Stacy--Don't say it's almost time b/c that scares the hell out of me since I am no where near ready..lol.
I think my exercising consistantly and keeping a moderate handle on what I eat has really helped me not only keep from gaining too much, but also to help me feel better. After hearing so many women's stories of how miserable they were during pregnancy and some of the problems they had, I feel very fortunate to have had such an easy pregnancy thus far.
Yesterday I was talking to a girl who was horribly sick the whole 9 months with her first baby. Plus she had pre-eclampsia and was all swollen up and the baby was breach and she had to have a c-section. She is due in a month with her second and lost 20lbs the first trimester due to morning sickness. That didn't stick thankfully, but now she has gestational diabetes (she isn't even overweight) and says she can't wait to be done with being pregnant. I feel slightly guilty for having it so easy. I honestly feel great, and forget I'm pregnant sometimes. But, I haven't gotten the results back yet from last week's glucose test. Hopefully all is well. I am finding that I get tired a lot more easily than I used to, and tonight it wasn't so easy to get off the sofa..lol.
Well, I was worried about baby showers b/c to be honest, I don't have a lot of girlfriends who lived close by to throw me one..lol. My husband's co-worker's wife (who we are friends with) is throwing me one for David's co-workers, and yesterday my gf here said she would throw me one as well. So I'll have two showers coming up in Feb.
We certainly got the snow they predicted for yesterday. Not sure exactly, but I'd guess about 6-7 inches. H and two of his friends went to a thing called a Brew Ha Ha yesterday. A bunch of beer brewers had booths where you could get free samples. There was a $15 admission fee which gave you tickets for so many free samples. Anyway, here's a gross story for ya: H's one friend's wife dropped him off at our place and the two of them walked to the 3 guy's place (about 1.5 miles from ours). On the way there, they came upon a dead squirrel that a car had hit. His friend picks the thing up and carries it with him the rest of the way. Granted it's frozen, but still...ewww. So when they got to the 3rd friend's house, the guy skins it and puts the meat in a ziploc bag and throws the rest of it into the yard. The tail landed in the snow sticking straight up. Anyway, somehow this ziploc bag of squirrel meat is now in H's beer fridge in the garage. I'm totally grossed out b/c it's fucking ROADKILL!!

I think I need to get David back to Australia before he turns into some possum stew-eating backwoods redneck!!
