BikiniBound's Diary

I hope your mom is staying strong and recovering swiftly! Diabetes is one of the most wretched diseases I can think of, I have to deal with poor Chris's terrible fluctuations of blood sugar as well :(

I AM glad to hear about Henry. And I hope you're doing OK!

AS for me, life is great :) Take care!:grouphug:

Hey, sorry I've been MIA in your diary. How's your mom doing today? Diabetes is some scary shit. I hope she's doing better!

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. Well, it's not the diabetes really that's giving mom her problems--it's her weight. Well, the weight is a huge reason why she has the diabetes, but...

She has a bad bladder infection which they are treating with antibiotics. For a couple of days she was unable to keep any food down so they put her on a liquid diet, but as of supper, she's back to solid foods. Her vitals are all good, but they are still trying to get that water weight off her. It's coming off slowly. I don't expect her home over the weekend--maybe sometime next week.

In the meantime, I'm worried about my dad as he's stessed over Mom, and eating total crap and not taking good care of himself. So I gave him a kind, caring lecture to be better to himself b/c I love him and worry about him and don't want him to end up like Mom or in joint pain b/c of extra weight he's carrying around.

Been super busy with RE the last few days. Had a closing today even though as of Weds pm it was postponed indefinitely. This morning we discovered it was back on for this afternoon, so that is good. I'll get a small paycheck next week sometime. :hurray: And, a listing has a pending sale due to close in late Feb, so I've also been busy with that, and also wrote an offer on a house for a buyer yesterday--still waiting to see how that turns out. Anyway, I can't believe I'm this busy this time of year in this kind of market--certainly not complaining as the extra money (nothing extravagant, but much better than a kick in the ass) will come in handy with the baby arriving soon. :)

Congrats, I'm so glad. :)

Thanks Val!

Well, I finally went with my cousin yesterday and registered at Babies R Us and Target. We spent 4 hrs walking around those stores scanning stuff..lol. My feet were just killing me by the time we were done. I went home and pretty much sat on my ass with my feet up the rest of the night..lol. I was surprised that my ankles weren't swollen. I've been very lucky in not having any trouble with that so far.

Looks like that offer I wrote on Thursday will be going through--the bank verbally countered back $100 lower than the buyer is willing/able to pay, so now we just need to get it writing. So there will be a bit more money--not much as the sales price is only $59,900, and I have to pay a referral fee to another agent, but every little bit helps. :)

Mom is doing better--still in the hospital, but they might be moving her to a rehab facility soon. She's on antibiotics for the bladder infection, and they're slowly getting the water weight off. She has a cardiac condition--some kind of arithmea--that is part of the water weight trouble.

Nothing wrong with giving him a gentle lecture, he needs to hear it from aplace of love.

That is great new news abt worka nd being busy:)

As far as no nursery, lol, I didnt have a car set till my due date, LOL...talk abt cuttin it close...

Glad to hear youa re keeping well:)

Glad to hear mom is doing better and by moving her willit aid in her getting better?

Cerella--You made me feel a bit better with your carseat story..lol. But it's a lot easier to go out and buy a car seat than finish off a basement..lmao!! :smilielol5:

Update on Mom: they are looking for a bed in a rehab facility (not drug rehab..lol), and she'll stay in the hospital until they find one, as she is not ready to come home. She has lost 40lbs of water weight over the past week. Still, she is about 10lbs heavier than she was at her last doc appt a few weeks ago. She's in good spirits, and her bed is pretty comfortable--something she struggled with the last time she was in the hospital.

Well, I had David take some pics of me tonight. Here I am at 33 weeks:

That is great news about your mom! And im lovin the pic kim! I'm so excited to see what the baby will look like! Have you thought about names yet??

Cerella and Brandy--Thanks!

Mom is getting moved to a rehab place this afternoon. It's only 5-10 min from Dad's work so he's happy about that. It's a bit of a drive for me, though, so I'm not sure how often I'll get there.

Good news about your mom!! Also, nice picture!! 33 weeks... almost there!!! :D

On a moral issue.... Is it too late to be a Steelers fan... I only live about 3.5 hours from there!!!! What do ya think!!! ;) :D :) :)

Claudia & Val--Thanks about the pics. :) Mom seems to be happy with the rehab place, and likes her roomie who's quite a character.

Josh--Well, I don't blame ya..lol. I'm thinking about becoming a Packers or Colts fan..lmao. Hmm...a Packers fan would require me to get a cheesehead hat though--and I'd have to stop calling them the Green Bay FudgePackers.

i wanna rub your belly!! Too cute! I always hated when people would touch my belly. Lol! I was so miserable I was like "get the fuck off me"! Hah!

Glad your mom is doing better. I need to go look at your registry.

NAH!!! Keep callin' them Greenbay Fudge Packers, sell your soul and root for he PATS!!! At least if Brady returns, he's a U of M grad!! Yeah, I like that... Big ben grew up and played HS ball about 30 miles from me... I'm simply cheering on a "home town" boy!!!! :D

Glad to hear your mom is doing better and likes her WHACKY roomie!!! :D

Have great ones Kim! :)

Luv the pic, thanks so much for sharing Kimberly!
*Big ahhhhhhhhhhhhh* :beating:

Happy to hear the good news w/mom.

I was thinking about you sooo much today and we should set up an on-line shower!?

Whatcha think? :D

I'm gettin' your shower gift once my 10th check comes. :)

Of course I can't go all out like I would like, but I can still help a little bit.
Showers are so much fun!
I just loved mine and we were so very blessed!
