anyone else should eat because I think we all have to find out what works for us as individuals. I've never thought that the plan I follow would suit everyone - and I suspect it would be difficult for you to organize the food. I did post it . I have modified it a lot to fit in with what seemed more reasonable to me to do as time went on. I think my calories range from about 1200 to 1600 a day. Basically it's just some complex carbohydrate, some protein and some vegetables in a meal, three times a day and some carbs and maybe vegetables or protein another once or twice a day and some milk here and there. I control how much protein I eat and how much carbohydrate and for most vegetables just eat as much as I can. The nice thing about it is that there's never any need to be hungry and once you've got through a few days there's little craving.

Like I said I don't expect this to be the way for you but maybe you can use it the way kids use their parent's ideas - to help them find out what they don't want to do!

Thankyou for advice. I needed it. I am going to put myself into training for the 3 day walk for breast cancer. I want to do it this year. I just need the money.

Food today wasnt great. But i'm going to go on a walk now. I'll bring my Ipod. It will keep me occupied. My boyfriend doesnt want to go next year. PLUS... i dont know if i'll have the money for it. And he doesnt have a job.. so he doesnt have the money for it either.

I guess i can wait for next year... i'll train myself now though. 90.00 is just to much for me right now.

I will start trying to eat mostly fruits and vegetables. I like them...and they will help me lose weight.

I have to leave for work in an hour. bummer. I'm so tired too.

I'm going to make a training plan for myself. Just in case i have enough money to go by then. It is 20 miles a day. For 3 days of course. WOW. Maybe someday. lol. Next year i'll be ready for it though.

I'll post again when i get home from work.
 
That breast cancer walk sounds amazing! When I first read it I saw the 3 and thought it was a 3 mile walk. I'm sure I've seen other people say they are doing a 3 mile walk for breast cancer. 20 miles x 3 days!! Yes. Train for it! Do it next year! OMG. That would be very, very cool.
 
thankyou felici. I think it would be cool for next year too. This year i think i'm going to do the relay for life... which is a 24 hour walking thing. Its broke up into intervals so some people can take breaks and whatnot.

I did 1 mile yesterday. And i did 1 mile today. Yay for me. I had a cheeseburger for lunch with some fries. i dont know why i did it... i dont even like cheeseburgers. But thats all i had. With 2 bottles of water so far...and of course my walk. I have to go to work tonight. BUMMER. But when i get home i am going to update another picture i took of myself. Much better than the icon i have now of myself.

The relay for like only costs $10.00, and you walk just as much as you can. It's on June 22nd. But they do it all over the world. So look into it if you can.

I have 2 english papers due soon. And i'm getting stuck on them. But i did a little bit of work for them today. So at least i got something accomplished. My goal is 4 waterbottles. 2 are down... so only 2 more to go.

I have to go to work in 45 mintues... so i'm going to go hop into the shower.

Another one of my goals is to only drink ice water at work.

Ok.... since i'm spreading them out... let me type out all my present goals::

1. drink only ice water when i am at work. I tend to drink lemonade and icetea a lot when i'm there. And i had already kicked myself of drinking things with calories in them.

2. Eat healthier foods. (i'm not doing so well on that today... but for dinner i'm going to bring a fruit cup/a yogurt. )

3. Go on at least a 1 mile walk every day. Rain or shine. Unless i'm sick. Then i wont walk. lol.

I think thats all i can concentrate on right now. When school gets out i will be able to work a lot harder on my weight loss. I plan on getting a gym membership somewhere with a pool soon after i finish school. Because i love to swim... during the summer i get grumpy when i'm hot and sweaty and can't swim. And it is great exercise for my arms and stuff.

I think i'm going to have my boyfriend look into it when i'm at work tonight.

OKK... i really need to get into the shower now. Time is running out.
 
last night at work i only drank my water!! yay for me.

Today i woke up somewhat later than i wanted to, so i dont have too much time to bum around today.

I am going to take me walk. I might jog for a little bit. Who knows. I wish i had time to walk more. But a mile is all i have time for when i have work and school. Depending on any time constraints i have today--i might do 2 miles!

I havent eaten anything yet today.

But yesterday when i came home from work i had a whole bunch of chicken wings. They were delicious. And not TERRIBLY bad for. I could have had worse.

I think i'm going to have a grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast. And then a yogurt on the way to work.

I probably wont have dinner. Because i have towork so damn late.

People were making fun of me yesterday at work for wanting to do the relay for life. Because i would sleep in a tent and walk around a track for 24 hours. I figured it would be for a good cause, so nothing was wrong with it. it made me so angry.:mad:

I also need all the hours i can get at work. ANd i'm 3 hours behind the amount i'm supposed to have. So i need to work a little later each day.

Whatever. I'm going to go enjoy my day.
 
BmO - you enjoy your day and ignore what anyone else says - if it's what you want to do - and feel it's a good cause - DO it :D

I have all my food planned out the day. AND to make sure i dont do anything else... i also have it packaged up.

For breakfast i had a grilled cheese sandwich with a bottle of water.
2 slices of Wheat bread- 140 calories
3 slices of white american cheese- 270 calories. (OUCH!!)
vegetable oil spray (instead of butter;) )- 0 calories
16.9 ounces of water

I'm kind of disappointed by the amount of calories in the cheese. but its not so bad. i had it for breakfast so i have plenty of time to work it off. And it has 6 grams of protein! And now, i'm very full. I didnt have any chips or anything!! And that was hard for me. Because i have A HUGE addiction to eating chips with every sandwich i have.

For the rest of the day i packaged myself up 3 things that i can eat when i'm hungry.

a chocolate chip granola bar- 90 calories
a diced peach fruit cup- 80 calories
and a blueberry yogurt- 250 calories. (and its a HUGE yogurt.)

That will bring my total calories for the day up to 830 calories. I know it doesnt seem like a lot...but its plenty of food for me.

I'm going to go take a 2 mile walk. I've decided. I'm feeling great right now.

If your workmates don't get the value of being active and making an effort to achieve and to help, that's a reflection on them not you. I will look out for that Relay for Life. It's on a Friday so maybe I can do it if I'm not working - or maybe I will go to work and find out they're doing it there!

It's probably lucky there were so many calories in the cheese, seeing as your day looks a bit light on, overall. :) Isn't it great when you find out you're not interested in eating something unhealthy because you're already full of good food!? :)

It looks like you have some excellent snacks planned. I wonder if you would ever feel like adding a handful of nuts or a boiled egg and a couple of salad veges to the other things you are taking with you, as it seems like you will be a gone a long time, and I'm not sure whether you are intending to eat another meal.

Felici- I know it seems like i am going light on the calories. But i'm only going to be at work from 2pm-8pm. I plan on eating the yogurt on the way there, and the fruit cup and the granola bar on the way back. I dont like nuts or eggs. I dont mind eating salad veggies. (lettuce, cucumbers, carrots). and is the relay for life on a friday near you as well? its on a friday near me. But its not the same day everywhere. But definately look into it if you get the chance.

I really need to start adding some veggies into my diet. But for now at least i have the fruit down. :)

I only went on a 1 mile walk. I keep trying to push myself...but i think i should stay within my limit. The 1 mile walk pushes me a bit because there are quite a few hills that kick my butt.

So i burned about 118 calories. Not bad.
I'm just relaxing for the time being. I'm drinking my 2nd bottle of water.

Water count is up to 33.8 ounces for the day.

I'm in a great mood. But now i have to go take my shower. Then i need to get ready... and then i'm off to work. When i get home i am going to write up my term paper.
 
It sounds like you will still have something more to eat after you get home from work so that will be good.

I didn't realize the walk was on different days. I just figured it was on a Friday because you gave the date. I will look it up though. It would be really nice to be in the same walk you are doing. I will do it if I can. :)

It sounds like you are really feeling on top of things right now and that's great too. :)
 
Today i'm going to my father's house. And then to work at 5:30. ICK. I need a higher paying job. I just don't know where to go. I just got out of the shower. Nice and refreshing.

Goal for today:

64 ounces of water.
NO potato chips
At least 1 walk.
Not let things bother me at work

Yesterday i went on another walk with my brother when i stopped by my mother's house. It was great. I jogged most of the way.
