BikiniBound's Diary

Had my OB appt on Thursday and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat. :hurray: Everything looks good.

Worked on the condo a bit this week. Ordered the countertops tonight. I think we'll be moved in by the end of the month--only 1 month behind schedule.

I think we have got ourselves a cat. A few days ago a stray started hanging around and of course we are feeding him. He's very sweet and friendly and has warmed up to us. So we'll be taking him with us when we move. He's awfully skinny, though, so we are fattening him up, poor thing. As we get closer to moving in, I'll take him to the vet and have him checked out, neutered and get his shots. Still need to come up with a name for him.

Wow how exciting hearing the hearbeat!!!
Hey 1 month behind is darn good going!!!
Be careful with the cat and make sure you dont pick up after it!
But how cute!

Hope the find the rapist soon and take care until they do
Sarah

bikinibound,

Very encouraging diary, though I haven't finished reading all the posts - that might be the first home work after I joined in. Thanks for sharing indeed.

If you read through all the posts you deserve a medal..lol. It does have a lot of pervertedness in the early stages of it..lmao. Now it's pretty tame, though, aside from my political rantings. :D

Thanks for stopping by and best wishes on your weight loss journey. :)

Sarah--We already have two cats, and it's H's job to deal with the cat litter. I love having that excuse so I don't have to do the dirty deed. :sifone:

Awww that is very sweet of you! Glad you're taking the kitty in!

I also support the right to bear arms. I just think we should be selective in who we allow to have guns for the safety of the general public. For example, people who are mentally unstable should not be allowed to have a gun. :)

hahaha, OMG, this statement really hits home with me due to last Friday night!

There is no way I want to raise a child in a country that is ruled by ruthless, uncaring people who want to poke their noses into everyone's bedrooms and doctors appts while leaving the economy in the hands of greedy oil tycoons. I'm beginning to think the majority of Americans have their heads stuck in their asses the way they keep voting these morons into office. Our country seems to be run by the ignorant and uneducated when it used to be run by the nation's most well-educated and best intellectuals.

Here, here!!! :iagree: Or is it "hear, hear"? Well stated! :D

Very cool with the heart beat!

And a new cat... glad to hear you're fattening him up, poor guy.

The radon level in my house was 10.3... not sure what metric they use but assume it's standard and you'll know.

Val--Glad you agree with me on the politics..lol. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who don't...hahha. But I don't give a shit. I think I'm going to join Obama's campaign in Grand Rapids and try to help him get elected. I think this is going to be another close race. :ack2:

I also think people with violent criminal pasts should not be allowed to own guns. I don't see why this is so controversial with Repubs.

Steve--You know I'm a sucker for animals in need. :D I replied to your radon issue in your diary. :)

I'm definitely FOR Obama--plus he has my birthday :D Uh, not the year of course!

Violent criminal pasts--makes total sense to me. Have you heard of Florida's "law"? Is this a joke or what??? If it is I dunno the iconography.

LOL! I hope he kept his guns locked up away from you then. :biggrinjester:

Val--I really hope that is just a joke.

Yeah he did! LOL
But didn't matter none.
I totally flipped the dog over with one arm when I found her getting into the trash. She weighed about 95 pounds at the time.
I was only trying to rub her nose into it and whoop there she went.
Dh happened to see her go tail over head and promptly named me
Pregneto
He said I was just like Magneto from the X-men. Since that dog practically moved all on her own.
By the way she has never again gotten into the trash. :)

Smart man..lol. That story was funny. I laughed so loud, David asked me what I was laughing about. :biggrinjester:

I've been a real slack ass lately when it comes to exercising, so I decided to step it up this week. I've been to the gym twice already, so I'm happy about that. I haven't posted my weight/exercise logs in ages, so I thought I'd air my dirty laundry. :biggrinjester:

Wow O Wow!
CONGRAT'S on hitting 218 while expecting! ;)

Great Job! :hurray:

Yer dirty laundry looks pretty darn good! :D

I hope you have a Goal Reachin' Day!

BTW:

Miss Ya! :hug2:

Dawn and Stacy--218 isn't really new. I've hit it a few times over the past month. I'm just trying to keep it around there. My weight always fluctuates from day to day. What I'm not proud of is the lack of exercise over the last few weeks. But today I was good again. David came home today in between his runs, and we went for a 3 mile walk. It was so beautiful outside. Not a cloud in the sky and temps in the high 60s/low 70s with a slight breeze. I really missed my walks. Stupid rapist. :cuss:

Glad you could get out and walk. This is my favorite time of the year.
I once heard or read somewhere that whatever time of the year you were born is usually the time of the year you are the most happiest.
Hopefully they catch the rapist soon.
And as for the 218 not being new that is ok. The fact that you are maintaining it is AWESOME.

I was born in March, and it is definitely NOT my favorite time of year..lol. Sept and Oct are my fav months. I love fall weather. :) The only reason I'm happy in March is b/c I know winter is almost over. :D

I more of a spring person myself. However, in Alberta, spring doesn't occur until May and then is promptly replaced by summer. I have to say, though, I always look forward to the day when all of a sudden all the trees break into leaf all at once. I love it.

However, I have really come to appreciate fall since I've been in BC. There's a tree called katsura, which has leaves that emit a smell like burnt sugar when they dry up. They definitely make fall magical. Enjoy fall while you can!
