BikiniBound's Diary

Hey Kim! Way to go on the weight loss this week. You are kicking some major ass with this challenge. I am rocking and rolling with the exercise and bonus points but I think my weight loss will be quite slow AS USUAL. I am doing every thing I can think of to get this damn metabolism going but I think my thyroid has decided to be a little bitch. Grrr!

I feel for ya. I did everything right in August and September, but lost not a lb over 2 months. Talk about :banghead: Then one day the weight started coming off again. Go figure. Just don't give up--that goes to Cita as well.

Howdy Kimberly,
Your doing awesome and YES the challange is
pretty hard but it makes ya stick to your guns.My fingers are crossed
for FRIDAY for ya,I am sure you will hit your low tho with flying colors.

I third that to Amy, because I work my tail off to lose just one pound. LOL LOL Twin hope your day is rocking and doing well. I can't believe your dropping this weight so fast, WOW, send some of that melting power my way PRETTY PLEASE!

Did you guys finally get that money from the sale of that house? If you mentioned it way back in the pages, I apologize for not being up to speed. How is your dad doing by the way?? Is he still up for the losing weight part? Or has he fizzled out?

If I could send it I would!! :D

No, it hasn't closed yet. It could take up to 3 more months before it happens. I don't expect to see any $$ until late Spring.

Dad is doing well health-wise. He fell off the wagon over the holidays like I did, but I think he's sort of back on it. I hope, anyway. :)

Hi Kimberly

I hope that Tuesday is going well for you.

I am pleased that the salmon worked for you. It would be great if you were back down to your low weight by Friday.

I think that I would faint of hunger if I only had 1378 calories in a day. No wonder the weight is dropping off you.

Take care
Love
Margaret

I honestly wasn't hungry last night. Normally I would be fighting off midnight munchies. That is the lowest I've eaten in AGES. My schedule was just crazy yesterday, so I didn't eat much until evening, hence the low cals. I do not like to make a habit of eating that low. Today has been better--nearly 1600. Just keep in mind--you exercise MUCH more than I do, so you should eat more than I. :)

You know I'm a proponent of not taking dieting too far, but every once in a while its nice to hit a low calorie number. I'm starving right now off 1750 calories but I know if I dont suffer through the hunger I dont have a chance of losing anything. Grrrr. Onward!

Thanks! I'm sure you'll do really well this week, too. :)

Don't you just love those days that don't turn out at all like you planned? This morning Granny called to tell us that she was having numbness in her leg and severe pain in her shoulder and was calling the ambulance. Dad and I met her at the hospital where we spent the whole day. They ran some tests, and said her enzyme levels were high--meaning it was probably her heart. They gave her some medicine and kept her overnight, planning to do a stress test tomorrow. She called tonight to say that her enzyme levels were much better and they might not do the stress test after all. So she might be coming home in the morning. She didn't have another heart attack, but they said it was her heart acting up. I believe they are going to put her back on Plavix. They think this will fix things.

Anyway, in all the excitement, I forgot to weigh myself. So I have no idea if I dropped the rest of the weight. I almost brought my laptop with me today, and then decided not to. Now I wish I had b/c I was there for ages. Oh well. lol

Dad and I ate lunch in the hospital cafeteria. I had a Quiznos turkey sub with no mayo--only mustard. Dad had a fish sandwich and some fried mushrooms. And yes, I was dying to snitch one, but I didn't. The only reason I didn't is that I was determined not to screw up my bonus pts...lmao. And now I'm really glad I didn't b/c Dad said they weren't even that great--he didn't even eat them all. :D

I came home from the hospital and quickly changed and rushed to the gym before it closed. Got in 40minutes, and then came home and got on the bike for 20 min. I was sweating my ass off by the end...lol.

Exercise this week:
1/07—60 min circuit training, weight: 224
1/08—40 min circuit training, 20 min bike, 7.1 miles

Tuesday's Food:
cottage cheese, yogurt
turkey sandwich, granola bar
banana, apple juice, dinner roll
roast beef, green beans, baked potato
2 apples, total calories: 1,745

I forgot about the granola bar I ate at the hospital. That added 150 calories. Still, not a bad day.

Hi Kimberly

It sounds like the hospital was the best place for your grandmother to be - and it is good that it appears that possible serious consequences were averted. You will have been very worried about her.
Under these circumstances you did really well to keep your calories at what I would call a moderate and normal level - and make it all healthy food. I dont count calories - but doubt that I go lower than that ever. You also did well to get your exercise in.

Your Dad even did quite well to not eat all his fried mushrooms. He must be trying to be good. There is many a time that I have ploughed my way through a plate of fried food that I wasnt truly enjoying in the hope that it would get better. I never left food. I actually still pretty much never leave food.

Take care

So sorry to hear about Granny. :hug2:

How scary!

I hate those kind of phone calls/events! (I mean, who doesn't?)

I hope everything will be fine now.

Food/Exercise is going well! Good Job. :)

I hope you have a Goal Reachin' Wed.

<3 Ya!

mmm...fried shrooms....

I hope Granny gets better soon, or you'll need to buy a bingo game and play in her room, I'd hate to have get withdrawal pain.

Good to see Granny's going to be fine, I hate when this kind of stuff happens, you never know how serious it's going to be at this age. Look at you not even grabbing for those fried mushrooms, YOU GO GIRL! I'm very proud of you!!! I think your food items are awesome today, and way to go rocking it out at the gym and then coming home to bike also. Hmmmm you talk about my workouts, YEAH RIGHT! You work it as hard as I do. I'm certain you weight loss this week is going to be VERY, VERY good to you, and I couldn't be happier!!! WAY TO GO!!

It's sunny here today by the way, COLD by sunny.

hey hope your granny gets better.

lol nearly everyday is a day that doesn't go to plan! such is life hehe!

good luck with 222.5 by friday...even if you don't get that 3.5lb in a week is awsome!!

keep it up

;-)

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Granny is fine. They discharged her today. I picked her up at noon, and then she wanted to go out to lunch, so we did. Then she wanted to go home to sleep b/c she slept terribly at the hospital last night.

I came home and had a nap, too. :D

Weight was 223 today, so I was pleased about that. But, my cals have been kinda high today--1,974 so far, but I haven't eaten any forbidden foods. I haven't exercised, either. I'm taking the day off. I'll get my 5th hour in tomorrow and call it good for the week. I'm curious to see what the scale says tomorrow. I suspect it may be up a bit. :(

I'm trying to keep my calories under 11,900 for the week. That's a 1700cal a day avg. Since the challenge started last Friday, I've eaten 10,126 calories, leaving me with up to 1,774 to eat tomorrow. I think that is very doable..lol.

First of all, I'm so very glad Granny is fine! That must've been very worrying.

Good job on getting almost to your lowest weight. Soon you'll be dropping into the TEENS!

Perfect job with the weekly calorie average and getting in all your challenge exercise.

:seeya:

Thanks Angel and Cita. I forgot to weigh myself this morning--how annoying! I just realized that I didn't do it. I guess I got out of the habit over the holidays. lol

Today is really nice--45 degrees F and it was sunny up until a few minutes ago. I'm gonna go for a long walk in a few. I want to take advantage of the rare opportunity this time of year. The snow is all melted. :D

So far today I've had a banana, a chicken breast with some salsa and sour cream, and then 2 cups of broccoli and 2 cups of cauliflower. I think I've got my daily veggies in!

You are doing awesome with your food. Way to go!

As for this fiber bonus, our H's aren't going to be too pleased if we all go eating tons more fiber. Ha!!

Honestly, it doesn't make me anymore gassy than normal...heehee. :D

Anyway, most men think farts are funny, so it should be a real gas...sorry, bad pun. :ack2:
