BikiniBound's Diary

Hey Twin, remember this guy????

NESS CITY, Kan. - A man whose girlfriend authorities say spent nearly two years in a bathroom in their house, sitting on the toilet so long that the seat adhered to her body, has been charged with mistreatment of a dependent adult.

Kory McFarren, 37, was charged Monday in Ness County District Court.

I'm glad he's being charged, he should have told someone I don't care who, when she wouldn't come out after a couple days, ummmm that's usually an indication somethings wrong, wouldn't you think?? WOW, as the story unfolds. LOL LOL

Hope your day is going well!!! I bet you see 219 really soon!! GOOD LUCK on tomrrows weigh in!!
Hugs
Kim

Glad to hear that you were able to get in an hours walk. Yikes that must of been one heck of a doctors appt to have to wait that long.
I bet you'll be back down to 219 by Friday. Just keep on with all the hard work. It's paying off!

Well, that was the whole time we were there--well, Mom was there..lol..I was out walking. :D Actually, an hour is the fastest we've ever gotten out of there. Her opthamologist specializes in diabetic eye issues, and is very busy. Before he moved to a new location (which is closer to us--bonus), we usually spent at least 2hrs there--sometimes 3!!! When I complained once, the doc said 2hrs is normal b/c of the high caseload of patients. :nopity: Whatever. His old office took 30-40 min to drive to one way. So factor in 2-3hrs there, and another hour to 1hr 20min in driving time, it took over 4hrs out of my day sometimes. So I am thrilled to get there in 15min and only spend 1hr at the doc's..haha.

Twin--I agree he should be charged. But honestly, he cannot be all there, either if he did that. I mean who in their right mind would allow someone to sit on their crapper for 2yrs?? I'd have shoved her ass off within a couple hrs when I needed to use it myself!! :smilielol5:

NO DOUBT!! I don't have a lot of time to post, but I'll try and get on later this evening after my gym workout if I can. I hope it's sunny in your neck of the woods, it's really pretty here today, but super windy! What's new!

Hugs and love to ya!!

It is gorgeous out today--not a cloud in the sky. It's not real warm--high 30s, but the sunshine is great. NO complaints outta me. :D

Good news--I have a signed purchase agreement in my possession. 9 days on the market--woohoo!! Now if only my big listing would sell--that would be an awesome commission. :drool5:

And now I've got 2 buyers as well--and the one is the seller of the house I just sold, so she WILL be buying asap--I hope..lol. God forbid she decides to rent!! :banghead: I'm showing her a house in less than 3 hrs. :hurray:

Hi Kimberly

Congratulations on the sale and good luck in finding the seller somewhere great. With luck you will be able to build a nice little chain. Keep mentioning to her that there is always a danger in being out of the market in case prices change and make her deposit not stretch as far. That might encourage her that she doesnt want to rent.

It was kind of you to take your mother to the doctor's office. Good that you managed to use the waiting time productively too!

I'm pleased to hear that your weight is heading downwards. There is no doubt that your metabolism does need rectifying - but it will always be a little disconcerting to have the high calorie days on purpose and watch the weight go up. You have worked so hard to bring it down. I would hate having to do that.

Take care
Love
Margaret

She has not mentioned wanting to rent, and I don't intend to bring it up..lol. I'm just saying, I hope she doesn't look at a few houses, and decide to rent for awhile. I've had that happen before where the client never mentioned they might be interested in renting, and then suddenly decided that's what they wanted to do.

I have been the official taxi driver for my mom and gran for several years now. :driving: It is something taken for granted these days. I look at it more as my duty than me being nice..lol. Today my gran said she was sorry I had to "cart her around," and I replied that I'd rather have to cart her around than not have her at all. I hope that made her feel better, and I meant every word of it. I love my gran--even though she drives me nuts sometimes. :D

I've been quite good with my calories today, so barring a late night binge, I should post a loss for the week. It probably won't be a big loss, but it'll be better than a gain.

They had Fiber One cereal on sale this week, so today I checked out the regular kind (I've been eating the FO raisin bran for a couple of months). It only has 120cals per cup, and 28g of fiber!! Plus it's low in sodium and high in nearly all vitamins and minerals. I thought it would taste like tree bark, but it's actually pretty good. The raisin bran version only has 11g and 170cals per cup, so this has more than double the fiber and fewer calories. :hurray:

Wow--just got done watching Lost--very good episode. But now I have to wait over a month before they show a new one. :ack2:

Scalentino better be good to me tomorrow!! :cuss:

Good luck at the scales.

I know that there are tons of better cereals than my honey shreddies (plain shreddies for instance) - but sometimes you have to treat yourself. It is good that you have found something that you enjoy that is saintly.

You lucky girl getting some spam in your diary.

Kimmy, I always get a kick out of reading your entries. You're so entertaining.

Congrats on getting the house sold! Only nine days is pretty exciting. Hopefully you've a few more that will sell as quickly. Unpredictability is a consequence of living and if this woman decides she *does* in fact, want to rent, don't let it get to you. It'll be frustrating I know, but it comes with territory I suppose, doesn't it?

I'm with you on the familial duty. I've always found it important we let our relatives know, for as long as they're alive, that we care enough for them to make them top priority. Especially the elder members of our relations. When my great-grandmother was in the hospital, we went to see her everyday, even if it cut awkwardly into our schedule. In my mind, it's important to let them know that they matter and they're loved.

Hope you have a good Friday! Don't sprain anything when you're trying to make a baby tonight, okay? LOL...

Kimberly,

Your calories and fiber, protein and fat percent look wonderful. I am very impressed with your diet. I'm glad you think the fiber one cereal is good. I'm too scared to try something that's THAT good for you....I automatically assume it will not be good! That's awesome about selling that one house. Hopefully the other buyer (previous seller) will know that now's the best time to buy a house, b/c it's totally a buyer's market! Hope you have a good weigh in today!

Priti

I've been really busy today with work, so I'll have to make this quick. She's not wanting to rent yet, as I'm meeting with her at 6:30 to sign an offer on the house she looked at last night. Unfortunately, someone else wrote an offer on it this afternoon, so we have to compete. :ack2: Who says nothing's selling right now?? I've been busier this week than I've been in ages.

Also, I think I might've found a house for us--and it's a 3min walk to my gym. Oh yeah!

Weight was 220 today--down a lb from last week's weigh in. Not wonderful, but not terrible, either.

Thanks for stopping by everyone, and I'll get to your diaries tonight. :D

Way to go being down a pound from last week. You certainly are on a downward trend.
Hopefully the "competition" on the house will benefit you in the long run.
Catch ya later.

Excellent job on your 1lb loss! That's what I lost too, I'm surprised I lost anything due to all the Ice cream and popcorn I've been eating! I've been madly working out in hopes that I could offset my binges. It' worked, only just. This week I vow to cool it and stay out of the fridge! Have a great week

Go Blue!!!!

Yeah, I can't believe it tastes as good as it does. It looks like tree bark..lmao.

Oh, I know, I should get some bread to make a spam sandwich. :D

Rae--I'm glad you find my diary entertaining..lol. You're a good granddaughter. I agree--it's important to visit family in the hospital like you do. Hopefully you'll be rewarded by your granddaughter visiting you in the hospital someday in the far off future. :D

Re the baby making, H and I both wanted to get it on this morning, as he didn't have to work due to Good Friday. But I had to take Granny to a doc appt and then go to work. So we had to put our lust on hold. :drool5:

Priti--You should try the Fiber One cereal--it really tastes ok--not as good as some cereals, but you can also mix it with your regular cereal and still get all the benefits of it without sacrificing any flavor. :D

Here's the break down of what I ate to get those totals:
1 cup Fiber One Raisin Clusters w/1% milk
3 cups strawberries w/3/4 cup of 1% cottage cheese
steak wrap w/lettuce, cheddar cheese, grilled onions and green pepper, tomato and salsa ranch dressing
chicken breast w/salsa and mixed veggies
1/2 cup reg Fiber One

Bella--you'll probably beat to under 30 BMI, but it'll be fun trying..hahahha

Eldaweesda--220 is not a new low, but it's lower than last week. :D I hear ya on the bingeing! Don't ask me what I've eaten today--too much!! :piggy: Fri, Sat and Sun are my high cal days atm.

I ended up not meeting with my client to write an offer tonight, as it's snowing like a mofo out and the roads are terrible. My dad said it took him nearly 2hrs to get home from work, and he saw several cars and a semi in the ditch on the way. My H just got home and said he nearly slid off our road it was so slick--there is a coating of ice under the snow. I'd say we've got about 4 inches already. Some areas south of us have already gotten 9 inches! So much for Spring!! :ack2:

As it's a bank that owns the house we're writing on, they won't touch it until Monday anyway, so no rush to get it in tonight. My client was so happy when I told her we didn't have to meet tonight--it would have been a white knuckle drive for her for sure.

Wow weather is nuts where you are! My mom (in Chicago) was telling me it was snowing out! Today the weather here in ST. Louis was 60 degrees and sunny. we had a BAD winter (for us) but at least springtime is arriving on time!!!!!! I love this weather. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 40s, but that's still fantastic as long as there is NO SNOW!

Sorry you are still ahving winter weather crap! I would hate to still be getting that much snow so close to Easter, when it is supposed to finally feel like spring. (Of course, we had no snow, but enough rain to flood everything and set records this week! Over 9 inches of rain in 12 hours.)

So, any baby making plans tonight? Gotta get that bun in the oven...or at least the preheating done...
