BikiniBound's Diary

I agree, the last place we stayed in Eureka Springs was a Cottage B&B so it wasn't actually attached to the house, and IF you wanted to join them in the morning for breakfast on the MAIN deck you can, but if not, they brought breakfast out to your deck. And I think they did wine/cheese too once and again if you wish to come into the MAIN house and socialize great, and if not, they just came into your place when you are out and put it in your mini bar it was really great!! I only saw the owners twice, once when I paid and they showed us to our cottage, and then the 2nd day, when I wanted her to show me one of the bigger cottages, she answered questions about local places to eat, and then she was off, as she said, she is really so busy during the day preparing rooms, food and so on, it's hard for her to get real down time. I like to socialize too, but I don't want the pressure of feeling like I have to, and I never do or at least I haven't yet at any of the ones we have stayed in so far. :)

Go to the l ibrary and get the book... there's all sorts of quizzes in the book that can help you decide... or send me your address and i'll send you my 2 year old copy - they update it every year but any year has valuable info...

That is a real blast from the past Mal. My stepmother had gotten me that book back in 1990 to figure out what I wanted to do. I do remember there were quizzes and stuff but that's all I remember.

They have the kids here in our highschool take those tests also, so they have more of an idea as to what might fit. My boys both took them and it was pretty cool.

they re-release the book every year -with up to date information... while older versions can be helpful - the books that came out from 2000ish on - has a wealth of info on internet stuff and things people wouldn't have thought of.

There are very few books out there that I would strongly reccommend - this is one of them - I look at a lot of resumes in the course of a year and I swear I want to send a copy of the book to too many people who've sent in really badly written resumes..

some of the quizzes in the book are quite interesting becuase it will ask you the things you like least and best about your current position and give you some guidance as to how to apply the skills you have to a different market..

I mentioned this book tonight at the marriage counsellors, and he highly recommended it. He's used it in classes he's taught. He's gonna bring me his copy of it next time. :)

Cool, let us know what the book figures you'd want to do. Perhaps you'll get H to do it too?! Ha ha

Are you feeling better today?

Yeah, we're both gonna have a looksie at it. However, we won't be seeing the mc again until a couple of weeks.. I might go to amazon.com and see if there are any used copies available--I'm sure there will be.

I'm feeling MUCH better today. It just really got under my skin--what that bitch said to me. I let things like that get to me more than I should. I'm thin skinned, what can I say? The mc told me i made the right decision telling her i wouldn't work with her. He's a cool guy. ;)

Aaaaawwwwwww, that is so sad that the bitch from hell made you feel bad. She's a bitter old wench, don't let someone like that make you feel bad. Easier said than done I know.

I had corn tonight because of you . I know those are like kiddie veggies but I still cant work up to anything else. However, I did also have a large salad with lunch containing romaine lettuce, tomato, peppers, red onion, carrots and some other stuff so that counts for something right? Yes, I've made this my new confessional ha ha.

I have a copy sitting right here -if you want it -i'll throw it in the mail to you tomorrow... I'm not a counsellor but I've worked a helluva lot of years :) there are one or two things I do know -despite being negative all the time :)

That definitely counts! Nice job!! I'm so proud of you. :)

Like I said, I'm very thin skinned. And drinking a bottle of wine just made me a complete emotional mess...

Oh, I just ordered a used copy of that book. Should arrive later on this week. It's the 2004 edition--$10 cheaper than the 2007 edition.

Oops! I already ordered a copy. Only cost me $4 including shipping and handling, so no biggie. Thanks for the offer, though. Mal, you know all kinds of stuff, despite being negative most of the time. :) And negative or not, I think you're pretty cool.

I hope Scalentino goes down on you again !

As for getting out of RE, they say the best job is the one you have that doesn't feel like a job. Where you do what you love and are lucky enough to get paid to do it. Unfortunatly those are kinda hard to come by. Is running a B&B your "ideal job" ? Or do you have something else that you would lve to do?

I think would enjoy it--as long as I could make a decent living at it. lol. I think my ideal job would be a writer--but that is very difficult to earn a decent living at. Although Sheryl thinks I could do very well for myself writing erotica..lmao.:rotflmao:
