I managed to get a good hour long workout out this weekend in Ohio. The fitness center at the hotel was horrible but I sucked it up and improvised. Have an awesome Monday!!

That book you just read sounds great, I'll have to check it out. I haven't had a lot of time lately to read, but that's one thing I need to start pushing into my work week. I miss it!

Thanks for stopping by Twin! I'm sure you kicked ass at the gym tonight. I did an hour of circuit training tonight, giving me 3hrs of exercise for the challenge so far. I'm planning on getting the max exercise pts, so I need to get in 2 more hrs by the end of Thursday. Shouldn't be a problem.

It was 65 degrees here today!! That is VERY unusual. I'm certainly not complaining!! No sunshine here, though. The last two days have been drizzly, dark and dreary. Reminds me of an Edgar Allen Poe poem..lol We are also under a tornado watch until 2am. There was a tornado warning earlier for an area just 40 miles NW of us. There have also been funnel cloud sightings about 2hrs NW of us.

Thanks! :D I'm down to 224 today, so only 1.5lbs to go before I'm back to my lowest. I'm hoping for a 5lb loss this week--that's what it'll be if I make it to 222.5 for Friday's weigh in. :svengo:

Nice job sucking it up and improvising this weekend. Hotel fitness centers are hit or miss. Some of them are really great, and others suck ass. My best experience so far was at the Hyatt in Dearborn last year. I figure at the very worst there will be a treadmill and I can at least get in a good 1/2 hr of cardio.

I'm currently watching the college football National Championship game between Ohio St. and LSU (Louisiana State Univ. for non-Yanks). I am hoping LSU gets its act together and pulls off a decisive win. Otherwise I've got a flock of crow to eat for all the smack I talked with a Buckeye in an off-topic thread!! :D

The car was acting funny today and I ended up getting an oil change and a transmission flush. The mechanic said the tranny fluid was very murky, so hopefully that'll make the car run better. Either way, it was in desperate need of the work done. I just hope that fixes it, b/c I don't want to spend a fortune on transmission work. :ack2:

Anyway, I've only had 734 calories so far today b/c I wasn't planning on spending most of the afternoon dealing with my car. So, I'm off to grab something to eat. :drool5:

I guess the salmon certainly didn't hurt, b/c I knocked another lb off this morning. 3.5 down, 1.5 to go.

I don't think I'll be booted out this week..lol. That would be really sad if the one in charge of the challenge got knocked out the first week..lol.

bmohearn: I have the worst luck when it comes to cars!! I feel for you!

Thanks, Brandy! Cars are great when they are running well, and monsterous beasts when they aren't! We drove clunkers for several years that nickled and dimed us in repairs. Then we decided it was just as economical to take out a loan for a newer vehicle that didn't break down nearly as much. I pay about the same amount of money each year, but I have a much more reliable vehicle. One of the best decisions I ever made! :)

I agree. If it weren't for this challenge, I know I'd still be carrying most of those 5lbs--if not more. The fear of being eliminated has really gotten me back on track--and God knows I needed to get back on it, after falling off the wagon for so long during the holidays. I made this week's challenge very hard b/c I don't want any ties making things hard elimination wise, and it also is good b/c I've got my iron will back that had evaporated at the sight of cookies and other goodies. I think this week's bonus had really helped you cut out the naughty temptations, too. :)

You can be on my team for thousands of dollars. But I'd rather be paid in Euros...lmao :D I can be bought. :D

Monday 1/07/08 food:
1 cup strawberries, ½ cup 1% cottage cheese: 128 calories
1 hamburger patty, 1 lg potato, ½ tspn olive oil, 2 slices cheddar cheese: 606 cals
Big bowl of oatmeal with protein powder: 416 cals, 1 small and 1 med apple: 147 cals, Total: 1,378 calories

Well, LSU pulled off a 14pt win, so I won't be eating any crow. :D

My calories are pretty low for me today, but it's late and I'm not hungry. :svengo: Amazing! Normally I'm fighting the munchies. :lurk5:

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!! Our Tuesday morning sales meetings have resumed again, so I'll be dragging my ass out of bed early (for me) tomorrow. :nopity: hahahaha

Hey Kim! Way to go on the weight loss this week. You are kicking some major ass with this challenge. I am rocking and rolling with the exercise and bonus points but I think my weight loss will be quite slow AS USUAL. I am doing every thing I can think of to get this damn metabolism going but I think my thyroid has decided to be a little bitch. Grrr!
 
I third that to Amy, because I work my tail off to lose just one pound. LOL LOL Twin hope your day is rocking and doing well. I can't believe your dropping this weight so fast, WOW, send some of that melting power my way PRETTY PLEASE!

Did you guys finally get that money from the sale of that house? If you mentioned it way back in the pages, I apologize for not being up to speed. How is your dad doing by the way?? Is he still up for the losing weight part? Or has he fizzled out?

I am pleased that the salmon worked for you. It would be great if you were back down to your low weight by Friday.

I think that I would faint of hunger if I only had 1378 calories in a day. No wonder the weight is dropping off you.
