BikiniBound's Diary

Yes, better to be without tv than internet..lol

Henry did very well the first couple of days, but the last two haven't been so good. He peed on the bathroom rug and one of the rugs in the bedroom. He also peed on the cement in the basement near his litter box. Don't know what's going on. He never did anything bad at my parents' house. He's also tried jumping on the dining table and kitchen counters. I did scare him pretty badly with the vacuum on Sunday afternoon, and his behavoir changed about that time, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. I hope it improves b/c we won't be able to keep him if he doesn't stop. If he does it again, I'm making an appt to get him fixed in hopes that will help--or find out if he has a urinary tract infection (which can also make them do that). But I'm inclined to think that it's the stress of the move/vacuum. If anyone has any ideas of what to do, please suggest away. :)

How about thoe BUCKEYES???!!?!??! I heard them choke all the way here in Ohio!!! I do have to say it was a better game than I expected... PLUS, Pryor is only a freshman... he will be amazing! :D :D

That's tough. I was really worried about my cats when we moved. They're so finicky as is, I figured the move would destroy them. I simply locked them in one room for a few days and put their litter box and food/water in the same room.

After a few days, I opened the door and left their things in the room.

I also put another litter box and food bowl in the room I wanted them to eventually use.

It worked great. They didn't mess once.

But that's not very helpful seeing as how you already moved in. I'm not sure what I would do at this point.

*UGH* i need that same advice...for behaviour i spray them with a spray bottle of water, all i need to do no wis shake the bottl eand they run, lol.I dont spray them alot only when they are doing things they shouldnt.

As far as the peeing, y aim having major issues in my house hold. They are peeing everywhere...beside the litter box, under my kitchen table in the bedrooms, they are really pissing me off Im ready to give them all away.

One thing im not sure if you know. Cats really hate hte citrus smell, like orange, orange peels kinda thing. Before when I was having probs I used a condenced oil and then they cant smell there smells....You can now buy a odor fighting spray that is orange peel smelling.

It is called Organic Orange TKO Super concentrated cleaner. It is made from the peel of an orange.

My cats are outta contol right ow but I think i have it figured out.

Congrats on moving in!

I have only had one cat in my life, Oliver, and he and I have suffered 4 moves together! He has never ruined anything or urinated or defecated anywhere he wasn't supposed to. But I like the advice above! I hope Henry is just getting used to the move, but the spray bottle is a good idea--however, he will not remember what he did wrong, if you punish him more than a few seconds after--catbrain!

Sorry your cat is acting up... I don't have one currently and the only cat I did have was insane (wild) anyways... Perhaps he just has to get used to the new place and he is just stressed out right now? I don't have much advice for that.

Congrats on the move tho :) and I don't watch much football but I do know it was a pretty big deal here in UT when the Utes won the Sugar Bowl. It was interesting. The Utes won but the Jazz lost to the Lakers... I live and am semi-surrounded by Jazz fanatics...

Well, when it rains, it pours. Found out today the county will not reimburse us for the pothole repairs. I'm calling the insurance co tomorrow to see if they will.

Henry has been good this afternoon and evening, but we've taken most of the area rugs and put them where he can't get to them. He did urinate in his litter box this evening so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I did make an appt with the vet for him tomorrow just to rule out a urinary tract infection. So there's more $$ to be spent.

And H's car died its final death as well. So now we have to get him a new vehicle. Big $$ there. :cuss:

And I spent 2hrs with my mom at the cardiologist this afternoon. Her weight has gone up again and she's retaining water again. So that was pretty upsetting. I highly doubt she'll be in the delivery room b/c I don't see her getting better before then.

So, all in all, a pretty throroughly rotten day. Now I'm really stressing about money. But the real estate market sucks, and who would hire me when I'm nearly 7mos preggers? :(

Dammit! I hate vehicle trubs. I'm hoping my car goes on for awhile longer, at least thru school because I can't really afford a car payment while I'm doing that. It's a Honda Civic with a 142,000 miles on it and I hope it'll make it to 200k before I'm forced to buy something else...

Potholes suck!!! I hit this one today that must have been "invisible" or something because neither me or my friend riding in the car saw it. I wonder where the F my tax dollars are going because the roads look like and feel like shit lately...

Sorry that it's raining a shit storm right now for you. This too shall pass.

Take Care,
Sam

Sorry things are sucking for you. I hope they get better soon. Congratulations on FINALLY moving in, I know you were ready for it. I can't wait to see pics when you decorate the nursery!

It's hard to take your apathy or regrets seriously with that "game face" on!! I think she's trying to blow smoke up a certain part of your body Kim!! :D :D

Hey, Hope your days get better!!! :) :)

Amy, JZ, Sam, Val, Steve, Cerella and Dawn--thanks for stopping by! :hug2:

Well, things have been better the last few days. Looks like me might not have to get another car for H after all. We might be able to get a good used engine and fix it that way.

Henry has been good the last couple of days. Although that could be b/c I've removed nearly all the rugs, and he doesn't pee on the bare floors. I've got a kit to get a urine sample for the vet. Am hoping to take him in Tues afternoon to make sure he doesn't have a urinary tract infection.

Pretty quiet weekend. We had some friends (H's co-worker) over for dinner Sat. The wife is giving me a baby shower in Feb for H's co-workers. I thought that was pretty nice of her. :)

David and I had lunch with Dad and Granny today. Mom stayed home with a sinus headache. But we went over to their place afterwards so I saw her, too. :)

On the real estate front, I should have a closing on Friday and maybe picking up some other buyers as well. I'm showing a couple two houses tomorrow (one of them is my listing). Sure would be nice if they bought that so I'd get double the commission. :D But I'll just be thrilled if they buy anything with me. ;) So it's good that things seem to be picking up a bit in that respect.

Awwwww look at that belly! How cute!!!!! Can ya tell people LOVE pregnant women??

I'm glad to hear things are looking up. Car troubles are majorly stressful, as are vet issues. You always seem to leave the mechanic or the vet in shock with the amount you spent there..

So how's life out of the parent's house?? Are you and H loving it or what? Are you finding it easier to eat healthier away from your parent's junk?

Hope you're mom get's it together, poor thing must be stressed knowing her food issues are making her condition worse.

Man, can you beleive how shitty the Lions are.... what the hell are they thinking!!! It's so hard to watch a team that awful every week...

It may lead to FLASHBACKS of their TERRIBLE PLAY!!! ;) ;) :D :D :D

Baby "Buldges" are HOT!!!!!! :D

Hope you have a great day. :)

Thanks for the baby belly compliments..lol.

Cita--It was actually strange at first not living with the parents. They really miss us--especially my dad. Even though I've seen him almost everyday since we moved out, he just doesn't feel like it's the same..lol. It's been two weeks now, so it's starting to feel more like home, and I really like being able to have people over again.

JZ--Am I missing something about the LIons? Did they make headlines again recently??

Glad things are better! I repped you on a different post, LOL!

I love your belly pic--you look like a skinny pregnant woman :)

Thank goodness Henry is behaving. Lets hope the income goes up, and the expenses go DOWN. Take care! :hug2: <---oops, not so easy over the baby! :D

No kidding. I totally agree with Val. Damnitt, Kimberly... how much do you weigh now, bitch? Oh wait.. then again, you're a freaking Amazon. Oh and btw... that's a beautiful tummy and I love you. HA! But on a serious note, why can't we get a face pic as well, because your smile is absolutely adorable. (Funny enough, you can even see a preggers glow by that snapshot of your chin. haha) You look so happy, honey. I'm happy for you both.

May everything workout well with the real estate part.

Val and Sheryl--Thanks for saying I look like a skinny pregnant woman...lmao b/c I'm truly not. I envy those women who look like they have a basketball under their shirts. I still think to most people I just look fat. :cuss: I didn't let you see all of my face b/c I hated the way it looked in all the pics David took. It just looked fat and bloated to me--must've been the pigging out I did xmas day. :D

Btw Sheryl, I weigh 231lbs atm. I've gained 13.5lbs so far, so I'm fairly pleased about that.

On to the real estate. Well, the closing I was supposed to have on Fri will not be happening until next week b/c of the seller (bank-owned foreclosure). Ironically, they made my buyers sign an addendum (typical of banks) saying if the closing was delayed due to the buyers, that they would pay the bank $100 per day beyond the closing date. So I said to the listing agent, "So does that mean the bank is going to pay my clients $100 per day like they would've had to do if they had caused the delay?" His response, "No, it doesn't work like that." "Yeah, I didn't think so," I replied, knowing full well it would be a cold day in hell before that happened. God I hate banks! They really piss me off. Oh well, each day the closing's delayed means they have to give my buyers more money towards the property tax credit, so at least there's something.

Now onto Henry....he had a vet appt this afternoon so I tried to get a urine sample out of him like they wanted. This involved removing his current cat litter and putting in these non-absorbant pellet-type things instead. Then I had to suck up the urine with a syringe. Well, Henry didn't care for the new litter (probably b/c there was very little of it for one thing), so he peed on two rugs instead. Lovely. I took him to the vet and he doesn't have a temp, and she said he looks really healthy, but really needed a urine sample to definitively rule out a urinary tract infection. She tried to get some out of him, but he wouldn't cooperate..lol. So I took him back home and shortly thereafter he went and peed in his litter box (the urine sample litter) much to my surprise and delight. So I got the urine sample and will take it in tomorrow to have it tested. She's pretty sure it's behavioral, though, that he's stressed by the move. She also said getting him fixed should fix that. ;) Anyway, I spent a good portion of the late afternoon washing rugs and mopping floors to get rid of the cat pee smell which is soooo lovely. :ack2: Thank God we put in laminate wood floors instead of carpet!!

Now onto my midwife appt earlier today...blood pressure was the lowest it's been in months--huge, pleasant surprise. It was 108/80. Baby's heart rate was in the high 130s, so possibly a boy? My college gf in Milwaukee always predicts the baby's sex by touching the belly or looking at a pic. She thinks it's a boy, but felt like a girl before she saw the pic. The midwife told me that she has had 100% success with the dangling of the string with a ring attached over the belly. If it goes in a circle it's a girl, if back and forth a boy. Also, she said to get some Drano crystals, put them in a paper cup and add some of my urine. If it turns greenish blue it's a girl, if brown, it's a boy. So I bought some of that today to test it out. Haven't done either of them yet, though. I'm curious to see if both tests say the same thing.

Gotta take another glucose test for gestational diabetes. Last time when I was with the OB I had to go to their office and drink the stuff, then sit in their waiting room for an hour and then get my blood drawn. Today she gave me the drink and a list of labs to go get the blood drawn. There is one conveniently located just around the corner from our house, so I can drink it, sit in the comfort of my own home for an hour, then go get the blood drawn. They are also going to check my iron count since it was low the last time (I've been taking iron supplements since), and she said the baby has a big growth spurt around this time, and it often depletes mama's iron.

Sorry this turned out to be such a long post. :blush5:
